They're always happy to help you find the perfect beer or seltzer, whether you know exactly what you want or just want to try something new. The selection is fantastic, with a great variety of beers and seltzers that truly offer something for everyone. Sours are my absolute favorite. Plus, I'm always excited for their rotating Tiki Time drinks during the summer! The food trucks are always delicious and add a fun, fresh element when onsite. The outdoor (and pet-friendly) patio is yet another highlight. It's clear they continue to invest in making the space even better each year. It's such a great spot to relax, hang out with friends, and enjoy a drink (or two). Riverlands is easily my favorite local spot. Highly recommend giving this place a try and hopefully it'll become your new favorite, too!

We stopped in to sample their beers. The favorite choices were the Dukes of Bavaria & Dean Street. I also tried the Painkiller seltzer and thoroughly enjoyed the flavor. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the space was converted to accommodate a non- music event (including sofas upfront - which I enjoyed thoroughly). Our server was kind and attentive before, during and after the show and her presence didn't distract from the show either. I was easily able to enjoy my beer while laughing through the sets. My friends were able to enjoy some beers and canned cocktails as well. We all were impressed with the combination of sold out event and service. I would recommend coming by here on any night - especially one with live entertainment.

Pollyanna is one of the top attractions in downtown St. Charles along the Fox River. Has the brewery as well as a patio that's nice when it's warm enough. They also have a distillery for those who are getting the hard stuff. Best thing about this place is of course the beer, but it also has a chill atmosphere. It's located in the middle of downtown in a plaza. There's a patio in front that will be packed in warm weather. For this particular trip we sat inside. The inside is actually pretty big, and has the bar area as well as an area with quite a few tables. It's about $7 a pint. There was a pretty good variety. I got the Sweater Paws. It's a blonde ale that's on the lighter side. This beer has notes of coffee and vanilla. As for the food, not much else besides $1 or so bags of chips but you can bring stuff in. Has Colleen's Breadsticks for $6 a bag which are local. There's several restaurants next to here that will deliver an order. Has a pretty fun atmosphere and most important has good beers to choose. It also has cans to go. The brewery also hosts some food trucks.

It doesn't look like a brewery would be there. Actually it is. They specialize in fruity ones and sours, so not beers that are hoppy obviously. Beers are typically hoppy to some point, but these aren't. It's for sure a type not many are used to having. These all have a lot of fruit, but what's unique is the fruit is added after the brewing process. Adds a lot of fruit flavor. These often have the consistency of a smoothie. It's about $8 a can. They brew in pretty small batches at Church Street Brewery in Itasca, and serve these at this taproom. Best we had the last time was the Bistro Pineapple Strawberry Habanero. This is a Berliner style weisse. Consistency was thick like a smoothie would be. This had a lot of fruit flavor, but it also had a tartness. For sure we could try some of these beers again. It's located on First Street. They're closed Mondays to Thursdays, pretty limited hours, so it's a place to go on weekends.

The taproom is a simple but comfortable set up with plenty of options for small and larger groups. When I went up to order, there were a couple of options that caught my eye. Energy City Brewing takes on a lot of Bistro/Coffee Shop flavors and transforms them into beers. Flavors like pineapple banana cream pie to grasshopper mint. Thankfully there were a couple of canned options available to sample. Their prices are comparable to other specialty pint prices. I'll definitely be back when in the area to try out another fresh option.

I met up with friends, including two who were visiting from Alabama, and we all had a great experience. My friends ordered the brisket nachos and the walleye, and both dishes came in generous portions--they couldn't even finish their meals! I ordered the carne asada tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The only thing I would have changed is that my meal came with beans but not rice. I probably should have asked if rice could be added. The indoor atmosphere was warm, inviting, and a perfect place to spend a rainy afternoon. Between the friendly service, generous portions, and tasty food, I'd definitely return and look forward to trying more of the menu.

We requested to be sat at the riverside window and it was absolutely no problem. The service was very quick and pleasant. We started with an order of cheese curds which were awesome (a little hot for my wife but perfect for me). We split a patty melt. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to patty melts, so when I say it was the best one I've had since Woolworth, that should tell you everything you need to know. My daughter got the kids grilled cheese. When I say grilled cheese, this was an absolutely beautiful sandwich that was put together with care. My daughter is very picky and wound up gobbling down this enormous sandwich, which surprised me because she eats like a bird. The beer there is top notch. I'm very opinionated when it comes to craft beer. Everything I've had there I have really enjoyed. I highly recommend this place. We had an app, kids meal, split an adult meal and 4 beers for $90. Well worth it because I have no issues paying for quality over quality. Do not miss this place.

It kind of is hard to know where to go because the door to the entrance isn't obvious. Go into the main entrance like you're going into the athletic center and it's to the left. They share a parking lot so if it looks like it's busy it's probably just people working out and training. Brewery is a nice place whether or not you're doing any athletics. It seems mostly quiet in here except they play interesting music. This seems to be more like a garage than a brewery, which is a cool thing. Has quite a few beers on tap even though it's a small place. We tried a few of these. I had the Don't Call It A Double. It's $6 a pint. This is a Belgian Dubbel, and it's considered medium strong. She had an Imperial IPA. We needed something to snack on so we got peanuts. It's $1 a bag. There's not really much food or anything else you can eat. Cool place to check out and get some fresh beers. Can't wait to try more of their styles. We didn't have time this trip. Had to run. What was amazing, too, was the burger guy set up inside. Wow. It was called Biker Dude Burgers. Omg. Seriously the best cheeseburger I've ever had. It literally melted in my mouth. There are only two choices on the menu. Double cheeseburger with pickles or double cheeseburger without pickles haha.
