Accidentally called this tire shop instead of the usual Brooks-Huff I go to in Towson. Good thing though, since it turns out the shop in Towson has been absolutely swamped and this one in Pandonia could take me same-day. The tires they had on hand were a bit out of my price range but they were able to find a more affordable one for me to get delivered from a nearby warehouse. There's plenty of good places to eat nearby if you want to get a bite while you wait, even a Lidl to do a little grocery shopping. Staff focuses on getting the job done. I'll definitely return here when I need anything else. read more

I have lived in the same area since 1996. It took me a few years to "find" this location, but when I did, I have never left and take my vehicle here exclusively unless it's an oil change where I have a dirt-cheap coupon or something. I have one of those above-and-beyond stories where the guys here just popped in my headlight (for free) when I took out the wrong one when trying to replace it myself. It literally took two minutes and while I was prepared to pay, the manager just had one of his guys pop it in and they sent me on my way with a smile. So I *do* have that story, but I also have a half dozen or more stories where they just flat out treated me right and provided services quickly! (with an exclamation point) and always at a reasonable price. My wife has had similar experiences, and neither of us will hesitate to go to this Brooks-Huff location again. read more

I stopped by because my apartment complex was up the street and my cigarette lighters in my car didn't appear to be working. They were nice to get me in right away to check my car out. The mechanic was very nice and explained that he checked the power and that nothing was wrong with the lighters, it was my phone charger plug. I was embarrassed, as I thought I checked all three of my chargers but I guess I was mistaken. I was surprised that just to tell me that, I was charged 75 dollars. I thought it was a bit steep. These guys are not on top of there game I took a Acura TL 2008 with 86,345 miles on it the mechanic told me it had a broken motor mount and burnt out fog light on the right side took it up to Frankel Acura they told me the motor mounts were fine and the bulb wasn't screwed in all the way so with that being said public beware on state inspections at this shop they are NOT honest =Craig j You know this guy can say what ever he wants but I'm telling you right now when I took the Tl up to Frankel Acura and zack one of there master technicians told me about those motor mounts and showed me there is no getting away with the truth so that's all I have to say about that !!!Craig j read more

They changed the oil and left the oil cap off! I was lucky the check engine light came on when it did because it was just an oily mess, half a quart low, and the cap was even still sitting there in the engine compartment. The mechanic I took it to said usually when they see such stupidity the engine's blown. Brooks-Huff could have killed my car by negligence! I have gone to Brooks Huff for several years, as has the rest of my family. The first time I had an issue was about two years ago. I purchased a set of tires and purchased the insurance that went along with them. When two of the tires went flat I was then told that they would only reimburse for a portion of the cost, because I had worn the tires down. When I spoke to a different Brooks Huff location, they said this was ridiculous and that their store would always reimburse for the full cost of the tires if the insurance was purchased. I then stopped going to the Brooks Huff location on Padonia Road. But I came upon a second issue with their service last week. My timing belt went out when I was driving, and I had to have my car towed and the belt replaced. I thought I remembered having the belt replaced at the Brooks Huff in Timonium not too long ago, so I gave them a call. When I inquired about this service, they said that yes, I had had my belt replaced in February of 2011. Timing belts are supposed to be replaced every 100,000 miles (and therefore supposed to last 100,000 miles). When I asked if Brooks Huff on Padonia Road guaranteed their work, they said that the warranty is good for 12 months or 12,000 miles. I had put 20,000 miles on my car since they replaced the timing belt. When I asked if timing belts were, in fact, supposed to last 100,000 miles, the man told me yes, but sorry about my luck. They don't care that mine broke after only 20,000 miles. In my opinion, this is terrible service and I will never be bringing my car back to that Brooks Huff location. They are overpriced and their work is sub-par. I would recommend for anyone to stay away from this location. read more

BIG shout out to Brooks Huff on Padonia Rd. Those guys are awesome. I took my car in not realizing that they were about to close in a half hour. They said it might not be ready until Monday. They decided to take it back and do a quick test on it and concluded that it was just the battery that needed to be replaced. So not only did they stay a few minutes late to replace it but they gave me a great deal on it. The general manager was incredibly friendly and helpful and the staff were all professional and kind. I always go there for my oil changes but based on today, they have a loyal customer in me. read more

I just have to say that these guys are awesome! I took my van in for service knowing it had a lot of problems. I must say I was apprehensive being a woman taking my car to get services and was very worried about getting taken advantage of by a service center. Very quickly my fears were eased by their amazing service. Because of how much work needed to be done on my car they had to have it for over a day which left me without a car and they let me use their van so I could get around. Not only that, they stayed late to work on my car and even though they worked for a long time they didn't charge me an arm and a leg for labor. Adam and Mike are wonderful and go the extra mile for their customers. I am so happy with Brooks Huff and plan on taking my car there in the future. read more

Didn't have service done here, but stopped in to get my tire psi monitor system reset after I rotated tired. They took 5 min out of their busy schedule to reset all 4 tires, gratis! Wish there was more mechanics like these guys! Fox Chevrolet up the street tried to charge me $60 and make we wait about 3 hrs to get it in!!! read more

