The store is clean and pretty well organized and stocked. Check out was weird though. The design of the aisles is a bit confusing and getting done with the transaction took longer than it should have. Bathrooms needed some attention but parking was easy. read more

Brookshire Brothers won me over during the pandemic. Other larger stores lost their vision of Serving the customer . They fell short of supply a need and instead leaned into the personal perspectives of upper management, evidenced by trickle access & mask mandates to enter their store. Not Brookshire Brothers! Throughout the shutdown, they continued to meet the needs of their communities. Period. I began shopping with them in 2020 and to this day they are my store of choice. Everything I need and want can be found in this moderately/ appropriately sized grocery store. Additionally, I full on respect that the brand supports our rural communities. 100% recommend. read more

I have been coming to Brookshire brothers for about three years. My son attends a therapy office right in the same plaza as Brookshire Brothers; therefore, I always stop by to buy items. I was truly grateful for the store when COVID-19 hit since that was the only place that would have disinfected wipes and cleaning supplies as well as toilet paper. Yes, the prices are more than Walmart and H‑E‑B, but I love the friendly service and can always go in and get out very quickly. read more

The grocery store is neat and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful and they have things available that I can't find anywhere in Temple. The only thing lacking that I saw was their seafood and butcher counter- it was very sparse. Still would recommend! read more

ONLY game in town and they know it. Pricing is ridiculously high. Employees are always on their phones. I witnessed five employees with their phones out texting right in front of customers. A grocery store in Salado, TX. It seems to be the only game in town, hence some higher pricing. But does have all the essentials: Snacks Beer Produce Health and beauty products Hot food Sodas. We purchased a little of everything. After all, we did have a refrigerator and microwave in our La Quinta room. I liken this store to a slightly older version of HEB. All the employees we interacted with were friendly. If you need stuff when in the area, go there. read more

This is a small town grocery store that most times does not have what I'm looking for and I have to drive 18 miles to H‑E‑B to buy the item. Their prices for food and gas are always higher than H‑E‑B. I've found that the price difference makes it worth the 18 mile drive. Very frustrating as I would prefer to shop locally. read more

Even though it's a smaller grocery store, it's got things that some of the larger stores don't have. It's convenient and the employees are always friendly. It's my go to when I need just a few things as the prices are a little higher than the large chain grocery in the area, but it's worth it not to have to drive. read more

We're a small village, and we're lucky to have a grocery store like Brookshire! The store is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the selection is quite good. It is true that the produce and meat sections are smaller than you would find in stores in cities, but what's there is top quality. They have a nice wine area, a good deli, bakery and pharmacy, and just about anything for daily needs. I've often found interesting items not found in (let's face it, the standard for great groceries) HEB. If you come here looking for a giant chain store, you'll possibly be disappointed, but take the time to appreciate the quality and effort to provide you do find here. I'm happy that I can stop in and shop local - without having to drive 15-30 minutes to a large chain grocery. read more

Convenient grocery store. It is missing a bunch of stuff, so I have to go to another store about once a week, but it will have most food items that one might want. It does not carry Fuji apples though, and this perturbs me. Also, no alcohol. They also don't carry a number of the non food goods that I have come to expect from the larger grocery stores. In terms of groceries, for the size of the store it has a decent variety of products as one can find most anything you need. Produce section seems to be the weakest link both in selection and quality. Prices are high so typically do the majority of my shopping in Belton or Temple. But, it's good for picking up a few items on the fly here and there. Have been disappointed in the pharmacy as it seems to lack an attitude of good customer service. These folks apparently do not change out their deli items at all throughout the day. I ordered three pieces of chicken (2 wings and a thigh) which were hard as a rock and stale. The deli sides were even worse. The mashed potatoes had a crust on the top. The 3 pieces of chicken cost $6.50, so it was the worst deli chicken ever coupled with being the most expensive. The potatoes were priced separately, $1.69 for that treat. These previous reviews that rave about the deli and especially the chicken are 6 years old. Whoever cooked that chicken has left this place long ago. Also, the grocery items really seemed overpriced, much like grocery shopping in a convenience store. read more

I live 15 miles from Brookshires, but am fed up with the 'Monopolized Biggies' in my area, who have gradually carried more of their own brand while decreasing the variety available. I drive to Salado to shop now, they double coupons, have a great meat section, with quality meats, and I find my favorite items (which many of them are no longer carried by the 'Big boys'). I am glad they are nearby, and love the small-town feel I get there, along with great service. read more

Brand New Store, December 2009! Unbelievable for a small town. The best store along the I 35 corridor north of Round Rock to Fort Worth! Great Fresh produce, organic foods, homemade breads, a variety of fresh seafood, great selections and all of this in a medium size grocery store! New Brookshire Brothers store opened last December 2009 and it's the nicest grocery store in Bell County. Check out the full service bakery, deli, fish counter, the beautiful produce and the large wine and beer selection. Now they have 101% of what you want. (including Fuji apples) read more

Very bad experience on customer service!!! You might want to consider training your new employees on it, apparently they don't have any common sense on how to treat a customer! I ordered from the deli and from the very beginning the girl was rude on taking my order , she did not even know on how to work the register and after I spoke to a manager, she thought I was upset over the pager not working properly!!
