I stopped into MehndiNeo as a walk-in just after they opened at noon to find out about the eyebrow threading service. I have had my brows waxed but never threaded, and I thought I would try something new since this is a convenient location...and since it was $5 off the first service! My artist was Amita, and she was very helpful in explaining how it works (yes, they just use a real spool of thread) and guiding me how to stretch the skin around my brows (difficult for me as I am not particularly spatially oriented, but we made it work! Yay!) It took less than ten minutes and does feel different than waxing; whereas waxing is one big rip, this is a bunch of little pinches. One of my eyes really wanted to water up but aside from that I was fine. She applied aloe vera gel afterwards to soothe the skin. Overall, glad I tried this service! I have been here 4 times now and up until the last visit, I was very satisfied. The last time, however, was disastrous. I had eyebrow threading and henna done and the next day, my eyebrows started itching very badly. Then I noticed that I had oozing which then hardened in my eyebrows. The next day, my right eye was totally swollen shut and my eyebrows continued to itch badly. It is almost a week later now and the skin around the eyebrows are still beet red. Even though the last service was half price, I will not be back. I can't risk this happening again. read more

Recently moved to area, have been looking for a threading place close to my home. I thought Id won the lottery here! But, man, this is not the place for me. There's a sign in the window that says "first time clients get one free service." Then when paying, they say what they really mean is it must be "the first time you've *ever* been threaded," not a "first time client" there!! Really??
