Right off the bat, this was my second attempt at supper tonight. The first was a fail as they were shackled to a kiosk system and couldn't get my order sorted out. I walked in this small out of the way place and the man behind the counter was well versed and able to prep my order with zero hesitation.. The meal was delicious and prepared exactly as I asked. I look for quality, good flavor, portion to money spent ratio, and customer service! Quality Ingredients 5 of 5 Flavor - Bite in to a soft bun, threw creamy cheese, in to salty pickle, a sweetness of tomatoes! Eating a hamburger should always be an experience!! It did not disappoint my palate! Portions to Cost - actually have paid way more for a lot less. This was spot on cost, spot on portions! Customer service - friendly. This is my second time here. The place looks really nice and clean, a step up from last time. The service was great, the front counter person was pleasant, the cook was working hard, and the food came out pretty fast. We did not like the teriyaki burger (it's chicken). It is a nice looking chicken breast, but it is just......very rubbery. We did not like the chicken tenders. They are thin pressed chicken, not very good at all. The fries that came with the tenders were good, plentiful, and the dipping sauce was excellent, though. All in all, I am not 100% sure I will eat here again, but if I do, I will try something else. read more

Just noticed they opened back up and super excited. Always enjoyed the food there. Very friendly staff. Place got a face lift which is good. My only compliant is that the fries were definitely cooked in the same oil as fish has been cooked in. Having restaurant experience that's pretty much a no no. And I wasn't interested in eating fries that tasted fishy so decided to throw those out. But the cheesesteak was good! This place used to be great, but the last couple of times they have fallen under the bar. Today my boyfriend ordered a corn dog, and bit into a frozen center...FROZEN. It was like they dipped it in the fryer and called it good. it wasn't worth bringing back, since it was only $2. But it's safe to say I won't be buying from here again. read more

The Good- Man, this place has really good food, burgers, chicken, fries, you name it. All for really good prices, even with the pandemic, this place hasn't raised their prices. Fast and friendly service. The Bad- Parking is a pain when it is busy. Would love to see other side opened up where boats and rv's and sports cars have been but not sure if that is their land. Be careful pulling in/out. The Ugly- I've seen the workers come out and sit at a table off to the side and eat and watch TV and go back in and not wash their hands or put on gloves before preparing food. In the neighborhood today I was excited to stop in. It is still a good deal, in comparison to other similar places or fast food for sure. I got the bacon cheeseburger; not big enough for the bun, only one small slice of tomato, but well cooked and great sauce. $4.49 is the current price, looks like they upped it from $3.99 lately. I'm okay with paying that for a local business now, I just wish there were little details like leaf lettuce. Thrilled to see a pineapple shake, it was light on the pineapple, otherwise good quality and well blended, shockingly small (but I would have regretted it if it were larger). read more

This place makes fabulous cheesesteak sandwiches. They are absolutely great, bread is perfect, they are huge with the right ratio of garnishes to beef. My husband particularly remarked that he liked the way the green pepper is very thinly sliced, I agree. He had the basic philly which has green peppers, onions, mayo and cheese. I had the "combo philly" with everything (cheese, mayo, peppers, onions, mushrooms and jalapenos). Both were fantastic. The cheese is a swiss-flavor american processed cheese, not cheez-wiz, but I liked it. Also the fries were very crispy and fresh. This is not a minor point, as I have been served limp, cool fries at many places which should know better. These were perfect, and nicely salty. It's clearly a family-owned place, as mom, dad and the kids were all there working. It's clean inside but there's no ambiance (other than the Korean language movie that was playing on the big tv, that was sort of fun to watch actually). I'd say it's more geared as a take-out place. Great to have in the area, I'll be back, probably more often than I should be since philly cheesesteak is not exactly diet food, haha. read more

This place is a complete hole in the wall. One of the worst I've been been to. But I will say the cheese steak sandwiches are Phenomenal! I got the combo cheese steak with mushrooms and hot peppers and my wife got the regular cheese steak. Both super delicious, but I love hot food so mine was better. The fry sauce is pretty damn good too. These sandwiches are excellent any time, but going to be even better on those cold days. Don't let the looks fool you. My favorite burger spot in Tacoma. I grew up hanging out in Oakland Park and All Star is a neighborhood favorite. Simply put, they make perfect burgers. The best part about it is the price. I order a #4 meal which is like a double cheeseburger, fries and drink. Where else can you still get a full meal for less than $5??? And they're good sized and delicious. They also have a wide selection of items on their menu from Philly Cheesesteak to Asian food. A lot of choices for sides too. The burger is not bad, better than a fast food place like McDonalds or Burger King, but it doesn't blow minds. It's not bad for the price though! The french fries were amazing. I'm crazy about french fries and these surpassed my expectations. I'm taking off a star because of the place itself. It's a family owned restaurant and it looks like they keep their whole family there. They had a toddler on a tricycle and the TV was in Korean. The place is a bit unsightly. There's not that much parking, but it wasn't a problem for us when we went.The parking space is a bit small and annoying to get into and out of though. The people there seemed nice though! I'm back. In today's world their classic is a super fair deal. While it lacks cheese, it does include all the veggies, including tomato. $1.75 In an an earlier review I said it was flame broiled but it's not. Which is okay. It's a large burger, like whopper sized, or what whopper used to be with all veggies ata a super good value. It's probably Costco patties but it's big and worth the money. Good luck finding a chain burger with all the veggies that are this big for this price. You won't. Add cheese for a $1.99 burger. Still not the cleanest place. They should work on that. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I just went to try it out for the the first time. I order a mushroom Swiss burger & say I'm allergic to onions. She says yea yea ok. Then I watch her put a handful of onions on the grill and place my burger RIGHT NEXT TO THEM. Literally see the juices from the onions and burger mixing & making my burger inedible for myself. I ask if it's my burger she says yea but it's not touching the onions. I explain the juices from the onions can literally KILL ME. I then ask for a refund & she starts arguing with me. If I already told you I'm ALLERGIC TO ONIONS & you still continue to cross contaminate my food with onions, why would I still want my food???? I came in for a burger not a death sentence. Smh.
