I go to Elegant Eyebrows regularly for eyebrow threading, and for my whole face several times a year. But- my favorite thing is the cluster eyelashes. My eyelashes are fine, short & blonde. I can't afford (the $ or time) it takes to maintain individual lash extensions all year. So, when I have a "one off" event or just want to look pretty, I get the clusters. It takes about 20 minutes. They always look great, are ridiculously inexpensive & when I'm ready for them to come off, I just rub oil into them a few times a day until they slide off. (I think they will actually remove them for you, but I've never had to use that service.). Much less (if any) damage than the super expensive, individual lashes. (Not to mention- I am a nightmare of a lash client. My eyes always water, and I have a hard time sitting still. Everyone is always so patient with me! I'd have fired myself as a client years ago!) Must also address: I saw some reviews commenting on lack of safety & Covid protocols. I've been a customer for 2 years. I go there at all different days & times, depending on my work schedule. I've never seen anything but very safe & very clean practices. I don't review often- but as I'm planning my next "eyelash experience" this weekend... She mapped my brows, did some color matching, and talked about expectations the day of the appointment. I felt very well-informed and comfortable in her hands and with Boss Gal in general. My appointment was the following week and it went as smooth as expected. And speaking of expectations Kayla provided me with an overview of what the next week or two would look like from the appearance of my brows to the healing process and everything else. On day two they were super dark, but as she advised they would soften over time and they did! Four weeks later was a touch-up and it was exactly what I needed. I asked a colleague of mine for recommendations and she said without hesitation to go see Nisha as she's quick and does a good job. Lucky for me while browsing Groupon I found a great deal on eyebrow threading at Nisha's brow bar (50% off). Eyebrows are normally $10 which is not a bad price! I went today after work to an empty salon and was greeted immediately by Nisha. She asked what services I came in for and asked if I was familiar with threading, which of course I was so there wasn't a whole lot of explaining to do. She asked if I wanted to clean up my brows or wanted to reshape them. After a quick chat to set the stage that I just wanted a clean up of my brows and maintaining the shape, she pointed me to a seat and it was time to hope that I came out with two nice, cleaned up, and even eyebrows. Nisha was super quick and while threading can be painful, her technique minimized the pain as much as possible. In a few minutes she was like you're all done and handed me the mirror to take a look. I was pleasantly surprised that my eyebrows were cleaned up just the way I wanted them. They were even and not taken down too thin and were not super rounded in shape. I suggest you do! I didn't select this Columbus area Benefit Brow Bar for any reason other than it is closest to my house and I don't love Ulta (a different review for a different time). This one is located at the Benefit Cosmetics counter in Macy's. I did a walk in and was told to come back in an hour. They were having an event and asked if I wanted them to do a mini makeover. I said "No Thanks" and went and shopped. I came back a little less than an hour later, was told to wait 15 more minutes, and when I came back, the brow artist was just finishing up a client. The longish wait explains my docking 1 star...luckily there's lots to do in Easton to entertain yourself. My brow artist, at least that is what I'm calling the person who makes art out of eyebrows, was Hillary, who apologized for the long wait and had me sit on a regular bar stool type thing. The stool is a source of some awkwardness, in that you have to spread your legs for the brow artist to access your face. She noticed I don't fill in my brows, I mentioned that I'd like to learn and she patiently taught me how to shape and fill in my brows using the Benefit products, asked if I liked the shape and if it was something I thought I could maintain, then said she was going to remove all the hair not included in the shape. You can indicate whether you want a tweeze or a wax. She also offered to do my lip--which I declined--stunned. (Sweet Mother of Pearl I hope I don't need a lip wax. Since when do I need a lip wax? I'm not lettin' wax near my lip until I look like Borat.) ANYWAYS, Waxing really irritates my skin and she said she didn't have a lot to remove, so I chose a tweeze even though it was 2 or 3 dollars more than wax. There was no pressure, Hillary didn't seem to care one way or the other. Hillary then really, really quickly and painlessly removed all the unshapely hair and smoothed out my brows with a brow comb or a spoolie or something. She had me check in a hand mirror multiple times during my visit so I could see what was going on. It's not a "spa" experience, it's like getting a makeover or a haircut. We chatted most of the time, and she did try to sell me Benefit products, their new skin care line was just released, and I felt under the gun, but once I said "no thanks" the pressure was off re: skin care. Though, there was enormous pressure to buy the brow product kit. When I finally saw my finished brows in the mirror I thought they looked really really dark and scary. Like Cruella DeVil. I was actually a little sad. I even said, "Wow, they look so dark." Hillary said "I know, I know, it takes some getting used to." I was thinking "Yeah Yeah whatever." I bought the Brows-a-go-go kit (fully expecting to return it later) paid for my service, made my next appointment (which I intended to cancel) and left. There was an option for a cash tip but I didn't have cash and I was feeling a little bad about buying the darn brow kit so I didn't run to an ATM or anything. Then, I went out to my car and saw myself in my visor mirror while I was putting lip gloss on (still parked). Honestly, I was stunned. I still can't believe how different my face looks. I think it looks like I got an eye lift. I love it. Now, I have every intention of keeping up the look with my Brows-a-go-go kit and keeping my appointment with Hillary. Moral of the story: If you have shapeless, sparse, or otherwise unfortunate brows, find yourself a Benefit Brow Bar.

Despite being well within this timeframe, I was informed by two front desk staff members that my wax specialist had decided not to take me back and that I would need to reschedule. This was presented to me as a discretionary decision rather than a policy-based one. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location, which suggests a recurring disregard for corporate policy rather than an isolated misunderstanding. Incident 2 - Closure Without Proper Notice (12/22/25) On December 22, 2025, I arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find the salon completely unattended. The doors were locked, and no staff were present. A handwritten note was posted stating that the salon was closed due to a fire, along with a non-working phone number. There was no advance notification, no follow-up communication, and no legitimate way to verify or address the situation at the time. This lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is unacceptable for a national brand. Ongoing Pattern of Poor Management The Easton location has developed a notoriously poor reputation for this type of conduct, impacting numerous customers--not just myself. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work.
