Mountain flare Mexican food!! I love a good Mexican restaurant that has good flavor the right amount of a kick and chips and salsa, without having to pay for them!! Let me start with service. Sadly I did not catch our waiters name. He greeted us with a smile and got us seated quickly. We were there early at 4:30 because that's how my husband and I roll. He provided just the right amount of time for us to look over the drinks and food before requesting our order. The food was brought out promptly and nice and hot! He checked in with us as well to make sure everything was good. He was always pleasant and smiled every interaction. Drinks I ordered the Mezcarrita. The drink was on point in every way!! Not too sweet but not bland either. It had the right amount of alcohol that I could taste it but it didn't over power the flavor. We also enjoyed a couple of dessert shots of their house made tequila and that stuff was a little too good!! Food Chips and salsa were good and fresh. They provide a fire roasted salsa and what I'm guessing is an avocado salsa. I had the carnitas burrito that came with guacamole, rice and beans. Excellent flavors on all of the items on my plate. Husband had cielo mar y tierra fajitas. Those also came with rice and beans with choice of corn or flour tortillas. He said all of his was fresh tasting and had great flavor. For both of us the spice level could have been a touch more but it was well balanced and appropriate for all sorts of people to enjoy. Portion size allowed us to bring home a second meals worth of food. Atmosphere The place was clean and the seat covers seemed newer without cracks or worn marks on the fabric. It has mountain flair decor with different taxidermy and old west decorations. Very inviting! Over all we will be regulars!! Escaping the Denver heat this weekend, we found ourselves in need of lunch following a hike up Mount Bailey. We had heard from others that this new place was worth a try, so we did! We had our pup, so needed takeout. I called to confirm this was an option, placed our order, and was told it would be about 15min. They asked for my name, which I gave but I also stated my husband would be picking it up and gave his name as well. When he got there, there was a bit of confusion, but he was out of there in a reasonable time. They were quite friendly on the phone and he said that was true in person as well. I got the pollo asada salad - chock full of mushrooms and tender chicken! Not a ton of lettuce, which was OK. Pico, sour cream, and peppery guac on the side. The bowl was light and crispy perfection!... aside from the super soggy bottom. Quite a satisfying meal! My hubby got the fish tacos, which he thoroughly enjoyed. He didn't need dinner later on, either! It was... four? large tacos. Add in the beans and rice - enough for 2 meals at least! Hold up.... who knew some of the best Mexican food and service is in Bailey Colorado?!?! Four of us were road tripping from Buena Vista on a cold snowy Saturday so we stopped in for lunch and wow...the food was amazing! The chicken tortilla soup was unbelievably delicious. Lots of roasted shredded chicken, a perfect broth and rice. So hearty. The servings here are huge. You really get two meals. We got the comically large margarita and could not finish it. But the kicker was the service! The young smiling man who immediately seated us, the bartender who checked in multiple times on our drinks but finally, Nikki our server took excellent care of us and could not have been more friendly and helpful. She was smiling, warm, and made our day. She is a delight! We will be back! Highly recommend. read more

Unfortunately food poisoning from this place is common. ALSO VERY LOW QUALITY FOOD SERVED. Not a recommend establishment for food. Health risk is a factor. Past mother's day multiple folks were posting on next door of food poisoning issues. Would like this place checked by a health inspector for sure. I started going to Casa Sanchez not too long after opening in Bailey a year ago or more. I've been working my way through the menu trying different things but haven't had a repeat but Tuesday Tacos. I've only done that twice. I'm not disappointed. Last week I tried the "Adult" hamburger out of the normal. It was delicious. My family and I wanted to celebrate Mother's Day in Bailey. We usually go to Cut throat cafe but We were feeling pretty indecisive but decided to check out the new restaurant that took over the previous spot at this location. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with chips and two different salsas--off to a great start. We each ordered a dish, not sure what to expect, but we ended up with three massive plates loaded with delicious food. One of us had the huevos rancheros, another had the carne asada quesadillas, and I went with the carne asada burrito. Every plate was incredibly generous--we were honestly shocked by how much food we got. All three of us needed boxes to take leftovers home because the portions were huge and everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. It wasn't busy when we went, which was nice, but I have a feeling that won't last long once word gets out. I didn't get a chance to ask if their patio is dog-friendly, which would be awesome. I hope it is because I'd love to bring my dog next time. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. They even have a "Challenger Burrito"--if you finish it, it's free. After seeing the size of my regular burrito which was priced super well, I can't even imagine how big the challenge must be! read more

