I wouldn't recommend dealing with this company nor hire them. It was a subcontractor for Whirlpool and the experience has been bad from the moment they got assigned as a repairer. Their systems calls you the day before and gives you a random time, then you get a few other calls with other times regardless of what you already confirmed. So good luck planning your day or understand when the technician will come. If you call them they will give you different explanations on the timeline some could include that your original time that you already confirmed got bumped because some other customer really wanted. So you can get discriminated based on your last name (aka race/nationality) or if you call based on your accent. Since they won't be able to 'help you' since they have no managers and no system to submit any complaint. So good luck to you if you want to hire them. read more

BEWARE of Appliance Hospital! I have a KitchenAid dishwasher which is on warranty. Unfortunately, KitchenAid and Whirlpool have a contract with this company to repair warranty work. I needed to have a repair made for my new dishwasher and KitchenAid assigned the repair to this business. I received a phone message today that Appliance Hospital would not accept this assignment. I used this business previously per a referral that worked on Asko appliances. In 2023, a repair service person came to my unit from Appliance Hospital and recommended that I order a part for my clothes dryer to 'fix it myself' because he did not have the part. This company is dishonest and lied to me twice about making contact with KitchenAid to obtain another repair service. I recommended that KitchenAid review their Yelp reviews for other customer complaints. BTW, unlike other businesses, I've noticed that 'Appliance Hospital' never responds to complaints on Yelp. If you have an extended warranty for KitchenAid or Whirlpool, request a different repair service. I have an extended warranty with Lowe's post warranty and it appears that KitchenAid is required to service my dishwasher until the warranty expires. read more

This should have been caught when I scheduled the call the day before and gave them the make and model. The kicker - this same company serviced the same dishwasher twice before. My 5.5 yr old KitchenAid fridge stopped cooling and this company was great. There was good communication and they were able to get a repairman out within 2-3 days of when I called (wasn't urgent as my food had already spoiled). Parts were ordered promptly and a follow up visit scheduled. My repair was not cheap but they were clear about the price up front and walked me through the what and why. My service tech was professional, friendly, and super knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again but hopefully not soon for my fridge ; ). read more

I had an appointment with these people as assigned to repair my new fridge that I purchased from Albert Lee. Upon the time of service the technician asked what the problem was? Okay, so you scheduled a four hour window for me to hang around and wait on you and you don't even know why you were sent out? I explained the issue only to be told by the technician that the problem with my particular unit would need to have a part ordered to fix. So we planned to reschedule after this part arrived. About a month later Appliance Hospital calls to let me know the part they order had arrived. I requested a time first thing in the morning. The afternoon before the appointment I received a call saying the technician needed to go to take care of a service in a far away location and if I could have an afternoon appointment? At this point, I just wanted my fridge fixed, so I agreed to the later appointment. I was given a 1-4pm window and per the instructions, I removed all the food from the refrigerator and freezer and unplugged the unit. At 12:45pm, I get a phone call from the technician. I'm thinking that he's calling to let me know he's in his way. Instead, he informs me that the wrong part was ordered and could not do the job. So I have now rearranged my day and been inconvenienced with this three hour window, I have to put all my food back into the fridge, plug it back in, only to have to do the whole thing all over again. I was given the names of the supervisors from Appliance Hospital (Moony and Steve), and left a voicemail to inform them of debacle and make sure the right part gets ordered. However, I never received a response. I get the impression that customer satisfaction is not something they're too concerned about. read more

I don't trust this company. For past 3 years I had issue with my refrigerator which has been under extended warranty for 5 years through a company. The refrigerator side reaches 6 degree (Lowest Temp) and causing freezing the food and I have to throw them away. This problem is intermittent and so far 4 technicians have replaced the sensor (3-4 times), Controller board and so far having the same problem. I placed a device that monitor inside the refrigerator which records all the temperatures and even the technician came on Friday 6-06-2025 saw the report and still came up with non sense reasons.. why because this company has making money of this issue!! We have a Whirlpool Washer that is under a recall for the control head unit to be replaced. Whirlpool assigned Appliance Hospital to schedule with me for the repair. 1 week goes by We wait for our appointment. During this week we don't have a washer to use. Our appointment was for 3/19, between the hours of 2-5pm. I have a family member taking time to be at the house for the 3 hour window. 3/19 at 4:35 I contact Appliance Hospital to be sure they are going to show up for our appointment. Once they found my appointment, they told me that they are not going to make the appointment and to reschedule. If I didn't call to check on them coming, they would have never called to tell me that they will not be out today. 20 minutes before the deadline. Appliance Hospital clearly has terrible customer service. They sent there tech to a job 100 miles away from my call and is why they couldn't take care of my appointment. I will advise Whirlpool to not use Appliance Hospital for future repairs as Appliance Hospital doesn't care about customers or service appointments. read more

