We've been here before and had mixed experiences. Last night our food was less that great. The ribs which cost $23, were dry, over salted and burnt on the bottom. The chicken kebobs were well seasoned but dry and over cooked. The side salad was a bit limp. It also seemed like the place was a little under-staffed. The waitstaff seemed a bit frazzled and the kitchen was backed up. So sorry for the mediocre review. :( read more

We live in Conifer and this is our favorite place to eat, drink and be Merry. The staff are great, the place is clean and the prices are good. Nice atmosphere. We always enjoy our many visits to Brooks! Great Owners, great staff, great selection of drinks and food. The food is typically very good and the only reason I don't give 4 stars instead of 5 stars (especially for options in the area) is what appears to be inconsistencies in their kitchen staff which hinders consistency of food preparation. Overall best place in area to have a good experience! Thanks Janice, we love your establishment! The only recommendation I would provide is to teach the kitchen staff how to toast the buns on the flattop. It adds significant flavor, complexity and quality to the end product. I do not recommend the pretzel app with cheese dip, the dip was separated and then they added roux to bind it back together. Unfortunately by doing so the sauce tasted bland and I could not eat it. I never write reviews... but this time, i feel obliged to my fellow diners. Horrible service. Don't go there. We were hiking in the area and decided to grab some burgers. I checked Yelp for highly rated joints and found this place. Good ratings so we're decided to give it a try. Boy, it was a mistake! We got there at about 3 pm. We were seated inside. The menu looked good. We ordered pretzels and beer cheese appetizer, burgers and a meal off the kids' menu. The waitress told us the kitchen is backed up and we need to be patient. No problem. 20 mins later they brought salads. No appetizer or silverware. Our waitress hears about silverware and asks about refills and disappears. 10 mins later, the kids starving and picking out lettuce leaves by hand, we flag down another waitress and she brings us silverware. Still no drinks, appetizer or food. 20 more minutes they bring our our burgers...COLD. so are fries. Several more minutes go by, still no sight of our waitress. We flag another server and ask for the manager. Only after that or waitress decides to make an appearance with our drinks. When we tell her about our food being cold and missing an appetizer, she never blinks an eye. Never apologizes. She scolds me for being mean to her and says that she wouldn't be able to help. For someone working in a hospitality business, you'd expect them to know the difference between mean and dissatisfied with the service. Also tells us she never wrote down our order. My husband asked her to leave our table and let us work with the manager. The manager, Kim, came over, listened, apologized, redid our order and gave us a discount. We're grateful for how she handled it, but would never go back. Don't recommend it to anyone. There are much better places with a great service where you can get a good burger. read more

Something I love about a reasturant is consistancy and brooks does a perfect job. I go there almost once a week and I'm greeted by very friendly wait staff and good food every time. I love the wings and they have a great burger selection! Brooks is by far my favorite reasterant. I enjoy brooks so much I went there on my birthday and had a wonderful time. If it was possible I would give this reasterant a 10/5 stars because of how much I apreicate this place being in conifer! read more

The "Tequila Chicken" sounded like a good choice from the menu. Got a big plate of pasta and white sauce with lots of Jalapeños and some chicken squares. Wasn't expecting this..??? Don't really dig uncooked Jalapeños (too spicy unless expected, guess I should of read the fine print.) My eyes must be going bad didn't see a description. Tasted good but didn't want fiiler, or spicy. Not feeling great after this surprise. Next time I'll know better and order the pasta dish....haha.. didn't see this on the menu either. Time to re-think things for the chicken dish. A chicken breast would be cool. Whatever, the beer was good. I'll get the salad with chicken added next time I guess??? Food must be so good they don't need to tell you what your getting. Shouldn't of suggested it for the family members from out of town. They were well staffed for this very busy Friday night. The staff was very accommodating to our family of 5. The food was great! I had the seasonal Turkey Cran Club sandwich with Ruben Chowder for my side. Hubby loved the spicy kick in the Brooks Burger. The kids gobbled up their meals, which include a drink and a side. I love this place! We come here about once a week and I'm never disappointed. Great staff, great menu, and excellent service. They have a very extensive menu and pretty good specials. Tonight I had a seafood special served over pasta that was incredible.even when they're busy, they find time to stop by the table and chat. I REEEAAAALLLLYYYY wanted to like this place. A friend and I hike on the weekend and head for a new restaurant each time for bottomless mimosas. Brooks had not only bottomless mimosas on Sunday but also fried pickles - our favorite! After hiking Three Sisters we stopped in Conifer for brunch. It was a nice day so we sat on the patio, which is pretty but there's definitely a windy side. Despite the heads up the waiter gave us, I wish we would've requested the front of the building which wasn't nearly as windy. They had a serious fly problem, which can be handled easily and inexpensive so I would recommend the at least try to look into something. The waiter was nice, but forgot about us for quite some time. On the menu and on every social media site we checked the Sunday special was bottomless mimosas and a breakfast sandwich, when we asked the waiter he said they didn't have a breakfast sandwich. We pointed it out to him on the menu, he didn't seem concerned about it lol. I had half a grilled cheese and tomato soup which totally hit the spot, the fried pickles were amazing (order extra sauce!) And of course we enjoyed a mimosa or two... Or three. It's very roomy inside, I would think a great place for sports and parties. I might go back eventually, but I can't say I'm in a rush. read more

