Despite my selfish intentions -- because honestly, I'd prefer to keep the line and wait time short -- let's call a spade a spade: this family-run shop is superb. Pizza, pasta, subs, SICILIAN -- it's all amazing. Ask for the ranch. It's worth it every single time. I've worked my way through most of the menu and every item has been a home run. The chicken parmesan was very dry since they didnt put enough sauce for the whole dish and the breaded chicken was soggy on the outside and kind of dry on the inside. We were greeted warmly immediately upon entering, walked up to the counter and found the menu was very easy to read. We ordered a 12" pizza and a stromboli and were seated. The dining room area was very clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of seating. The food came out hot and tasted great. The pizza crust was traditional NY style, and cooked to perfection. The stromboli was also made well, with a healthy portion inside. Our drinks were refilled consistently, and service was extremely attentive. What a treat this was! Have not dined at Brother's since 2008. A friend from northern New Jersey took me here in 2008. Enjoyed a meal with my wife and her son yesterday. I asked for the pizza well done and it arrived just as I requested it. The crust was tasty and perfectly thin but could have had a bit more flavor. The blend of cheese and sauce was above average even for a pie sold in New York City. My wife and her son raved about the pizza. Her son said that the pizza was five stars and never ate anything as good as this. He said that the pizza did not lack anything. He also tried a few slices of their pizza supreme and he loved that too. The chicken parmigiana was three stars. Not terribly special, as was the pasta. My wife's son had a salad that included pepperoni, olives, ham, cheese and other Italian treats. He was amazed with the salad and could not believe how good it was. He never had eaten olives, but he decided to leave them in the salad and he was glad that he did. He was overwhelmed with the taster of the salad. The quality of the ingredients that are used here is high and that makes a difference in the taste of the food. The price of the pizza and other food was excellent. The location of the restaurant is convenient. They use real metal silverware and glasses for beverages, no plastic for those who dine at the restaurant. Leon served us and he was so darned nice to us! He treated us with special hospitality. The service was quick and as warm as could me. My wife and son told me that we have to stop at Brother's, whenever we drive through Dallas. I agree. It was a wonderful dining experience in every way. Props to this pizza place. I felt like this is one of the closest to NY street pizza I've had in DFW. My kids wanted baked ziti and the dish was HUGE. It came out piping hot with stringy melted cheese on top and the ricotta sauce was perfect. We ordered pizza with mushroom, which is a cheese slice with mushrooms on top, reheated. It hit the spot. Once I took a bite, I could not put down my slice. It had good structure to fold and hold. Most places in Dallas don't understand the importance of that. No soggy pizza here. No fork needed. Anyone who knows me, for my release from the week's stress I let someone else make dinner and clean up for me on Fridays. It's my pizza Friday, very important part to the well-being of my week and my life. I was making my normal call-in order to Brother's Pizza at the last call for take out. I got a message when I called that said "this number is unreachable"!! I panicked and drove to their location to find they had been without power excepting 1 generator-powered outle, internet and phone service for most of the week following natural-disaster level storms in Dallas. Turns out the owner had been making the dough by hand all week and servicing as many people as he could without the benefit of his machine. The owner, knowing how important my Friday pizza is to me made a pizza for me after last call for takeout. Amazing, what kindness! So if you get a chance, go get a pizza from Brother's. I travel for work so I stay in hotels a lot and you can imagine I eat a lot of pizza. This one place will be forever etched in my mind. This inconspicuous pizza place hiding right off the highway has me wanting to stay in Dallas. It just goes to show it's not about the new modern aesthetic of "artisan" pizza places. It's about the quality of the pizza. They are not hiding anything behind overly seasoned garlic soaked butter drenching the whole pizza. It is a balanced delicious pizza with just the right amount of chew to the crust that I come to love about NY style pizza. To top it off I ordered this pizza pretty close to closing time and the people there did not seem bothered by me but rather genuinely thanked me for the business. Will go again - I gave this place 4 stars for one major reason...it's the closest to good old local style pizzeria back in NJ / NYC. So far, many of the pizzerias I tried were a chain style pizza. The crust at Brothers tastes like they actually make it vs the others that tastes like it's pre-made or from a chain pizzeria. I ordered the "Works" NY style 18" pizza pie but that may have been overkill, as I normally eat 4-6 slices from the large size. It was a bit salty towards the later slices. As usual, the best way to try out a pizzeria is a plain slice, which I'll order next time. But, the fatty inside wins for the majority of timres. Based on the pie, I would rate this place one of the higher listed places to go for an inexpensive, local style pizzeria. The trials keep on going for PIZZZZA! The interior has a good vibe.
