One of LI's biggest crooks! 1. Their Uncle doesn't make them, cause he has passed, his son owns a company that makes pools for many retailers! 2. They are beyond over priced, I got the same pool(yes one made by the uncles son) from Pool Factory in Brooklyn for thousands less, with free delivery. If you refuse to go to Brooklyn at least haggle these guys down, don't go to Island Recreation, their pools are junk! read more

Where do I start? Brothers Three and especially CHRISTINE, our salesperson, is the simply the ONLY place to go for a pool on Long Island, PERIOD. Our old pool (from an independent, one location competitor a few towns west of Brothers Three) totally rusted out and burst after only five years. Fortunately this was in early December and no one was hurt. It should have lasted at least 15 years! We called Brothers Three just before Christmas when they were closed and left a message. Christine called us back almost immediately and even though they were closed. We communicated via email and phone until January when the store reopened. Christine was so responsive and professional we had decided on Brothers Three before we actually met. At the store, Christine was incredibly knowledgable and so friendly. We told her of our mishap and she showed us several viable options. We gave a deposit and Christine set us up with an amazing installer - Sparkle Pools. Shortly after, we changed our minds and decided to switch to a semi-inground with a wrap-around deck based on our browsing the photos on Brothers Three's outstanding website. We called Christine and she helped us redo the deal and gave us the company (Blue Star Carpentry - also amazing) who created the deck we saw on her website. Long story short, because of Christine and Brothers Three, we have a beautiful resort in our backyard. Yes they cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for as we learned from the competitor. We cannot recommend Brothers Three AND Christine enough. They are simply the best! read more

I waited a year before entering my post to make sure I capture the total experience from my initial purchase, installation and post experience with Brothers 3 to make sure they earn 5 stars. I researched many pool companies and you get Great Quality (super warranty) at a fair price with what you receive at Brothers 3. I was shocked when both Jen and Craig volunteered to come to my home and confirmed that both an inground and above pool would work for my backyard. They did not try to upsell me!!! I chose the inground pool and Sparkle did a great job with the installation. Sparkle noticed the ground water level was too high and came back twice before completing the dig which was the correct way to ensure a perfect job. Post sales follow up was superb!!! I asked numerous questions on multiple calls which Craig answered very thoroughly and always extremely courteous. read more

The only reason why I even posted anything about your company is because I kept seeing it as an advertisement pop up as like you and your company were looking for new customers. You said you find it sickening that someone should go out of their way to hurt your business ?? Well I find it sickening that you only now respond after I made my feedback posting about your irresponsibility to at least have the decency to call me back, at least call and say that you could not take on any new work, especially after I was told each and every time I called that I would definitely receive a return phone call. Horrible experience with the purchase of our pool. Really poor customer service From a younger woman who works there who doesn't care about customers and is extremely rude. We have bought our pool equipment there as well and have ultimately gotten what we needed but avoid speaking to the woman who works there if you want to be treated like your patronage is valued. We just purchased a above ground pool from Brothers 3. The sales guy was great helping us out. The installers met my wife at the house to install the pool and suggested a semi-in ground. The added a fee and my wife said ok. When I got home i saw the pool installed, with mounds of dirt left all around the pool. Come to find out that it will now be my job to move all the dirt away. Would have never allowed them to dig up my yard. Have to hire a electrician to run the power for filter which was never told to us. Then i will need to install the filter myself also. Irrigation lines where destroyed with out care. A-LOT OF INFORMATION WAS NEVER EXPLAINED TO US, WE THOUGHT THE POOL WOULD BE COMPLETE AFTER WE PURCHASED IT. I would have used a total different installer and company. Now i have a destroyed back yard and a useless pool. Thanks for making this decision to get a family pool horrendous. Will never recommend the installer company ever to anyone. They are like a craigslist ad. After searching online for complaints about the installers i have come across tons of people that have the same issue as i do. I hope these reviews protect other people from being screwed over. The pool purchase is just the beginning. Year in and year out they don't disappoint. Been 4 years now going to them for water tests, advice, AND trouble shooting when there are issues. They are honest and won't try to sell you chemicals just to make a buck. I've went there plenty of times for water tests and walked out not paying a dime. I have places much closer to my house but still drive to them. Ask for Dan. He's knowledgeable, accessible, and honest. read more

I'm surprised by some of the reviews from this company as well as Sparkle Pool Service. I have never had a problem with the choice we made, the installation or the products we have purchased. I will say that their staff is very professional and they are extremely knowledgeable as compared to other places we have gone (Island Recreational for instance). The only reason I gave four stars is because they are expensive. Pool supplies can be purchased for less money on Amazon if you know exactly what you need. Sparkle Pool Service has been wonderful. They are also very knowledgeable about what we need to keep the pool running smoothly and stay clean. I would recommend either company for your pool! read more

