My daughter's car was stolen in February. After dealing with insurance I was dreading the purchase…read moreof a new car. I generally dislike car shopping and dealerships. She was looking online and found a couple cars she was interested in at Corvallis Toyota/Subaru. We went on a Friday night to pre-look at the cars and then went back Saturday to test drive the cars she was interested in. She chose a car and we drove it home an hour and 40 minutes later. Eric was the salesman and took good care of us, making sure that the car had floor mats and a couple other small items to make it completely perfect for her. I would recommend.

Almost from the beginning I was having trouble with steering related to the safety features, I thought, but then suddenly got check engine lights that caused me to take the car into Kendall Subaru in January, 2025. Turns out the solenoids were shot and during their inspection found all the fluids in the car were shot and needed replacement, there is a huge gash in the transmission cover and a couple other things. I didn't get all the things replaced that they suggested but spent $800 anyway. It now has no steering problems. Why isn't there a law that at least requires dealerships to inform you of service needed on the used vehicles, so that we can at least address them before it's too late. FAIR WARNING OF ALBANY, OREGON SUBARU POOR PRACTICES.

We just bought a car from Gabe, the last week of February, 2025. We gave him a very low budget,…read moreunder $2000, we needed something with good gas mileage and not more than like 200,000 miles on it. He provided us with several options, even having one of his guys, Sawyer, spend 2 to 3 hours pulling a car out of one of their other locations (because it was buried in a sea of auction cars) for us to look at/ test drive. We negotiated a very fair price and he even offered to help with financing in house at a VERY fair interest rate, if we didn't have cash on hand. Never once was there any pressure from him to make a purchase or to choose one vehicle versus the other. He was open and honest about any cosmetic or mechanical issues that different cars might have. I've never met another used car salesman like him. We made a purchase and our very happy with the vehicle, the price, and the whole experience. He's even helping us source some tires for it. We got a little 2003 Suzuki hatchback!

Gabe and his crew were very welcoming, the price was fair and it is great to see young people who work hard succeed. I think selling cars is just an intense business. There can be so many loop holes and you have to…read moreput all your trust in these "salesmen". Before you walk onto any dealership you have to do your due diligence and research of what car you want to buy. Know your boundaries and know what type of fees or extra costs that come with buying a car. If you walk in with zero research and get upset that you've been "swindled or lied to", know that it is your own damn fault and you probably shouldn't be buying a car. Crocker's sells USED vehicles which means that you buy a USED vehicle. Now with that being said, they were extremely kind and helpful to me and my family looking for an suv. They answered every single question we had, they showed us the thorough inspection they had done on the vehicle, and then *gasp* they tried to sell us a warranty (like any dealership), but it wasn't in our best interest....so we didn't buy it. I didn't feel pressured or taken advantage of at any moment. They handle everything professionally and went line by line through the paperwork before we signed. They also pretty much baby sat my toddler while my boyfriend and I could discuss what we wanted to do. I drove 3 hours to see them because I liked how professional Sam was and I will always recommend this dealership to anyone.