I took my old Hyundai excel there in the nineties because it wouldn't pass emissions, they put 600 dollars of work in it and the car ran worse and burned oil worse, had to put almost a quart in every week. a couple of years ago my friends car hose that goes from the radiator to the water pump broke. they told him he needed not only the hose replaced but a new water pump too because it was bad. he got the hose fixed and said no to the new water pump. the car has run fine since on the old water pump. it just needed a hose but they wanted to upsell. see the thing is they make money by taking the old water pump out, refurbishing it and selling it to someone else. the people that wrote good reviews are probably girlfriends and friends of the crooks there. read more

I used them for years and something there changed. I do not find them trustworthy anymore. I took my Jeep there for a check engine light on and they ran numerous tests and charged for them. Never fixed the problem. Had to return several times after they said it was fixed and charged hundreds of dollars. I also had a heater fan not working and they said that it was because the check engine light was on and it would cost over 1100.00 to fix the heater. I left Brooks Huff with a lighter wallet and neither of the problems fixed. They did not follow with me nor give credit. Bottom line: I took the Jeep to another shop and the check engine light was on because of a faulty fuel filter: Cost was 200.00 to fix it on the first try. The same shop fixed the heater for 150.00 on the first try. Watch out for Brooks Huff. read more

I am a Groupon groupie. So when I saw this establishment offering a really good deal on oil changes, I thought that I would give them a try. I went a couple of time for oil changes and was really satisfied with the service. I even purchased a couple of tires. I went back a third time for an oil change - no problem (at least that's what I thought). After a few days, I noticed stains on my driveway. Not knowing what the leak was or where it was coming from, I made an appointment to take it to the dealer. They showed me the source of the leak. My whole undercarriage had oil on it. I was informed that the person that did the oil change did not replace the crush washer (this washer "crushes" to form a very tight seal, thereby preventing motor oil leaks without overstressing the oil pan threads). I immediately called Eric (at this location) and informed him and told him that I would pay for whatever the dealer had to do and that I expected to be reimbursed. I went there after leaving the dealer and he reimbursed me; however, he was not very apologetic (he was rather nonchalant). I took my money and left, knowing that I would never go back there again. NEVER, NEVER, EVER GOING BACK THERE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE I CARE ABOUT! read more

This place is crooked like the previous reviewer said. I went here several times and will not go back. All the times I went were for oil changes until the last. I went to this place because my car kept stalling on me and I had the car towed here. So when I went to find out what was wrong with my car they told me that the hood release broke and in order to get into the car to check on the engine they had to repair this first. They never called me to ask if they should or could repair this, they just did it! Then they told me that I had carbon in my engine and it would be really expensive to fix. I declined them to fix it so I could get a 2nd opinion. They still charged me $500 to fix the hood release (which wasn't broken when I took it there) and for labor. A few weeks after this happened to me my friend who also visits this place said that they told her that her hood release broke as well. They are crooked! Don't go here or you will find that your hood release is broken too! read more

I have dealt with many auto shops that try to take you to the bank and try to tell you things that don't need to be replaced need to be replaced. Called the Padonia Road store in Timonium and made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation: was quoted around $24.95 for the oil change, $5 per wheel to rotate my tires. Spoke with the manager when I called for the appointment. Day of the appointment, I wasn't on the schedule. Then he charged me $70 for the oil change, said I told him synthetic oil... I told him whatever the manufacturer specs were... should have been synthetic blend. AND did not rotate the tires. When I told him I had the notes from when I called for the appointment he was rude, but did then rotate the tires for no extra charge. At least he took my keys and went in the back... no way of knowing if they were actually rotated. I went there because they'd been professional and reasonable the first time I used their service months ago. Told him he'd just lost a customer, he said he was fine with that. read more

The service is exceptional! I dont know anything about cars, and Eric took the time to explain what they were doing and even brought out my tire to demonstrate why it was important to rotate tires as mine were pulling hard on the left. He gave me the coupon price for the oil change, even though I did not have the coupon, finished more quickly than the estimated wait time he gave me, and gave me an estimate on a costly repair that he said he wouldnt change if it was his car right now, but that I should be aware of as I will need it at some point within the year. On top of all of that, they beat the price the dealership gave me by $150! read more

Check on google reviews for other reviews on this crooked place. I got an urgent call from them saying that my tires were about burst and they graciously suggested 4 new tires. The groupon I had included a tire rotation; however, because of the treads (I bought 4 of these at costco and only 35k on them so far) they said that they could/would not rotate for safety reasons. I politely declined and asked them to at least fill my passenger front tire that I noticed before the service was a bit deflated. The mechanic quickly replied he did, with 32 psi. When I looked, it was still a bit low. This time, I decided to watch them put the air in, and low and behold, the pressure was actually 22. That scumbag, DAVID, never even checked the tire pressure. I asked him to check both the front tires and both were not at 32 psi. Definitely crooks here. Would I come back, NEVER. Even if had a coupon for 5 dollars oil change, I wouldnt considering what they might do to harm the car. Better save your money and go elsewhere. read more
