What's great little beachy place. We spotted this place on our drive down tot he shore. Ample…read moreparking and outdoor seating. And service was fairly quick. Big portions of the ice cream for a modest price. As for the ice cream itself, it was a little hit or miss with our family. We loved most of the flavors (particularly the salted caramel) but the mint chip was a little toothpastey taste. I'd skip that the next go around. But otherwise, friendly people and a nice way to spend a summer evening

"I went down to the crossroads Tried to flag a ride…read moreNobody seemed to know me Everybody passed me by" (Eric Clapton) If you're heading from the Hartford area on a trip to the shopping outlets in Clinton, the odds are quite good that your GPS will take you south on Higganum Road or Route 81. Eventually, you'll hit a crossroads and traffic circle where 81 meets Deep River Road or Route 80. Congratulations, because that crossroads is also the location of Crossroads, a very cool ice cream shop. We made our first ever visit to Crossroads today (they've only been open for a year and a half) and were very impressed with the friendly service, great ice cream, and outdoor seating overlooking the water. My Kiddie sized sea salt caramel dish was excellent and very reasonably priced at just $3.75. Bonus points for their generous amount of chocolate sprinkles! My wife had a dish of peanut butter brownie, and of course I sampled it. If you like peanut butter ice cream, as I occasionally do, you've probably been disappointed once in a while because the peanut butter flavor was kind of timid. But not at Crossroads! Their peanut butter flavor came blasting through loud and clear. It was fantastic. Their outdoor seating area is quite nice with lots of Adirondack chairs, tables, fire pits, and a corn hole game. I enjoyed chatting with the young staff who gave me a few blank looks when I asked them if they knew Eric Clapton's song "Crossroads". *Pro Tip - Crossroads doesn't have a website, but you'll find them on FB and Insta

The deli and coffee house has a very antique, old-school vibe that fits nicely with the charm of the area. They offer coffee, sweet treats, and a variety of sandwiches, making it a convenient stop while exploring the town. We ordered the South West and Monte Cristo sandwiches. Both were nicely portioned--bulky sandwiches filled with roasted chicken, fresh tomatoes, and avocado. The food itself was decent and satisfying enough for lunch, but nothing particularly memorable. While we enjoyed the meal, the overall value felt a bit off, especially considering the price point of $38, which seemed high for what we received. That said, Simon's Marketplace works well as a quick and easy lunch spot, especially if you're already in the area and looking for something casual. It's fine, just not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. Overall rating: 3 out of 5.

It's a very cute spot with a charming store area filled with unique gifts, perfect for picking something up while you're there. More importantly, their food offerings really impressed us. They serve breakfast until 11:30 AM, along with a full lunch menu, coffee, and freshly baked goodies. Their baguettes are made in-house, and to my delight, they also offer gluten-free bread! The staff were very sweet and helpful! I had the gluten-free breakfast sandwich and it was perfectly made. It was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My dad went with the Southwestern sandwich and enjoyed it! It's definitely a welcoming stop with great food.