UPDATED/REVISED This is long, but the details are important…read more I originally wrote and shared the following. I have made small edits as a courtesy to the owner of Crocker's Cars as he was disgruntled that I addressed one of his salesman personally. THE FOLLOWING is my slightly revised original post, edited only as a one-sided courtesy. When shopping for a vehicle, you hope to get lucky enough to avoid being taken advantage of. If that's your goal, if you want your interests considered, RUN. RUN FAST AND RUN FAR from Crocker's Cars, Inc. in Lebanon, Oregon. If you have a teen looking to finance their first vehicle- well, just don't let it happen. They will walk all over your child's interests to ensure their pockets fill. My 18-year-old son went to Crocker's Cars, 3+ hours from home to "look" at a truck he saw while driving by. Because he was away from home and it was short notice, he went in without mom or dad. My son purchased a truck from Jimi on February 1st, 2023. In addition to financing the truck, Jimi also sold my son a warranty. On February 8th, 2023, seven days after purchasing the truck, my 18-year-old is stuck on the side of the road with a broken down truck. I'll summarize. Truck and warranty purchased on February 1st. Turbo goes out on February 8th. Crocker's Cars refuses to do ANYTHING to help. They are disgustingly nasty on the phone (thank you again, Jimi). More phone calls from a heartbroken kid to mom and dad. Parental advice leads 18-year-old to call warranty company. Warranty finally agrees to cover the cost of the turbo. Crocker's Cars refuses to help with towing/repairs- no, they have their money- the kid can apparently figure it out on his own. Fast forward- October, 2023. The now 19-year-old is driving home from work, and again, truck breaks down. Transmission went out. We are again incredibly thankful Jimi sold the warranty. WRONG. Jimi and Crocker's Cars sold my son a warranty for $4,855. What does the warranty cover? It covers a max of $5,000.00 in repairs. Since the truck Jimi and Crocker's Cars sold my son broke down 7 days after it was purchased, nearly the entire $5,000.00 warranty was exhausted. The entire transmission repair, $9,639.74 is to somehow be covered by my 19-year-old son. After calling ASC Warranty, the warranty provider, we have been told that it is up to the dealership to choose what price they charge the customer for the warranty. What fantastic deal did Crocker's Cars pass along? Here it is: $5,000.00 - max covered by the warranty $4,855.00 - amount financed for the warranty $1,051.51 - approximate interest my son will pay for this warranty My son will have paid $5,906.51 for $5,000.00 of services. In addition, he paid for the vehicle towing. He has been out of a vehicle many more than a handful of days since purchasing his truck, AND has had to figure out how to come up with nearly $10,000.00 in repairs. UPDATE After I shared this as a Google review for Crocker's Cars and on my social media page, the owner asked me to call him, which I did. Once he was able to calm down and address the issue, he clearly stated twice that they (Crocker's Cars) were to blame for the issue and would make it right. Through my conversation with the owner, my son was offered $3,500.00 to help offset the cost of the transmission repair. I asked about the scam-feel of the warranty and was told that Crocker's Cars no longer uses that warranty company because they had no idea that is how the warranty worked (but they are the ones who felt comfortable selling the warranty.) I removed my Google review, even though it was an accurate accounting of what happened. As you can see in the screenshots of text messages, my son was ultimately promised half of the actual cost of transmission repair. I deleted my post as a courtesy, and now we are told by the owner that because my post was up for 5 days, it now "doesn't excite him to help" my son. Many negative posts are opinions, not this one. I will post screenshots of my conversation with Crocker's Cars. I feel like business names should be spread far an wide by word of mouth. If a business is great, TELL EVERYONE! Support a business doing a good job! If a business blatantly chooses to do bad and even crooked business- warn people. Had someone been able to share the many poor experiences I have recently heard, maybe my son wouldn't be in this position but would have been able to visit a trustworthy car dealership.

My 2025 highlander hybrid would not start when i was visiting Corvallis from Eugene. I had driven…read moreit just 3 hours earlier and it was fine. But it would not start, the lights did not work. Nothing. Dead. I called the Eugene dealer I had been taking the car to and asked to speak to a technician, hoping to get an idea of what was wrong. The woman who answered the service department phone told me that I could not speak with a technician and that i should have it towed in . It was still under warranty and soI i could call the toyota care hotline to. get that tow. I said so you want me to tow it into your shop 55 miles away? You will be closed by the time it gets there. She said that was all they could do for me. I called toyota care and they said they could get a tow truck out there in 1.5 hours which would be a little after five. The person on the phone said it could be the battery. They could send someone out to jump me (it would take the same 1.5 hours to get someone here) but if it was not the battery I would have to call back and they would have to send a different outfit for the tow. Exasperated and desperate, I called Corvallis toyota to see if I could get guidance about troubleshooting the problem. The person who answered the phone was named Ace. She said, "it sounds like you have a dead battery." My car is a hybrid and so I asked her about jumping a hybrid and how to do it etc. I explained that I was at my daughter's house taking care of grandchildren. She told me where the battery was and how to jump the car. I told her I had called Toyota Care and was told it would be 1.5 hours to get someone there. She said really that long, where are you? I gave her the address. She said just a minute let me talk to my boss. She got back on the phone and told me she would be there in ten minutes. Sure enough she was there in ten minutes and jumped the car. She said she wanted to make sure the battery was not defective and told me to drive the car for twenty minutes and then to bring it in so they could test it. I pointed out it would be five by then. She said they are open till 6 no problem they would fit me in. So I drove it around for 20 minutes, took it in to the Corvallis Toyota service bay. Griffin the service rep greeted me and called a tech for help. Wyatt the tech then brought out a battery tester and spent an out ten minutes checking the battery and determined it was healthy showing me the readings and explaining them. I thanked him and he left. Went over to pay and Griffin said no charge for any of it, not Ace driving to the house for the jump, nothing. Then, I got into the car to leave and noticed their was a message on the dash that said something was wrong and to contact the dealer. I got out of the car and went back into the service office and again told Griffin I had a problem. " No problem" he said "I can check the code. It might just need to be cleared and if there is a problem we can help." He called someone to bring some code reader device, went and read the code, reset the computer and said, " You are set to go." Once again I offered to pay. "No charge." was the response. "Have a good evening, I am glad we could help." I am nearly 70 years old. I remember garages where this kind of service was quite common but that was years and years and years ago. But here it was, just like the old days, a neighborhood business serving its local customers with kindness and generosity. From now on I will take my car to Corvallis Toyota for its regular maintenance and when I am ready to buy again, I will go there. The people care about their customers even though they did not know me and even though no money changed hands. Well done Toyota of Crovallis. Thank you ACE and Griffin and Wyatt and whoever the boss is who approved Ace going to help out a stranger. You have earned my business and my trust. Thank you.
