Brothers is a Beacon staple. It is one of the few restaurants family owned and has every son, daughter, niece, nephew, mom, dad, aunt, uncle and cousin all working under the same roof. Had dinner here that was completely unplanned as the other restaurant we wanted to go to was closed on Monday nights. The restaurant was quiet, intimate, and had a nice ambiance. And the service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed the fried calamari. BF enjoyed his chicken cacciatore, with a perfect tang, lots of onions, and peppers. Wow! Brother's Trattoria has the best Italian food I have ever had, and I have been to Italy. The jumbo shrimp was fantastic, the veal with prosciutto and provolone was amazing. The staff seemed so happy to be there, we had nice conversation and they were so kind. There was a bridal shower happening in the back wing of the restaurant. And front wing was full of dining customers . I ordered the " Grandma" style Sicilian Slice and it tasted just as amazing as it looked. Made with Savory marinara sauce with a kick of spice .... This family owned restaurante found at the end of Main Street is a gem. The hostess was kind and made a us feel welcomed with a party of 6. The menu was easy to read and had plenty of options. The initial room you enter feels like the restaurant is small but as you turn the corner two larger banquet rooms provide plenty of space. The lighting was perfect slightly dimmed but bright enough to see the menu and the guest. Food was delicious ranged from Veal Marsala to pizza. We had every option of Italian cousins that tasted delicious and homemade. Wine choices were varied and also well matched with the food selection. Perfect place to bring your family and friends to enjoy a nice Italian meal. Saltimbocca was delicious well balanced dish Veal covered in prosciutto and mozzarella. Absolutely amazing experience at Brother's Trattoria! It was a very cold evening walking around town and we were craving a nice warm meal. Italian food was ideal and Brother's was nearby! Walking in to the toasty restaurant with delicious smells, we knew we had made the right choice. We were greeted enthusiastically, quickly seated, and immediately served complimentary garlic knots. They were so fresh and delicious! Everything on the menu was mouthwatering, but I knew exactly what I wanted: chicken parm. As soon as it arrived, I knew I had made the right choice. This chicken parm was large, cheesy, warm, and just amazing all around. The perfect meal for that very cold day (the perfect meal for any time, actually!). When I went to the restroom, I bumped into one of the owners who very enthusiastically greeted meet and asked me about my experience. He showed me around the restaurant and really took time to talk to me, which I appreciated. He also came to our table to talk to our family, and they all really enjoyed that. So delicious! I was looking for a place that had carbonara pasta since I never had it before, and this was the only one near me I could find. Menu just said cream sauce so I don't know if it's really made with egg, but it was so good. I tried my boyfriend's penne and it was sooo full of flavor. The last dinner of our recently concluded vacation was at this popular Italian restaurant. My wife chose penne vodka with shrimp while her favorite dining companion opted for scarpariello di adelina (chicken breast sauteed with hot peppers (they were not kidding), Italian sausage and roasted potatoes in a garlic/Chardonnay reduction). This particular version of chicken scarpariello was different than I have encountered in the past and was deemed to be only fair. Great spot! I picked this restaurant because the menu showed a huge variety of dishes, mostly Italian. We were given complimentary garlic knots, which we could not stop eating. Then we got the salads that came with our pasta. It was a simple salad but felt substantial and was tasty to boot. Finally we got our pastas - the rigatoni bolognese, spinach ravioli, and lobster ravioli. It was all so delicious and so much food - we took home leftovers (and ate them for breakfast - ha!). The atmosphere was nice - we opted for the outdoor patio out back - it was covered and fenced so it felt like we were in our own private space (though the inside looked pretty spacious). The Frank Sinatra music gave it a classy, laidback vibe. The service was excellent - we were checked on multiple times. This is our go to place for italian. They are consistently good every time. We haven't been here in a while but the food was just as good as it's always been. We like to arrive later afternoon. After a long walk at Madame Brett and just before the dinner crowd. When it's still nice and quiet. This place can get real loud. I tried their red sangria and was pleasantly surprised. It was delish. Not sangria as you'd expect but good just the same! As always I had delicious left overs that fed me and our pups - who gave it 2 paws up - they are the biggest foodies in the house. Large pie thin & crispy Brothers salad w/ crumbly Gorgonzola (or is it blue cheese I ask for?) and balsamic vinaigrette is my go to order for delivery. I put that salad right on top of my pizza. However, not only is their pizza a 10/10 their chicken Francese is to die for. Also perfect calamari. It's perfect for popping in for a slice. Kid friendly. Beautifully and elegant European decor. When you walk in, the staff greet you and provide daily specials of what choices of dishes they have to offer. The complimentary garlic knots are worth to come here alone but the drinks are also a plus. Their cocktails are strong but subtle with flavors that pair nicely with the pasta. I ordered the Ravioli Di Spinaci which was soooo creamy, tasty and filling. Prices are a good range and definitely save room for dessert. The decor was vintage and it took me back like as if I were in Italy myself. The other table had their dinner before we did. I had a cup or so of pasta with about a 1/2 cup vegetables in it, husband had shellfish with pasta. Do the math, neither was a labor intensive dish that required a lot of work. No appetizers, nothing after the salad. (Waitress/hostess gave a half hearted sorry as she walked quickly by when I said we were there almost an hour, before the dinner finally arrived.). In all fairness, our dinner was very good. This place has been here over 15-20 years? So stood the test of time. Is it the best, or trendy, no. However you will have a quiet, peaceful, well made meal in the back, or go for ur slice in front. I had dinner here, and then tried lunch twice. The dinner was spectacular -- and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't particularly like Italian food. I had a crusted cod (and I don't really like cod!) which was so astoundingly good that I couldn't stop talking about it. Then I tried lunch -- uninspiring and easily forgotten. During the day, this is a different restaurant entirely. I know that people drive in from all over to go to Brother's, and now I understand why. But it's always in the evening. First time coming here. No regrets! I got the Anita (gnocchi with mushrooms and spinach in a garlic and oil sauce) and it was soooo good. The other guests with me enjoyed the eggplant parmesan, chicken cacciatore, duck special, penne with garlic and oil (kid), and a veal special. The bread is lightly toasted and addictive. There is an olive oil dip with things in it to flavor it. You've got to love a place that leaves a carafe full of water on your table! My friend and nephew had the espresso martini and both loved it. The service was good and the cost with drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and a dessert was less than $50 per person with tax and tip. Over the weekend I had my daughter's bridal shower at Brothers Trattoria! I have to say, I was completely impressed with the room, the food, but most of all the staff! Not only did they make us feel welcome, but they were able to accommodate a last minute gluten free request, went out of their way for my 91 year old mother who needed a lot of assistance, and even helped the wedding party with moving gifts.. We just can't say enough about their hospitality! Just booked my husband's 60th birthday for this summer!! Can't wait! read more
