Immediately after, I knew I would have to get mine tattoo/tinted because how good it looked. I was very hesitant on where to go because this is permanent, and its on my face.. FINALLY after looking for the right person, I found Robyn at Ink & Arch, and I am SO glad I did. Robyns work is so beyond what this review can describe. From the moment I walked into her studio I felt like I made the right decision. She took her time penciling out my lip line before she got started tattooing. The lining was clean and accurate, she checked in with me the whole time to make sure how I felt about it. She did great penciling out my lips so I trusted her to proceed. We looked at colors, which she has very many of and I chose a pinkish/light red color (mixed two colors together) After the tattoo processing began, I was nervous naturally and of course it hurt just a bit but this is all expected. Robyn checked on me throughout the whole appointment to make sure I was ok! Upon completion, Robyn pulled up a mirror to my lips, I was in complete shock-- I absolutely LOVED my lips, the lining was FLAWLESS. I honestly couldn't believe how great my lips looked. The best feeling is waking up in the morning and looking lively because of my lips. I have received tons of compliments on my lips, sometimes I want to play it off like its my natural lip but I cannot because that means I wouldn't be able to rave about Robyn work. If you have the slightest inclining that you want to do it, just book, she will not disappoint! Ps- PRIOR to my appointment with Robyn, I was planning on getting fillers after my lips healed from the tattoo. I no longer needed to do that because the color added so much fullness and boldness to my lips so I decided to skip out on the fillers. I am so happy with my decision! First Sylvia asked me what I wanted! Then she washed my hair, put conditioner, brushed out my very long hair, and gave a very tidy cut. I think I look professional for work and cute. True confession: I had chopped off my own bangs - but Sylvia fixed it and my hair looks great. They also do eyebrow threading and waxing, and I don't know what else. I have to mention that Maxi Hair is very kid-friendly. They have the cutest kiddie chairs that look like fire engines and they go beep beep! So fun. I had a single nail with acrylic overlap from a previous shop because my nail broke at a weird angle. Instead of soaking it off or filing it out, she was trying to pop it off. That's incredibly damaging to the nail. Thankfully it was hard to take off and she soaked it. My natural nails were slightly past my fingertips and they made me cut them. I guess there's risk of lifting. I haven't had this be a concern at past shops. It made me pretty sad having them cut super short. On top of that she didn't clean them up with the nail filer. They were cut and left jagged. The tips are crooked. Not sure if they were glued on at an angle. But some of nails look like too much was taken off the left side. So they look angled to one side. I did point it out to her and I think she misunderstood me. I just wanted them to look straight. I can also tell the acrylic is not evenly distributed on the nail bed. She didn't smooth out the acrylic to the edge of the nail. My cuticles were not cleaned up or moisturized at the end. I could tell the lady was annoyed because I did point out stuff I didn't like. Manners or customer service need improvement. Most importantly how the customer hands are handled.
