Plan slice, penne vodka slice and a grandma slice. So yummy
    Joanne G.

Hmm not sure what is going on here and these reviews but the pizza is pretty good. Maybe because I got the fresh slices, but it's good. The grandma slice i devoured and my son loved his penne slice. Their regular slice was pretty big. Guys behind the counter were nice and service was quick. Pizza has a crispness to it too. Coming back and getting a grandma pie.

    Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce
    Sarah C.

The soup I ordered (pasta fagioli) was actually very good. It tasted fresh and it was hot when delivered. I did not care for my ziti. The sauce just had a funny taste to me and I was not a fan of it at all. It didn't taste bad per se but just wasn't for me. If I were ever to order again I'd probably order something else, but the experience wasn't great so I'll probably order from one of the many pizza places in the area if I'm ordering again.

Pizza is dry. Perfect example of a bad pizza place in NJ. Had it one time. Won't be back. Owner is rude and so is staff.

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!

We came on Valentine's Day for an early 6 PM dinner and were seated right away, which we appreciated. Then we sat for about 20 minutes before anyone even came by to take a drink order. When the waiter finally showed up, we just ordered everything at once to save time. We sat down at 6. Our appetizer didn't arrive until 6:45. Then our entrées didn't come out until 7:35. My wife ordered the surf and turf--filet mignon (medium) and a lobster tail. The filet was burnt to a crisp, look at the way they cut it to cook it, and the lobster tail was so dry and flavorless it was honestly shocking. Probably the worst lobster I've ever tasted. I ordered the stuffed filet of sole, and it was so dry I had to peel off the top layer just to get to the stuffing--which, by the way, tasted spoiled. Overall, the food was a complete disappointment, especially for a place that looks so nice.
