Saw this place opened recently, and as I am a huge fan of small 'mom and pop' restaurants decided to try them out. Walking in I knew it was going to be problematic. The menu for a place this small is GIANT and the kitchen is tiny. Usually means that 90% of everything is frozen or completed to a 'get it done' quality instead of putting out a superior product at a reasonable price. We sampled a lot of things. Burger - my kid said was sweet...which I found off, but it was in fact 'sweet' in taste. Katsu burger - no real katsu sauce to speak of, bun was good. Veg seemed a bit off. Maybe swap with a cabbage slaw w/ some acidity to it instead. Chicken strip- good...but Dairy queen has better (not a compliment to Dairy queen) Mozzarella sticks - from frozen Fries/curley fries - fine, but the box they use steams them during transport to our house less than 5 minutes away. Decent location. Great design inside of the store, friendly staff...has a ton of potential. I want this place to succeed, but some changes need to be made in my opinion. read more

We have ordered take out from Bros Burger twice in the past, and the food has been great. So today we decided to eat in at the very nice bistro location in Puyallup/South Hill. It was just as we hoped, and I am very happy to say that the food is even better than our take out was. The small (ish) location is neat, clean and comfortable. We both had the California Burger (our favorite!) with seasoned fries. The burger was flavorful and looked like it was hand pressed, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The staff is very sweet and friendly, and I have never been there when the owner isn't. Very good food and great atmosphere for a quick and yummy weekend lunch stop in or take out. Found this place via Yelp and tried it out tonight. Ordered cheeseburger with fries and mushroom cheesesteak with onion rings. Cheeseburger comes with a thick patty and normal toppings. Wish the buns were thicker. The cheesesteak was delicious and enjoyed the onion rings as they were not the minced kind you get from other burger places. Fries with that sauce was also great. Restaurant was clean with nice decor. Staff was friendly and I believe it may have been the owner or manager that passed by our table and apologized for the small wait which we didn't mind. Based on the enthusiastic review made by Capriella my family and I tried this place tonight. When you first walk through the door you're hit by the yummy smell of flame broiled burgers and bacon. Then, when you look to the right (where their beverage machine is) you're greeted with a very large sign that shows all their sandwiches and the condiments and sauces that top them. Making it even easier to decide what looks good!! While the establishment is bright, open and clean I do feel someone could keep a better eye on the dining area to ensure tables are wiped down between customers. The staff is super friendly, interactive and attentive. Once you place your order at their counter you're able to seat yourself and they bring the food to you. Giving the sense of fast food with an indoor dining vibe. I ordered the BBQ Burger. While it could have used a little more BBQ sauce the onion ring and bacon were perfectly crunchy. The right amount of french fries came on the side however, I was not a huge fan of the batter (or cooking oil) used on them. It seemed to leave a weird after taste / film in my mouth. Like most reviews on here, the place was clean, take pride in making the burgers pretty and good fresh ingredients, but lacked seasoning. If they threw some salt on the burgers and fries it would be a good go to spot. The staff seemed to be very loudly in conversation and cussing though. Wish the menu on the board had ingredients list but it was on the paper one at the front of the register. Also wish they upgraded the lettuce from typical burger big leaf. Maybe sliced lettuce. I live in the area and so when I noticed the new business (in place of the old Quiznos), of course I had to support local businesses and try it out! I was not disappointed! Being the first time in here, I wanted to try something that was unique to the business, so I tried the B8 aka the Bros Burger with fries. This monster of a burger came with an over easy egg, ham, bacon, a patty, onion, tomato, pickles, lettuce, and a house sauce on a fluffy bun. First bite I was blown away. There are some improvements that could be made to the menu, like displaying what ingredients each burger contains, but I'm confident those tweaks will come in time. Found this place as I was leaving Fred Meyers. I got the kids cheeseburger combo which comes with fries. Overall the burger was good. The fries were by far my favorite. They were so crispy and crunchy. Their house sauce was okay in my opinion. I felt as if the pickle flavor was a bit too overwhelming but then again I am not a fan of pickles. My wife and I tried Bros burger today. It was a pleasant surprise. I have seen the signs and waited for it to be open, After seeing "coming soon". Today was the day we tried it. I am definitely a burger connoisseur. In the last few weeks I have been to both red Robin and the Ram. I can say that the burger I had today at Bros was better, and better priced. I ordered the Hawaiian burger. It was perfectly constructed with a gourmet bun, flavorful leafy lettuce and a flame broiled patty along with teriyaki sauce and grilled pineapple slice. Each burger comes with a small side of fries that don't overwhelm you. The burger is the centerpiece and I was plenty full at the end. My wife enjoyed her burger as well and we couldn't help but think of who we were going to invite the next time we visit. I have traveled to many big cities around the country and can honestly say that this restaurant has studied the proper way to make a burger. It's not a In-N-Out Burger, it's not a five guys burger, it's a Bros burger with its own characteristics. We have gone a few times to this location and keep coming back for a reason. Mostly everything that has been ordered thus far has come out delicious, fresh and great portions. We got a chance to meet the owner who was very kind and loved any feedback. I was disappointed to hear that he mentioned a few customers complained of the wait times but he reminded us that they are fresh to order versus premade. I can appreciate his honesty that there is at times a wait and he is trying to catch on to the flow of which times are busier than others. Onion rings were huge and fried perfectly, didn't fall apart. Burger was so big I had to save it for a later time and could not finish it in one sitting. I do recommend that they update their menu to show what each burger contains (ie, lettuce, pickles etc). If you are in the mood for a burger come here, if you are in the mood for a quick burger go elsewhere. They do offer call ahead which can minimize your wait time.