I should have listened to the previous reviews for this business. My appliance had issues, and the company scheduled an appointment for a technician to come out. I waited all day, only to receive a call 30 minutes before the service window ended saying they wouldn't make it and needed to reschedule. It's very difficult for me to take time off work, and since they don't offer weekend appointments, I had already missed an entire day for nothing. I would have understood if they had notified me earlier, but the last-minute cancellation was unacceptable. After reading other reviews, it's clear I'm not the only one this has happened to, so it seems to be a recurring issue. They definitely need to improve their communication with customers. Save your time and money and hire someone else. read more

I try not to review service businesses unless they are really great or really bad as personal experiences can vary so much. But this company couldn't complete a warranty repair on a new fridge to save their lives! First call we waited and I could not be home to coordinate it. The tech spent a lot of time inspecting ALL of my appliances and critiquing the installation. I built the kitchen and installed all the Wolf and Kitchen aid appliances including two dishwashers and multiple sinks. But he was lazy and assumed our new high end Kitchenaid 5 door fridge just needed a new ice Maker. So that didn't work and I contacted them to NOT send this same tech back that had to tell my wife how he used to have his own business and he's so smart but now working here etc. while looking into things on my home he wasn't assigned. But these people insisted on sending him back again with a supervisor. So here they come and I stayed to be part of it. The fill hose was freezing up and not letting the Ice maker fill and work. What did they do? They blew through the hose, put it back together and told me to call kitchen aid if it didn't work. The idiot supervisor insisted I put my finger in the ice cups to see that there's water in them!! Duh so I did it to shut him up. What a pair of clowns! English not their first language. So we spent Spring and all summer cracking ice out of plastic trays for ice water at work etc and couldn't use part of our freezer because of ice trays. I let kitchenaid know this and they finally got smart and sent Judd and black. Normal schedulers, normal techs, they found the problem with the heating system for the ice doors and fill tube without blowing and low tech stopgap repairs. I am in the service business. I should have checked the reviews before setting up an appointment with these people. Whirlpool pointed us to these guys. Our 4 year old washing machine (WFW5620HW2) was having trouble draining. The issue is likely a clog in the drain pipe. But instead of doing his job and cleaning the pipe the technician, Jason, took one look at our washing machine. Determined it was draining fine and that the problem with napkins in the drum. That was $150, for a freaking conversation. Anyway, our washing machine still doesn't drain. I feel robbed. Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys at all cost! read more

Maytag referred Appliance Hospital to repair my Maytag dishwasher (MDB4949SDZ0). The technician ran the built‑in test and said there were no errors, despite my photo evidence of the upper rack not getting clean. I also found melon seeds in the spray arms and asked about replacing the chopper/blade, but he insisted this model doesn't have that part--even though Maytag's documentation indicates otherwise. He left without addressing performance issues and I was billed $150 for the visit. When I contacted customer service, I was told to pay the fee and ask Maytag to send a different contractor. Overall, the visit felt limited to running diagnostics rather than investigating likely causes (spray arms, filters, feed tube, circulation pressure), and the resolution offered was to start over with another servicer. I would give this company negative stars if I could. We had no choice but to use them because they're contracted by whirlpool. When our new fridge came straight out of the box with a broken ice maker, the retailer called and set up an appt with these people. It took a week for the tech to come and when he did, he complained about the drive and didn't offer to take off his shoes or cover them. He took one look and said he "had to order a part that would take about 2 weeks." He was here literally 5 minutes and didn't even leave a business card. When the 2 weeks were up, we called them and they said the parts were still on order and had to be delivered "on a semi" (the part is literally the size of my thumb.) They scheduled another appt to fix it. When we didn't hear from them for the second appt, they said the parts were being shipped and scheduled a later appt. We found out later from the retailer that the tech never ordered the parts from the original visit and only did it when the I complained to the retailer that it was taking 2 months to fix a simple thing. They never did fix the fridge and the retailer ended up just replacing it. After reading some of the reviews here, it seems my experience was about the same as everyone else. Had a wonderful experience today with Michael at The Appliance Hospital (TAH). Our new GE cooktop stopped working and was still under warranty. I called GE and they arranged for TAH to fix it. I received a call from Michael and we discussed what was going with the cooktop. He ordered the parts based on this conversation and then came today to fix the cooktop. Michael was a complete professional, pleasant and - best of all - got our cooktop working again! Couldn't be happier with my experience! I found a screw in my dishwasher, KitchenAid sent Appliance Hospital to perform warranty repair. Technician came, look at the screw and declared it could not have come from the dishwasher, he refused to inspect the machine and left without doing any work. I went to a parts website, found the screw by the dishwasher model number and then drawings of parts it is used for - inspected these parts and found a screw missing on the door internal gasket - the whole process took 5 minutes. Appliance Hospital is incompetent and rude, and their rating speaks for itself. read more