Stopped here on way home from Alamosa to Denver. Good place for a burger. Nachos are really good, add the ground beef. Views of mountains pretty spectacular. Service a little slow even though the place wasn't busy. Would stop here again. Might try someplace else if time is an ussue. read more

We live near by and eat there often. The menu is short and changes summer/fall. The food is far better at the new location and is always good. Be careful of the desert.. We made the mistake of ordering two pieces of cheesecake to go at $6.50 a slice. When we got home we found out it was two TINY slices that were maybe three bites each. Go to Brooks and eat the food, but get your desert at the Sooper next door on your way home. Just as good, but twice the size and half the price. read more

I was very, very disappointed on mothers day to have ordered ahi wrap that consisted of two very small thin sliced pieces of ahi and the entire test of the plate was lettuce and charged me $16. Even when i ordered an extra side of ahi, there were 3 tiny slices (that should have been on my original order) and of course charged for it. This is one of very few times we eat out and i am reminded why we don't eat out. Are you guys trying to be Ravens? Because you know what happened to them. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this place, and the staff's helpfulness. We ordered a gyro plate and a kids' meal. Both were plentiful portions; but could have used a bit more seasoning. We stopped in on a snowy, Saturday afternoon. The place was busy, but we were seated promptly. The menu has a nice variety of items and they have special items at times. I went at lunch time a couple of day ago, by myself, which can be a good indicator of the wait staff's attention of lack thereof. My waitress was inattentive but fortunately another re-filled my iced tea. I ordered a side of fries and a black and blue burger and was asked how I wanted it cooked; I said medium. When the meal was delivered the burger was served open-faced with the ciabatta bun top to the side...nice. But the bun was not toasted, the burger was rare and there was no lettuce, tomato or onion on the plate. The seasoning was decent but I expected a bit more heat from the cajun spices. There was absolutely no crunchy crust to the meat, and with it being under-cooked it made it the same soft texture as the bun...in other words: it sucked. For $10.99 I expect much better. The fries were not much better; also soft and limp. Next time I have the hankering for bad service and a lousy burger, I'll go to Wendy's and save half the money read more

So....went in with my son for lunch on Monday, 8/14. We were having such a good time, and I have to say the food is great, and our server, Riley who was new to serving, did a great job. But in our rush to make an appointment, my son left his driver's license inadvertently in the booth and I left my sweater. We called and were told by a waitress that they were too busy for her to check and see if our items were at the reception desk (where she answered the phone from) or to ask the customers in the booth if they had seen the items (we were one booth away from the front desk). I know her name but will not use it. This was at 1:30/2:00. We turned around and went back. Riley had taken the items and put them up at the reception area and saw us walk in and immediately met us and gave us the items. The waitress in question was also there and I stressed my dissatisfaction with her response. YES....we will definitely go back but I will not sit in her station as this is not the first time we have had a problem with her. My son is also a server at an extremely busy restaurant and stated this would never of happened with them as they have a policy regarding lost items and how to handle the situation, but he also told Riley to keep up the good work as he was doing a great job and left a good impression. read more
