I stopped in after work to place 2 to go orders @ 6:30pm yesterday 4/7/24 close @ 7. As I was about to order the young girl behind the counter said I just put cleaning chemicals on griddle I hope you don't want anything from there. Of course both my orders were from griddle. She said she could rinse it off and proceeded to the back where she filled a pitcher w water. Meantime the young man proceeded to approach the order counter and asked me what I wanted to order. I again said I'm waiting on the other worker to rinse off chemicals from the griddle & he proceeded to tell me sorry we can't use griddle so is there anything else off the menu that you would want. I immediately became very upset and proceeded to ask why would you clean the griddle this early if you close @ 7. I then proceeded to tell him the hours on the door and website should be changed to reflect their cleaning regime. I also said this was a shit poor business plan and said I would reach out to the owner and discuss this matter Im not much of a fan of Yelp, but definitely thought this was deserving of a negative review. I usually only get the grilled chicken Caesar salad from here. The portion is generous as I'm usually full when I finish it. It's made with fresh ingredients and they even cook and season the chicken they use for the salad so in my opinion improves the taste tremendously. I only wish they would give a little more dressing. I always forget to ask for an extra cup and I'm one of those people who love every single bite to be coated in dressing lol. I also liked how they gave me a couple small pita chips. Those tasted like they were made in house and were delicious! I used them to make a little salad sandwich lol. The wife and I stopped in before heading to an event at OCC, and we wanted something quick and close. We walked in about noon and the place was empty other than the two employees. Our order was taken right away, with the wife ordering a Monte Cristo panini while I went with a southwest steak pita, and we also got a side of pasta salad and a rice pudding dessert. The employees weren't exactly the most exuberant, but weren't rude either. They told us to take a seat and our order would be brought out to us. Food was prepared relatively quickly. Our sandwiches were served on paper plates which was a tad off putting for a sit in, but it's not exactly some upscale restaurant anyway. The restaurant is modernly decorated and extremely clean, as others have pointed out. They clearly put an emphasis on cleanliness. We dug into our food and agreed that everything was just ok. My pita was filled with fresh veggies and a tasty chipotle sauce, but it was just normal unseasoned cheese-steak style meat inside. It was huge, but also hard to eat and extremely messy. My wife said her sandwich was ok, nothing special. Bread wasn't toasted nearly as long as it should've been. The pasta salad side was not enjoyable at all. It had little flavor to it and the flavor it did have wasn't enjoyable. My wife did enjoy her rice pudding, however. Overall, it was alright, but nothing special, and a place we probably wouldn't visit again. read more

Updating my review from 2 stars to 4. I don't know if it was the schools "closing" or just the pandemic in general but the last few months the experience with the staff here has drastically improved. The food is consistently good, the staff greets you when you enter & the overall customer service you receive has gotten significantly better. The pitas, paninis, salads, all of the food is just SO good. The ingredients are fresh, they have a variety of dressings, and I have yet to have anything here that I didn't like. read more

Food can be hit or miss, usually more hit than miss but we've got some awful food from here, the employees are not exactly the best and act like their doing you some kind of favor by taking your order, I wouldn't exactly eat in here, drive over to santaro park which is literally a 1 min drive away and sit somewhere nicer if your planning on dining in, not many sandwich options around here, if the foods a hit it's closer to 4 stars but I've gotten grilled cheese that was black burnt and literally didn't have cheese in it, I got a chicken panini once and the chicken was literally solid and I had to have them remake it which they tried to charge me for, like I said their aren't a lot of options for food around here so give it a shot but the employees will most likely be rude and lets hope the food is a hit. read more

They were kind to accommodate 20 of my friends and I. Let's get right down to business. I had the gyro with lamb. On presentation, it looked a bit underwhelming, with the pita most notably being dry, flat, and lacking texture (think: fluffy, moist). However be aware that the meat was not prepared from the "rotating spit" you and I are familiar with, aka "shawarma." So the meat was moist, but lacking the thin shaved texture and the natural smoked flavor that's imparted by charcoal/wood. The tzatziki sauce was thin, and lacking flavor somewhat. I craved more sourness from it, wishing it had more scent of dill, lemon, and cucumber. But it tasted more like a "lite yogurt mayo." 4/10 However, their gyro is redeemed because of the paninis my friend let me try. They were delicious. They surely know how to make paninis. I saw that the italian panini had real mozzarella balls, pesto, tomatoes, and peppers. Gosh, so darn good. I actually liked it better than the tuna one he had me try. 7/10 read more

I ordered a sub for my wife and a pita for myself. Pita was "okay," in terms of taste and felt as though it was rushed. Sauce was clumpy and appeared to be curdled, although it was not. Meat was bland tasting as though it was just slaughtered and cooked without any seasoning. Overall, this pita was as good as if I was attempting to make one without any recipe, only using a picture for reference(yes I know, poor analogy) My wife's sub was a horror show and my highlight of this review. It was delivered in a heap at the bottom of a paper bag and was unsanitary for consumption. There was no tape on it's wrapping paper, although there was tape on my pita's wrapper! I didn't even bother tasting it. It looked like utter vomit. Had some effort been taken to actually properly wrap my wife's sandwich, then maybe I could give it a review. Instead, it was garbage. I did feel it was just to complain to management. A candid phone call did nothing to remedy this issue that day. I will say I was offered another sandwich verbally, but I could not get it until the next day. Overall, poor delivery service and poor quality of food. The first time we went and the Philly Cheesesteak was amazingly good. Also the Turkey and artichoke Panini and soup were good. The Sandwich was a little dry and not as grilled as it could be, but all in all the stuff was fresh. This second time we went the first ones in for lunch on a Sunday and were very disappointed. My husband was set on a Philly Cheese and the server told us there was too much chicken on the grill, no room to prepare the Philly. Reluctantly, he ordered a gyro. I ordered what I thought would be fresh and safe: a chicken Caesar salad. When the gyro came, the meat was cold, there wasn't enough sauce, tomatoes, or fresh veggies to make it like a good gyro should be. My salad leaves were brown in places, and the chicken tasted old and the Ceasar dressing was too full of vinegar it made me choke. The soup we ordered was warm and had to be reheated. If they want to keep their place open, they need better attention to fresh foods, especially when they open, and if they advertise a Philly Cheesesteak , they should be prepared to cook it when it ordered. Throw out old salad and chicken before the next day makes poor leftovers you sell for over seven dollars. The one server looked tired and impatient, not the way to greet the public.