I've used appliance hospital twice on my new stove- under warranty. The crew that has come out has always been on time and professional. They bring equipment to prevent damage to my floors and surrounding areas and they wear booties. They have always had the part in their car and been able to repair the issue in the same day. The scheduling team has been helpful as well. I can't speak to the cost as it's always been under warranty. If they come out and don't find or can't replicate a problem they do charge you for the service call, which seems reasonable. read more

He went above and beyond and in helping us to understand just how the new dryer worked and what was wrong. Oven broke about a month ago, had it replaced by a company this one works with. Having issues with a main burner and the oven holding temp. The man they sent out Wednesday said nothing was wrong with the main burner, the clicking sound it made was "normal", and that you had it have it on high for it to work not low.. The clicking doesn't happen on the other three burners and it should function on low. Said they needed a new board ordered and would come back on Friday (the date of this review), the same guy shows up, with no board or parts, saying they need to order it. The only reason I rated this company a "1" is because the customer service person whom I spoke with a week ago was nice, polite and helpful. If it weren't for her, this would be a "0", at best. The technician who came out was abrupt on the phone. I could look past that, especially because it could be a language/cultural barrier. However, he was worse when he got here. He barely introduced himself, and said he was here for a range. I corrected him and said that it was for a wall oven and he rudely told me that it didn't matter. He opened up the oven to look for a label with the model number and serial number. When I was telling him that I had looked for one when I had spoken with the customer service person and couldn't find it, he basically cut me off and said that he couldn't do anything. I proceeded to explain that the customer service person told me that the model number, which I did have, was enough. He again, cut me off and said that he couldn't do anything and told me to call my home warranty company. I tried to ask questions, but he kept cutting me off and was half way out the door when he repeated that there's nothing he could do. People who work amongst and with people, should know how to communicate properly. This guy was extremely horrible!!!!! Under no circumstance should he be out representing your company, as a repair technician. Thankfully, I spoke with my home warranty company and they put me in touch with another company. read more

The Appliance Hospital has now made multiple trips to our house over the last two months and still no working washer. Now they tell me another two weeks because they failed to book the next trip out. WARNING!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I would give 0 stars if I could or negative. I will try to summarize my awful experience spanning from November 2024 to February 2025. From November - January, I had 3 service appointments for the same issue for my 2.5 year old Beko Washer (machine stopped mid-cycle, usually before the water drained). The technician did not listen to my concern and went solely on the error message he saw on the machine. He insisted the error message was correct and after 2 months, parts ordered and 3 appointments, I was told the resolution was to pay $900 for a new motherboard. What a waste of time and being that long without a washer was obviously a huge inconvenience, but they didn't care! I was furious that the tech did not listen to my concerns and after the last appointment said, well your machine will work on the 20 minute cycle, so you can at least do laundry because the machine filled with water. That was never the problem and of course, the machine stopped mid-cycle (after it filled with water) on the 20 minute cycle and so NO, I could not do laundry. In January, I purchased a new machine. Since my machines were stackable, I was forced to buy the same machine, again. This time I got the extended warranty and I opted for an open box unit to save $500 since this was all costing me a lot. It arrived damaged (soap drawer was stuck) and I was told it would need to be serviced. Appliance Hospital was the only service provider I could use, so reluctantly I set up an appointment. The tech came and got the soap drawer unstuck, but then the drawer would not go back in flush and one of the trays looked like someone took a bite out of it. I called Appliance Hospital back and stated I was not happy with the repair, and asked them for a new soap drawer. They ordered one and came back out this week. When the tech arrived, he did not have the drawer, nor was he told one was ordered for me. He said, no problem we can order you one and you can put it in yourself - and showed me how to put the drawer in. He insisted I did not need a tech for the appointment. When I called Appliance Hospital expressing my frustrations, they said, this repair is "cosmetic" and the repair was not under warranty. They also said if they send me the soap drawer and I put it in myself, it would null the warranty. The tech also put that in his notes, which was opposite what he told me when standing in my house. Why in the world would they have scheduled my appointment and sent a tech out if the repair was not under warranty? Again, what a waste of time! Where was the breakdown in communication that they would waste their tech's time and mine to send someone out when it was not under warranty? I have also had numerous scheduling problems, including getting my time slot changed the day before at 5pm (on the dot) via notification by an automated phone call. The company closes at 5pm, so I could not call them. This company is also only open M-F and won't provide services after 3:00pm, so as a teacher, it made it SO inconvenient to schedule or have someone at my home to supervise the repair. Another problem with Appliance Hospital is that the people answering the phones are so rude and DO NOT WANT TO HELP. They must be trained to say the same rote statements and just piss off customers. I couldn't believe how rude and incompetent all of them were (except for the person who took my payment for the first set of washer repairs, of course). The amount of misinformation was astronomical. I was promised appointments after 3pm, on a Saturday, rescheduled appointments within the same week, none of which happened. Spare yourself a headache and AVOID THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. I'm about to return the machine to the company where I purchased it from, get rid of my perfectly good dryer and purchase a different set of units that will not require the use of Appliance Hospital (they are the only ones to work on Beko machines in all of Seattle). read more

