I found Heather through Yelp and messaged her for an appointment. She was able to fit me in the next day. Her salon is in K-town in a cute suite in a bigger building. Parking is free as well. Olivia actually did my lashes and they came out just how I wanted. I asked for classic 9-12mm with a cateye look. I told Olivia that I had gotten eyelash extensions before, but the Western style of big lashes was too much for me. Olivia was very nice and pretty fast and the lashes were perfect for my Asian eyes. 2 days later my eyes really itched and became red, I let Heather know about the issue and she even came in on her day off to look at my lashes for me and make sure everything was okay. She was so kind and helpful. She gave me eyedrops and told me it was probably the eyepatch that irritated them. After she gave me the eyedrops my eyes were fine. I was holding off writing a review to see how the lashes would last, but almost 3 weeks later they still look good! Of course i am going to get a fill, but for me, they stayed on for a long time! I texted Heather to make an appointment for tomorrow night and she was very accommodating. Both Heather and Olivia are very sweet and definitely provide excellent service. I went to Heather because I was in a pinch and my regular lash lady was super booked. At first, i was super happy with the lashes! Now 3 weeks later and I see my regular lash lady almost half my lashes are pulled out. I never had such bad fall out ever! I had to pay to remove her clustered mess and get a new set completely. they look so dinky and sad. I texted Heather telling her what happened and she hit me with a "Sorry it's been 3 weeks no refund" apology. I DIDNT KNOW THE LASHES WOULD CAUSE SO MUCH DAMAGE IN 3 WEEKS. Also: She never mentioned that she would only take issues seriously within one week. How am I supposed to magically know that? also how am I supposed to predict how badly they would affect my lash health in a couple weeks. I am NOT a novice to lashes. I have been getting lashes done for years and use serums, take breaks, brush them. The fact that Heather didnt even bother to assess the situation that something faulty happened during the service is so unprofessional. She didnt even ask me any questions she just copy and pasted a blanket statement about her policy. I never heard her policies until now that I have an issue. This is not a good business. Heather is an expert, professional, and super kind! I am so thankful I found her! Highly recommend her. Heather's priority is the health of your lashes and this makes all the difference. Long story short: got my lashes done by a new person (somewhere else, NOT Heather) who did not prioritize the health of my lashes and then the lashes fell out in clumps and took my natural lashes with them. Then I met Heather and she was so kind and very honest about my lashes. She used a mirror, showed me where there were holes, and walked me through it. And immediately, she provided solutions: (1) do a light set now even though she did not recommend doing any at all, she would make it work (2) use serum for the next few weeks (3) come back for a fill to touch up where the serum worked. She also shows you the lashes she has available and explain them, but also give her expert recommendation on what she should use. When I left, I had a set of lashes and when I came back, she filled in everywhere possible. She was generous about the fill. Despite what she was working with, I came out with great lashes! Taste matters and she is very sensible. I loved my lashes, they were light in weight, lasted a long time and maintained the health of my natural lashes. The quality of her work speaks for itself. I am a regular with Heather now for four years, and prior to moving to LA, was getting lash extensions done in NYC for ten years. Heather is the best, I prefer to get full natural looking lashes and they're always perfect when I get her service. Normally, a lot of lash places don't listen to what you want and they overdue it with fake, thick, wind blowing lashes. Not Heather, she listens to you, has a gentle touch, is kind and I've never had an issue with pain or glue sensitivity. Which is a common issue I've experienced at other places. I've seen a few reviews here which complain about lashes falling off or getting sparse after three weeks, which if you get lash extensions you know that is the common process. The lashes fall off as your natural lashes grow out, which is why you go back every three weeks for care. I love my lashes each and every time I get them filled and I love Heather. I've gotten my eyelash extension a day b4 the party, also my anniversary is only a few days away. I can get it for 2 occasions. Heather, professional and careful, go with basic lashes due to my short/not full lashes but added some long one to look better. Moreover, she suggested the eye brow laminate, which I've never done before. It was with 0 pain, just a cool feeling of application and 100% using my own brow. I was really happy for the result! On the party day, I've just applied cc cream on top of my sunscreen, light shadow and eyeline, and tinted lip balm only. Took only 10 minutes. Heather was extremely kind, but regarding strictly her services.... * she was extremely slow (took 2.5 hours) * kept sighing while doing my lashes * the lashes itself (even though I chose mink) was way thicker than other lash artists & created a dull heavy look to your face * there is only one person working here and only one bed at the far back of some small hair stylist shop. Getting an appointment with heather can be quite inconsistent as some weekends she would be completely free while other weekends she'll be completely booked. + the lashes did however stay on for quite a long time (1 month and 2 weeks) without any drastic decrease in volume Overall, kind lady and the service for the price wasn't bad, but there are definitely way better lash services out there. read more
