If it weren't for Chuck, I don't think I would've bought these boots. No, he didn't talk me into buying anything. He didn't press me to buy a certain brand or type of boot. I felt like a trust Chuck. I took his word. That guy took the boots off his own feet to let me feel how an exotic leather becomes more supple as you wear and condition them as opposed to how rigid and tough they feel on the shelf. While I waited for a button on my son's jeans to be replaced, I got a glimpse of the tailoring area in the back and learned that several of the tailors were from Senegal. Having lived in Senegal myself many years ago, I asked if I could say hello--and before long I was chatting with them in Wolof about Senegal, the World Cup, and life in general. They were delighted, I was delighted, and even an family in the front trying on formal wedding attire became part of the moment. What really sets British Custom Tailors apart is the combination of professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. I went in for a button and walked out feeling like I had discovered a wonderful little community. Highly recommend this place for alterations, tailoring, or anything else they can do. They sewed part of the pocket completely shut and didn't address a ripped seem (see pic). I asked for a refund and the guy literally refused which is crazy. I think the source of the issue is there are too many people between the customer and the actual tailor so communication breaks down. I suggest finding a place where you can talk to the actual person who will be doing the alteration.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They made size and fit recommendations and offered to order something that wasn't in stock (I have a odd frame) they simply contacted me when it was available and offered to tailor it to fit. They obsoletely went above and beyond what any other store would do. The selection of clothing is nice and stylish. They have everything you'll need for work and social events. They'll dress you head to toe! Keep in mind this isn't your $10 T-shirt shop or a place you'll find a cheap button up. The quality of items they have is top notch and made to last.
