Tien is great! Please overlook that his english is a little poor and he is difficult to understand on the phone. If you can get over that, he does great work. I think what everyone wants is honesty. Tien diagnosed our dishwasher problem and told us frankly that though he could do a major repair (which is what was needed), it would be better for us to just purchase a new dishwasher. I absolutely recommend Brothers Appliance Repair. My refrigerator and freezer were suddenly not keeping things cold enough. (I poured lumpy milk in my coffee - yuck!). Tien was able to come by on Friday evening in less than an hour from when I called. He diagnosed the problem immediately and then had to track down a part for my old fridge. He found the part and fixed everything for a fair price. He also explained how to keep good circulation in the fridge and showed me how to do a small amount of cleaning on a yearly basis to keep it running smoothly. I have three teenage sons and do a ton of laundry. My Electrolux washer stopped working and I discovered that fact late Saturday night, after arriving home from taking one of my sons to his college orientation. Needless to say, I was a bit panicked. I looked on Yelp, saw that Brothers advertised that they worked on Sundays and provided same day service. I was a bit skeptical but I called them first thing Sunday morning. Tien Nguyen, senior technician, called me back within 5 minutes and gave me a 2 hour window when he would show up at my house to try and repair the washer. Tien showed up on time ( early); diagnosed the problem in 15 minutes; and then fixed the washer in 10 minutes. He also did a quick service of my dryer -- all for well under $200. Brothers Appliance was incredibly responsive, coming out the same day that I called with leaking issues in both my LG washing machine and KitchenAid Refrigerator. He quickly diagnosed issues in both, called the next day to confirm parts were on the way, and showed up again, on time the next day for repairs. Tien really knows his stuff, and takes time to explain in great detail about the repair and how to maintain the appliance to minimize future failure. His English may be a little difficult to understand, but I would choose him and Brothers over all past repair people that we've used over a 30 year period. read more

I called several other appliance repair shops to work on my Fridgidaire side by side refrigerator. None of them had urgent service available...the best they could do was a week ahead (by which time all my food would have long been spoiled). Brothers was there the next day and fixed the problem on the first try. I called at 2:30 in the afternoon, and the problem was fixed by 11:00 AM the next day. They called to give a 2 hour window (11am-1pm), called when on their way to our house (10am), called for model info and error codes (which led them to bring the needed part). Great communicators. Andrew was a professional and gave me an estimate before starting the work. He advised that if the part he replaced did not solve the problem, the labor on the next house call would be free. They came and fixed my Daewoo washer which no other company was willing to do (because of the brand). The price was reasonable for the time. It's been about a month since the repair and everything works great. Only problem was scheduling. The service person said one time, but apparently the scheduling people had him assigned to come at a different time. Schedule changes are difficult for those of us who take time off work to be at home to meet repair people. read more

Tien came out to fix my fridge the day I called for repair. Everybody else was weeks out. I know nothing about appliances so I was really at his mercy. He changed a part and the charge was very reasonable. However, the next day the fridge still wasn't working. I called him and he changed his schedule to come out the next day. I thought it was going to be bad news and I was going to have to pay a lot more. But he took the fridge apart again and saw that it was just that the fan was frozen. He fixed it, put the fridge back together and didn't charge me a dime. It's true he's difficult to understand but very sweet and polite and worth the effort of communication. This place is great! I called them on a Friday and they were available that day to come out (I wasn't) so they came on Saturday. Tien called me twice to let me know he was running late, which I greatly appreciated. Within 2 minutes of looking at my dryer he was able to correctly diagnose the issue. Took him about an hour to fix. He vacuumed up the mess and wore booties to cover his shoes. Very professional and gave us tips on how to prolong the life of our washer and dryer. I placed a call at 8am this morning as my ice maker in my older refrigerator stopped working and was making funny sounds. Although Tien, the Senior Technician is a bit difficult to understand, he was extremely polite, and willing to come out at 3pm this afternoon. He called at 2:30 to say he was ontime, and arrived right at 3pm. He was polite, kind, and got right to diagnosing the problem. We discussed a replacement motor, and decided it would be too costly given the age of the refrigerator. While I got to know his experience and knowledge, I asked him to take a look at our exhaust fan on our stovetop. Another appliance company told me it was not fixable, so we have not used it for over 5 years. Tien worked for about 45 minutes, and fixed it with no problem. The charges were reasonable - service fee for both applicances was $169 total. So pleased with our experience I will certainly call Brother Appliance again if we are in need. read more