Fixing a simple fridge issue took 2 months and got so bad we were without a fridge for weeks. I waited a month for a part to arrive from one of their preferred suppliers. Wasn't until after multiple calls to push the issue that they decide to finally contact whirlpool and get the part. 2 days later the part they need magically appear - I guess they had a part in stock this whole time? They finally get the work order scheduled and finished which went fine for the most part (minus a small ding on the fridge). I later receive an invoice even though it was under warranty. I explain this to them and send along screenshots with proof of purchase but again I'm just told it was denied. This forces me to call kitchen aid who quickly validates the warranty.. All in all a horrible experience - no customer service what so ever. read more

I will reschedule you again i said ok. but i need evening appointment (2pm to 5pm) she said sorry our last appointment time is 3 pm. and we already booked until next whole month. This place is a joke. They were sent by Whirlpool to repair my washing machine that was under warranty. They call to set the appointment and tell me the technician will call me when he is on his way. I tell them to please have him call when he is leaving the prior job as I am only 15 minutes from home. I was again assured they would call. As you can guess, the technician never called. Their dispatch calls me saying he is at my house and nobody is home. They couldn't tell me why I wasn't called as he was on his way over. I was then told he has some time and can wait 15 minutes for me to get there. I arrived exactly 15 minutes later only to find he already left! I call dispatch and am told I need to reschedule for the following Wednesday. After scheduling, they call me Tuesday evening to say they made a mistake and have to reschedule for Thursday because the technician has mandatory training on Wednesday! The tech comes out Thursday (still doesn't call as promised) and says two parts need to be ordered and that they will call Monday to schedule the repair. Lo and behold, no phone call Monday. I end up calling on Wednesday, only to be told I will need to contact the manufacturer because they can't locate the part! I have been without a washing machine for a month as these guys can't seem to be able to order parts. They certainly can't seem to call a customer and keep them informed of anything. Luckily this is a warranty claim so I don't have to pay out of pocket. I will definitely never do business with this clown company ever again. read more

It was very difficult to schedule an appointment. Didn't hear anything from them, then the technician shows up unannounced. No call to let you know the day or time window. Technician didn't listen to an explanation of the problem (i.e, failure of washing machine to drain properly). He ran a few diagnostic tests of questionable utility and said, "It's fine. BYE!" When I tell him that it's not fine and explain the problem again, the technician gets argumentative. "I checked these units a thousand times and I know it's OK!" The next day, the washing machine leaks water during the rinse cycle, causing damage to the floor. Yeah, everything was just fine. If you can, go elsewhere for service on your appliances. read more

Beware! My dryer's heating element went out. They charge $139 just to come out to the house. This is not prorated into the repair. They ended up charging me $330 to replace the heating element and THIS DID NOT INCLUDE PARTS. Within 30 days, the dryer went out again. I tried to call but it was the New Years long holiday weekend and by the time I was able to get through their phone line, they said they would charge me again because it was 2 days over their 30 day guarantee. I used a YouTube video to try to fix it and it turned out their tech did not mount the heat element and just laid it on the bottom of the cage, therefore it shorted out. I called Appliance Hospital and they agreed to refund me the labor BUT NOT THE $139 SERVICE CHARGE! I told them "But they didn't fix it" and she said that was the best they could do. Perfectly terrible experience so far, all due to Veronica the customer service rep. Very unhelpful, simply THRILLED at the opportunity to be unhelpful. With eVery question I asked she replied with as unhelpful an answer as possible, as patronizingly as possible. I'll see how the actual service is and amend my review as I find out how they do. So far Veronica is not a good face for this company! UPDATE: still unimpressed. The technician came out and I could tell he was knowledgable but had the same "can't help you" attitude. I asked if the melted cord was covered. No. I asked if he could clean the vent out. No. I asked what could be done so this didn't happen again. Nothing. I had hired an electrician to do the work at first because Appliance Hospital couldn't get us in for a week and we can't go a week without laundry since we have 4 little kiddos.
