Listen, I'm all about shopping locally and supporting the smaller stores, but on Friday, May 11th, 2018, I bought muffin mix to make my wife a nice Mother's day breakfast and after tasting them I noticed that they tasted strange. After checking the box, they had expired in DECEMBER. What this tells me is that they have not checked their inventory in over 5 months. Plus on top of that, my wife was nauseous the entire day. This isn't even the first time it's happened either to us. Last year the same thing happened. We know that Broulim's won't be able to beat Wal-mart on prices or selection of products, but at least try to not sell products that are 4.5 months expired. read more

Broulim's should be closed down, their meat section is gross, they would sell meat that is passed the expiration date and they just stick a new sticker on it. Gross, and they are quite expensive, go to Albertson's! read more

I love their location and their selection. They also have good deals if you can keep an eye out for them. (Use their coupons!) For a grocery store, they have a great selection of ready-to-eat vendors also. Cup Bop, their deli, and even the sushi is pretty good. We use their delivery service, and it is really convenient. Lots of new renovations, and the produce department, natural foods, and similar offerings have doubled! This is THE place in town if you want the closest thing to an old-school butcher's. Meat staff know their stuff, aren't afraid to cut to order or grind a cut off the shelf if you request it, and are great about questions and special orders. read more

I think their most positive area is their employees. They are always very kind and respectful, and even those who are stocking shelves will smile and say hello. Prices are similar to others stores, but its more convenient to do shopping for food and other basic household items here. Broulim's can have really good deals sometimes, and super sketch most of the time. They will literally sell you molded produce without any type of price cut. Their meats are also questionable. I've bought ground beef the night before I was going to cook it, then the next day it was sickly brown. I've also had similar issues with their salmon, shrimp, and chicken. You have to really check the dates...and sometimes you just have to hope that you don't get a bad batch. read more

As a college student living near campus in Rexburg, Broulims is the closest thing in walking distance. The prices aren't so hot, but that's as expected for a local market. They have the cheapest produce in town, and by that I mean not just the price, the quality is bad. One plus though, the workers there do seem to be more friendly than at the chains. read more

I always shop at Broulim's for groceries, but I never realied this is a great place to grab lunch as well! They have sushi, a hot bar, a salad bar, Chinese food, and delicious prepared meals that you can grab on the go. Highly recommend! read more

I really like the broulims store in Rexburg. It is always clean and t he help is always willing to help you find items. My complaint is about the credit card machines. The face on the machines are so marked up you can't see what you are signing. I just have to guess if I'm pushing the right space or not and it seems to be on every one of the machines. This is, by far, the worst grocery store I have ever been to. They have the highest prices in town, and the worst produce and deli foods. This is the only store I've ever been to where the produce began molding THE VERY NEXT DAY. I also tried one of their rotisserie chickens and it gave me food poisoning. If you value your life, you should avoid Broulim's. read more

if you want low quality food for a high price, look no further. If you want a minimal selection of organic food with the highest prices around, this might be your place. WIlted lettuce, a food supply meant for food storage and not actual consumption. DIrty, chaotic, RUDE employees, trashy and OUTDATED. The worst quality food as far as the eye can see. THE MOST EXPENSIVE store EVER! And forget about running to this store to pick up a banana to make muffins, etc. because you won't find a ripe one in this whole store!!! The fruit is bitter (i.e. grapes), oranges dried up inside, tomatoes WAY overpriced (and for some reason, rotting from the inside??) - bread made in the store goes bad almost immediately? (I've brought home several loaves and found mold in it fresh from the store?). What's with that? Why bring it back, you may say?? Because I LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES so I go South now to do my grocery shopping. My complaints fell on deaf ears and was treated like I was a picky person - for expecting moldless bread??? What the Heck? I'm Done with the Rexburg store. I live in St. Anthony - and this store is much the same in pricing, but at least I haven't got home with moldy bread from there AND the employees are the only reason i go shopping there! "Rondo" is my idol! He often has "Made My Day" when I've had a Bad one! Best Employee Ever! But, the economy is forcing me to pick and choose more carefully for the quality of my purchases - to stretch the useful value of my food purchases! WAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced and they have pretty crappy produce. its either not ripe(like, you will have to wait a week and a half to eat it) or it is too old. they do have nice staff though read more

Great local grocery store with a good selection of hot food. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the food items on the shelves. We didn't try the delivery or online pickup but I heard from several people that it is awesome. read more

I caught the lady in the sandwich deli spitting in my sandwich, I was so shocked that I bought it and thru it away. Was really disturbing. I will not go back. No idea why she did it, I was polite and other that I thought she did't want to help me, there was no other sign of an issue. read more

Love the uninformed in "Seattle" comment. Like saying, "When we were visiting the Vatican, all the people seemed SOooo religious!" Broulim's is closed on the Holy Sabbath because of their integrity. It is not 1% "stupid." It is courageous! Nice job Broulim's. Love the market. it's just blocks from home and we always find what we need. They're not trying to be "Trader Joe's" neither do they need to be. They serve the community and student body of the university very well. Great market!!" read more

Great supermarket. Best prices on groceries in town except for Walmart (and Walmart is usually out of everything), with a great international section. Not a huge selection of produce but everything there is fresh and reasonably priced. The bakery's got a decent selection, too. It is closed on Sundays, but that's a smart business decision in Rexburg. read more

The bakery is quite poor. Quite often packaged baked goods are mismarked as to either what they are or how many are in the package. I don't know who told their baker he/she was good but I would not agree. Cakes taste blah. Raisin filled cookies break into pieces when you try to pick them up. And their prices are higher than Albertsons. read more

Like every store it has its good and bad days, but more often depending on what your buying their prices are better than Albertsons and Wal-mart. Due to their desire to employ financially hurting college students there will be times where you ask where something is and they do not know where it is. If this happens ask for Ian or Greg (mangers) and they will drop what every they are doing and help you out. read more

Prices are high. I had to return ritten vegies and fruits 50-75% of the time, the same day. They trick people by manipulating prices: I checked the receipt every time and had them to refund me the difference from overcharging around 70% of the time. Suggestion: go to Winco, if it's too far for you - go to Albertsons read more

We usually have a pleasant time at Broulim's, but this time was different. My friend who just had a medical procedure, wanted to use one of the motorized carts, but none of them were working. She needed to grocery shop, so we helped her into one of the big sized grocery carts. We behaved responsibly with the cart in the store. As we were about to check out, a worker came up and rudely asked my friend in the cart to get out because the carts are very expensive. We explained the situation to her, but she was still defiant and rude and left to go get a motorized cart. We were checking out, and many other workers around us said it was okay that we used the cart. After we were done checking out, she still came up with the motorized cart and told my friend to get out. She was very rude and it was a very unpleasant experience. My friend ended riding the motorized cart for a minute to the entrance to put it back in place. read more