I most certainly WAS a customer. I was told I purchased a sharkline pool. And that the warranty on the top rails was not the same as a Brothers pool.I had to jump through hoops just to finally get the rails witch where the wrong ones and install myself and pickup myself or pay for both services. How is that good customer service. I felt like I was bothering you guys every time I called. If it's true what you say about the top rails being in warranty then I will certainly try AGAIN to get the right parts. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called a month and a half ago asking if someone could come to my home to quote us a price for a semi in ground pool. Was told someone would call be back within a week. Never received a call so I called back myself 2 weeks later. Again was told they were extremely busy, which was understandable due to COVID. Left another message for someone to return my call. No one returned my call. Messaged them finally on Instagram and someone said they would call me for sure tomorrow. I did receive a call by someone named Matt, he apologized and said they were super busy because of the virus but to make an appointment for the showroom and someone would discuss all details with us. I made an appointment for Friday at 12pm. When I got to the store, I waited outside for someone to help my husband and I. They asked who I had an appointment with and I told them Matt. The man Chris told me he was off today and that it had to be with someone else. He told me to wait while he called Matt. We waited for 20 minutes outside for someone else to come back and say that Danny would be helping us after he finished an email. A man came out and asked "whose next?" Since we thought we were waiting for Danny we didn't say anything. This man proceeded to help the next customer. My husband asked the man for his name and he said Danny. I said, "we were told you were helping us once you finished your email?" He said "oh yes let me just finish this customer." Wtf? At this point we were waiting 30minutes. Me and my husband just turned around and walked back to our car. Mind you, while we were waiting, a woman was complaining that a water fall for her pool that she's been waiting a while for still wasn't in, she was told 3-4 weeks and it's been 6 weeks and she still hasn't received anything. This place is a mess. I'm sure they do nice work based off photos but their customer service and organization skills are all over the place. You could of had a new customer but you guys threw us off completely!!!! read more

Be very careful going here. They all seem very nice and knowlegable but they really messed up my pool. After many visits and hundreds of dollars in chemicals my pool looked like milk. I had to dump my pool and start over causing me more expense and they don't have a clue, so don'tI go there. I now go to pool tech in Farmingdale. Very professional very good people. We purchased our pools around 3 years ago from Brothers 3 after meeting with one of their sales reps. The sales person was very helpful and answered all of the questions we had. We heard that they sold the best quality and would treat us properly. Rest assured our friend was right in sending us to them. No one elses pools really seemed to compare when we examined them. Most pools at places seemed like they were somewhat flimsy, but the one at Brothers was solidly built. Whenever I have a question I'm always able to ask a sales person there and they help me out with whatever My family loves the thing and we use it every chance we get. -John read more

We bought a pool almost 20 years ago from Brother's 3. You may pay a bit more but you definitely get what you pay for....a quality product that will last you a very long time. We just purchased our second pool from them not because our pool was too old but because the shape and size no longer suited our family. I thought I was buying a pool that would last more than two years. I am a very reasonable person and have owned my home for more than twenty years without one complaint. My son had his pool installed by Brothers 3 in the late spring after placing an order last fall. His pool is beautiful. His driveway looks like a war zone. The contractor Brothers 3 uses left a ton of broken cement in their driveway leaving the driveway partially unusable. The contractor promised to come back and never did. My son tells me repeated phone calls to Brothers 3 went unreturned and when returned offered lip service with no result. The cement continues to sit there unless he pays to hire someone to haul it away. read more

I've been shopping here since Island Rec burned down. They have everything you need at fair prices. Maybe the pools are expensive but the parts are priced OK. The staff is very helpful too. It is worth dealing with Hempstead tpke to get what you need. Island rec was the worst with their super slow 1980's cash registers, cheap hoses that crack, temporary staff, go outside the store around to the back and pickup the chlorine, etc... read more

My wife and I talked about getting a semi-in ground pool and did our research into reliable installers and maintenance companies. We decided on Brothers 3, who have an A+ BBB rating. We spent nearly two hours with our salesman, Chris P., who was extremely patient with us, courteous and knowledgeable. We picked a 12x24 oval with a 300k btu gas heater and an upgraded stairs. He was very careful to explain the pricing for each of the sub-projects like excavation, plumbing, tile and pavers, etc. We signed a contract and their bank approved our credit application for the 60 month interest free promotion. When we got home and thought about it further, we changed our minds because our family situation changed. I was prepared for a major fight to get back our deposit. We drove back the following morning, expecting a run-a-round and all sorts of excuses why we couldn't get our deposit of $1100 and we'd be forced to pay a 15% restocking fee and so many other typical reasons some retailers we've done business with use to keep the sale. To our great surprise, none of those things happened. We were asked why we changed our minds and explained on reflection, a pool really wasn't for us. The whole process took less than ten minutes. Now I feel guilty about canceling the sale. If BBB ever bestows an A++ rating, Brothers 3 should be the first to get it. read more

They sell a good product, but the problem as I see it is that they don't have any skin in the game for rest of the process, as all other aspects are "outsourced" to third parties (excavation, installation, electrical work, etc.). So you have to be prepared to play the role of project manager and juggle the timing and alignment of all the pieces to make the project come together. If I had known what a pain in the butt this would be, I would have taken the money and gone to Hawaii for a nice vacation instead. read more
