Sunita makes my eyebrows even and shapes them to compliment my face shape. Really. She has magic fingers.

My eyebrows had become Amazon jungles and were in desperate need of shaping. I walked into Brow Art and inquired about threading. Sunita answered all my questions about waxing vs threading. I decided to try it. Sunita listened to my requests. Clean up the eyebrows. Make them look natural - I don't want it to look like I do my eyebrows. I know hard angles are the in thing right now, but I don't want that. After doing 1 eyebrow, Sunita let me check a mirror to make sure I was happy with the shape. I was. If you've never threaded before - here is what to expect. Unlike waxing, where your eyebrows are shaped with 3 or 4 pulls, with threading there were 30-40 pulls per eyebrow. The pain level was about the same - but it was the pain 40 times, not 4. (Personally I've never thought of this as painful, just uncomfortable). It didn't seem to matter that fewer hairs were being pulled each time. With threading, your eyebrows are not encased in wax, so as they are pulled, you feel random eyebrow hairs fluttering all over your face. When the brows were done, the skin around my eyebrows was all red. Whatever antiseptic she put on my brows stung a little. The next morning, my skin was still sensitive and I noticed an abrasion below one of the eyebrows. I was told the threading would last longer than waxing. I was then told that the brows would last 2-3 weeks. We shall see. read more

Brow Art 23 is a new addition to the Stamford Town Center and now the only place to get your eyebrows threaded in Stamford, now that i Brow Studio is closed. I checked it out today and I have no complaints. The salon is a bit smaller than i Brow Studio, but is much nicer looking and very modern. The girl who did my eyebrows took her time and had me check my brows every now and then to make sure I was happy, which is a nice change from the usual eyebrow salons that fly through the service. The one small downside for me is that they charge $12 for brows, whereas in the city you can pay $7 at most places and get really great service. I'll forgive the price gouging because it IS Connecticut, and hell I'll pay for the convenience. A few people came in while I was getting my eyebrows done to "watch." All I have to say is that you should just get them done! Threading is so much better than waxing and really doesn't hurt any more than getting your eyebrows ripped out by wax. :) read more

I will keep this thread spot in my rotation for as long as I'm in Stamford and Sam works there. She's very sweet and listens to what shape I want. She remembers me no matter how long it's been since I've been in- whether it's been 2 weeks or 6 months or even a year. They take cash and cards (and you can tip on your card as well). I knew this store had been open for a while, but I never tried it out until the day before yesterday. I saw the line of people, so I figured the wait must have been worth it, right? I waited for some time, but it was rush hour so it was expected. My brows were completely messed up by the brow store i previously went to, and I had a friend strongly recommend this one. Once the threading lady got to me, she answered me with a smile and was understanding the entire time. I am quite picky about my brows to be honest, so I was bracing myself for the disappointment. But it never came. I was shocked by my eyebrows after. They looked better than they ever had in my entire life! She totally fixed my brows, and it wasn't nearly as painful as the other stores I've been to. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who needs their brows done professionally. The lady who did my eyebrows was Sunita. The price was very reasonable, and I've never been happier with my brows. I would give more stars if I could! SO WORTH IT. read more

On my venture to compile my go to list of places for my beauty needs after my move to Stamford from NYC, I came across this place in the Stamford town Center Mall. It's located next to Saks Fifth Ave (I did get lost trying to find it). I walked in when only one other person was getting a service so I was lucky to be served right away. I sat down, laid back, and asked that she keep the shape, but clean up around. She finished one brow and had me check it to see. It was PERFECT. She continued to the other brow and when it was done, it was great. I LOVE my brows. She also trimmed any lengthly hairs and put a gel over the area. It's a little bit more from the place I used to go to in the city for $6, I'm paying twice as much at $12, but it's totally worth it, and much more skin healthy, and cleaner than waxing. So I was stood up by the lady who was suppose to do my threading work a day before the event I was attending. Brow Art 23 to the rescue. Being inside the mall, it is expected to be expensive, however I did not mind paying double the price for the service as the lady did an ace job with my eyebrows. I do not think that it could be my friends (or my) to go place for every time because of the steep prices, however they could easily be counted on saving the day. read more

My go-to eyebrow place. I'm a fan of threading and this place is convenient in the city and does the job. Always walked out pleased with my brows. The women do a good job and work hard. $12 is a little steep, but with the convenience and satisfaction factors... It's worth it. Brow Art 23 in Stamford is great for eyebrow and upper lip thresding. I go at least once a month to get my eyebrows shaped and trimmed. They do a good job every time. It is a little more expensive than the city, but unless you are in the city all the time, the convenience is worth it. read more

