Juicy burgers, filling fries, sweet staff. Super fun place to bring your kids. They are cooking out of a truck type of culinary establishment. But they hold a lot of seats inside their storefront right next door. We were able to enjoy cold crisp air conditioning and a clean place to sit while eating. Our fries were flavorful and crispy. The cheeseburgers were incredibly delicious/seasoned savory. It was the perfect place to stop by while shopping for toys and comic books, thrifting for clothes, and eating ice cream. The manager is such a great guy, who loves the city and his community. He goes out of his way to making sure customers are enjoying what they order. We will be back! read more

Delicious and affordable. Here's the thing nobody told me - like any Tacoman I grew up on Frisko Freeze but I went there recently and it's no secret they aren't like they used to be. Guess what? Bomb Burger IS what I remember Frisco tasting like back in the day. Maybe slightly less greasy and messy, but that's a good thing in my book. Four stars because all I've had is the one burger, next time I'll try more stuff and update. read more

Reposting because my first review got removed for the wrong location, but this was the correct food truck. There was confusion about the red sauce on my burger. The owner said they don't use ketchup but didn't explain what it was. I later found out it was the hickory sauce on the Smoke Burger. The sauce just wasn't for me. It soaked the bread, made it soggy, and ruined the burger. I also wish the response had been more helpful or at least tried to make it right. On the positive side, the service was great. The staff were friendly and the outdoor seating was comfortable and relaxing. The fries were really good too, hot and crispy. Their burgers are good but they should take the sign that says "Always fresh, never frozen". When I was ordering my burger, I saw the guy put away a box of frozen hamburger patties. Just be honest with your products, you cook up a good burger. No need for false advertisement. read more

Since the pandemic the quality of restaurants, including fast food, has deteriorated significantly. So much so that I no longer enjoyed even iconic local hamburgers. I just stop eating them. My son recommended Bomb Burger saying it is the best in town. Wow, was he right. I had the Bomb Burger with cheese and bacon, onion rings, and a Dr Pepper. Then I went back up and got a chocolate peanut butter shake. Everything was great. Freshly made on the flat top and still hot. It is a food truck however they have inside and outside seating. I've tried the chocolate, pineapple and oreo shake and they were all delicious but the pineapple is unique and refreshing and probably my favorite. The onion rings and huge and fries are great too. This food truck is parked across the street from the comic and video game store. It is owned and operated by the same people as It's Greek To Me (we tried this a few weeks ago, very good). The taste of this place is exactly what you get somewhere like Burger King. It's okay, but certainly not great. We had the smoke burger and the bomb burger with onion rings and fries with a peanut butter chocolate milkshake. Went there on a whim recently as I happened to see it while driving by. It was okay. Nothing really special about it. Grocery store style buns and barely seasoned meat. I was expecting them to be friendlier, as food trucks are pretty personal spaces in which the owners take pride. I was the only one there and it felt as if I was an inconvenience to them. It reminds me of a blend between Frisko Freeze and the Go Philly smash burger: juicy, saucy, messy, flavorful yet simple. The fries were crispy, but not seasoned. The fry sauce tasted like a blend between ranch and an Italian dressing. Overall, I'd return for a burger and would try the onion rings instead of fries. Also the fries were incredible, not too dry, not too greasy or floppy- not sure what everyone else in these reviews are complaining about... they had to be smoking crack because these burgers (and fries) were way better than frisko freeze! Scrumptious food and very generous portions for the sides of fries and onion rings. Burgers were delicious and juicy and cooked well. Service was fast and efficient. They bombed alright and not in a good way. I was disappointedly unimpressed with the good from this truck. I should have guessed by the lettering on the truck that reads, Powered by Its Greek to Me. First off, the truck and it's window are so high off the ground that you literally have to use their step ladder to order your food and pay. The menu is simple and I'm in search of a good place to get good burgers so I stopped by and ordered. Simple double burger and a side of fries. I don't understand the trend but much like other places, they serve your burger to you inside of a bag in another bag. This ensures that you will make a big mess of it all before you'll ever even take your first bite. Overall, burgers pretty much have the same elements but some really stand out more than others do. Maybe it's the type of bun, maybe its a unique sauce but whatever it is Bomb Burger had nothing really helping it stand out. The patties are small and thin and everything tastes correct but I'd place it somewhere above McDonald's but well below Dick's. With so many small boutique burger joints popping up, they have a lot of competition. The fries were a large portion that I couldn't finish so at least I wasn't left hungry after my meal. Normally I don't order fries because I don't like to pay extra money for fillers and to me that's all fries are but for a first try, I like to get them for the test. Nothing fancy or special but nothing bad to say about them either. The two guys in the truck are nice and treat customers well but now that I've been there, done that, I think I'll keep moving on. This spot is pure Tacoma. Ive had bomb burger numerous times and have had a great experience on every visit. The burgers are delicious, the fries are crispy and plentiful, and the price is something to jump at. I see other people being displeased with The environment, mostly of the indoor seating. While yes that option is currently a bit grungy. It's clearly an outstanding truck getting its footing in the expansion that It deserves. Solid food truck on 6th Avenue serving up Bomb burgers. Overall simplistic approach with their menu and love it. Had both with cheese and one with bacon. The burger to topping ratio was a bit off and could use more burger from it. Next time I'll go with the double with cheese. The bun sauce is tasty and the choice of veggies top it off. Perfect amount on the sandwich. No complaints overall. The fries were great but I love my sodium and probably could have used a shake or two of salt over them.