They didn't change much of the decor from the BBQ restaurant that was previously located in this location Our party of 4 all concurred that the meals were mediocre to fair at best. The flavor of the food was okay but enchiladas were so cold they couldn't be eaten At least they weren't icy cold. My server didn't do a thing when I told him the food was not near prepared correctly. Fortunately, I have several favorite excellent Mexican restaurants in Lakewood and Denver so I'll simply wait for the times I travel down the mountains to enjoy freshly prepared Mexican food. In defense, most restaurants up in this area of the mountains are challenged with so many hurdles., Since moving up here, I have found it so much more rewarding, delicious and definitely affordable to prepare my own meals. read more

What a wonderful experience! Amazing food! Incredibly hospitable staff and great mountain environment! Ricardo and all the team were so great! I had the Fajitas Copper and it was amazing! We also had the Colorado burrito that was great, the Fajita taco salad, veggie burrito and supreme burrito and finished off with churros and sopapillas that were gone in a second! Well I was super disappointed that we weren't going to make it the BV Casa Sanchez. BV is such a vibe - atmosphere, service, the drinks and the food. So when we found we weren't going to make it before they closed, we found that there was one in Bailey. I was skeptical. How could it live up to my beloved BV Casa Sanchez. Well it hit. We walked through the lobby, and could smell something strange. By the time we sat down, it was evident that there was a sewage problem. Totally smelled like sewage in the restaurant. Totally disgusting! When we aborted, and went down the street, the locals told us everyone knows there is a sewage problem here. Wife was literally gagging. Stay away! My fiance and I came in last night after our dinner plans with friends were cancelled. We were blown away to find that our town has such a great Mexican restaurant. We ordered food to go, and sat at the bar to have a beer while they prepared our order. Both salsas that came with the chips were fantastic, it was really refreshing to get some variety aside from the typical red salsa you get elsewhere. The food we ordered came out quick and was all great! I can't believe how much food you get for the price! This place is truly a gem and I hope that they continue to thrive and deliver the same wonderful experience that we had last night. We'll definitely be back! read more

Well, it wasn't great. I thought the two basic tenants of Mexican food were disrespected: The Salsa and The Margarita. I am disappointed that their fish tacos are deep fried. The shrimp tacos were "meh" with the uninspiring salsa. We went months ago and will give it another try because we are local. But we are not in a hurry. I hope they step up their game because our little town needs more options. read more

Yum! My husband and I rarely go out to eat and when we do he can be kind of picky but we had heard so many good things about the new Casa Sanchez from friends and neighbors we had to give it a try. I am so glad we did. Service was fast and friendly and the food was so good! The two salsas they bring out to start are both fantastic and seem to be made in house. My husband had the deluxe chicken burrito and he loved it. It was huge!! He is having the other half of it tonight for dinner with no complaints. I got the shrimp tacos and they were outstanding. They came out very hot and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. They seemed to be cooked it one of the salsas that they brought out with the chips which was great!! The atmosphere is very nice, definitely not a "hole in the wall" but a very nicely decorated restaurant to have a nice dinner. The prices were very reasonable. Hopefully with such a fantastic restaurant so close I can convince hubby to eat out more often. A must try for all the Bailey and surrounding area folks. SO glad to have you in the area! read more