Considering the choices are a little limited in Stamford, you make do with what's available. I return to this business only because there is nowhere else to get threading done. The staff is amazingly rude- and it's a real shame as the location is convenient and the treatments are decent. Again, if they could just improve the customer service side, I'd enjoy the experience much more. read more

I went there about a month ago and I was devastated by the outcome. The lady totally messed up my eyebrows! One side was thicker than the other and on top of it when I asked her to correct it she said it was fine. I have waited a whole month for my bushy (and look horrendous BTW) eyebrows to grow back just to get them reshaped. Now I need to find another place that will do them properly. read more

I go here routinely. Everyone has an assigned chair, so starting from the chair nearest to the entrance will be lady 1, and so on. Lady 1(Sunita) is by far my favorite, she is well experienced and gets the hair out by the root. The second lady(Sammy) is good too. read more

Consistent, convenient and clean. It's a clean shop and a good location with nice women who work there. For $12, it's definitely worth it. Every time I go, I never get the same person to thread my eyebrows but it's always a good job and I've never waited more than five minutes (if no wait at all). I've never made an appointment. They are efficient and quick. I've had painful threading experiences (few, but they have happened) but never at this location. The women are really nice and know what they are doing. I ask them to keep the shape and keep them as natural looking as possible and they've never disappointed. It may be pricey for threading compared to other cities but all things considered, it's a decent price with good, consistent results. read more

They were very good with the eyebrows. But they did not run the salon efficiently. While there were about 4 people in line, one of the girls decided to take a 20 min break. Generally, they were very slow. To the point where people waiting started to leave. read more

I told the woman what I wanted and she listened. I'm really picky when it comes to my eyebrows and never really let anyone touch them except for me, so I was a little hesitant. I had told her I didn't want her making my ends too thin when I first got there and she asked me if it was ok to remove some additional hairs when she was doing my first brow. The woman did a really great job. $12 is reasonable. Place was clean, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. read more

Basically no pain, kind of pricey, but looks better than waxing. Ya they aren't super friendly but they get the job done.

This is the worst eyebrow place ever! I warn you guys don't ever go there. I've been getting threaded since I was 14 years old and in my 15 years I've never ha a worse experience. This lady didn't speak a lick of English and took 20 mins on one eyebrow. I had blood on my eyebrows and a week later I have scabs like I got punched or eye stiches. It hurt so bad when she pulled that I had to get off the chair and yell at her to stop. I left with one eyebrow. Went next door where thy did my other eyebrow an cleaned up my blood. I went back to get my money back and he said I have sensitive akin. It's not her fault. 20 minutes on one eyebrow and its not her fault. Dumb people! read more

Went for the first time today. No complaints. As the previous reviewer noted it is a little pricier than the City, but it is convient.

Only because i HAVE to leave a star. If not i wouldnt. I went in a couple months ago just to get a clean up on my eye brows that FINALLY had a nice arch and full, not to thick not to thin just perfect. Came out crying. They ruined my eye brows and now they dont grow back so im stuck with thin eye brows which i hate. They cant make even eyebrows. One is always off to the side and thinner then the other. DO NOT GO HERE ! read more

First if you have any questions or specifics requests don't bother as the employees don't speak english..at all. I stopped in around noon for eyelash extensions, however the employee didn't know how to do them and told me "2pm". So I went back home and came back at 2pm. Turns out it was 3pm that the other employee who could do eyelash extensions would arrive. I asked if I should make an appointment and she says no no, she do 3pm. So I come back at 3pm on the dot and she was already helping another customer with a full set of lashes. Both employees just smiled and either couldn't understand or just didn't give a flip. Needless to say I walked out not wanting to wait another 30 min for what was probably going to be a subpar experience. read more

I had my eyebrows done here recently. The woman was ok. I would have rated the place higher but I asked for my eyebrows to not be too thin and she didn't listen. Also, the place downstairs was offering a $3 discount in the same mall. read more

I just had my eyebrows done and I'm still in pain . I'm not sure if this is common with threading since it was my first time. My skin was bleeding and slightly puffy. I'm concerned now about how clean threading is? I thought waxing was bad. My eyebrows are still painful five hours later. Never again!! I'm going back to waxing and look into laser hair removal. read more
