Came here on 5/25/2019 around 9:55am. 5 minutes before they opened at 10am. There was a party of 3 that was there before me so obviously they would be first. By 10:30ish the party of 3 finished and I was to be next NO, the person that just walked in was attended because "she had an appointment" okay... I can respect that. By 10:55 I was already annoyed. We were all to see jeanna (I think that's her name) I remember it started with a J. I put my things away as the lady paid for her service and Jeanna came to me and said "hi I'm sorry but the person next to you has an appointment too, I'm going to do her eyebrows really quick and you'll be next I promise." I stressed to her I was here when they first opened and that wasn't okay. I get people have appointments but you can't make ONE person wait over an hour! I was extremely upset and this could of been easily resolved and I would of been out! If this is more of an appointment base business then please state a sign somewhere. I was extremely disappointed because I was there once they opened and I was never acknowledged only when they would apologize that I was not going to be seen because the next person had an appointment. So if you plan on coming here don't do a walk in because you won't be seen unless you want to wait more than hour. I'll take my business to Samera on state college. read more

Was looking for a great threading studio after moving here from the Gateway Cities area, where Ziba 'rules', and got lucky on my first shot (thanks to searching Yelp first, of course). I've gotten my brows threaded by a few artists at this Brow Mantra location now, and all seem to do a careful job and take their time, if necessary (brow threading is definitely something not to be rushed). Also, since I'm a guy, I generally prefer a slightly thicker brow and something more 'cleaned', rather than super-shaped, and they were easily able to accommodate this every time. An added bonus, as a couple of other posters mentioned, is that they massage this nice soothing gel under your brows and onto the temples afterwards. Also, Cortney's tip in her review is spot-on: if you're going south on Harbor, use the turn in right before the Pep Boys, as the one that appears nearer the studio won't actually allow left turns. Sara completed butchered my left eyebrow I look like I'm extremely excited from one side. She left my eyebrows uneven . I'm so disappointed because I told her exactly what I wanted a trim and clean and leave my shape alone . I also let her know that I recently had someone mess up my eyes and was worried and she acted like she would only do what I asked and didn't . I'm in tears it's safe to say I won't be returning . I did call to let the receptionist know about my issue and she didn't even say sorry that my eyebrows were ruined. read more

**Update, first review got removed for some reason. Brow Mantra is THE place I go to get my eyebrows threaded. However, out of personal experience, I ONLY go to Gita. I refuse to have my eyebrows done by anyone else because last time I walked out with uneven eyebrows!! In fact, as soon as I get back from my trip, I'll schedule an appointment with Gita because my eyebrows got a little messy from being away. The establishment Brow Mantra is decent, however, Gita is excellent. It's $9 dollars for eyebrows, and I always tip Gita 1-2 $. There's also a little refreshment vendor in the place if you get thirsty while waiting, and they also sell little decorations and jewelry on the side-counter. read more

I paid my first visit to Brow Mantra today, after discovering through Yelp research. I'm a relative newbie to threading, having only visited Ziba a couple of times. Brow Mantra is so much better in every way: price, service, friendly atmosphere and easy accessibility. I started out going to the Irvine location because it was down the street of my work at the time but about 3 1/2 years ago, I started going to this Fullerton location. I made an appointment for 3 and they took me at 3 and were apologizing for not being able to take me because I'd walked in about 10 minutes early. I had Sara(h) and she did a really, really great job on my eyebrows. I wax my upper lip... and they use cold wax strips. Not a fan of them and cleaned up a little with tweezers, but that's not horrific since they advertise themselves as a threading place. The door was kept open the entire time and it was a decently warm day (and it didn't feel like they had the a/c on or working), so there were a few flies around which were pretty irritating, and a nuisance to brush off while I was trying to hold my eyebrow tight. All in all... great job on the eyebrows and I'll definitely ask for Sara the next time, but the flies were gross. Close the door! read more

I use to go even before it was Brow mantra. I always saw Gita. She did a great job and always made sure to finish the sessions with rose water wipe down and aloe massage to help from any threading irritation. She is honest and helpful. Very nice and you know your in good hands. Sometimes, if my eyebrows got too thin, because I'm a freak and I use to go in more than I needed to, Gita would ground me and say "you can't come back until a month" or watever to give my brows time to grow back. I mean if it was any other business, they wouldn't care and just have you consistently coming back just so they can collect payment. But she was looking out for my brows! I appreciated the honesty. Anita is the owner and she is a VERY personable and a sweet person. When Anita was in, she made sure to say hello and ask about my husband, mother in law and just family/work life. It was easy talking to her. We were very cool. When Gita was done doing her thing, Anita would swing by my chair and see how my eybrows turned out and made sure I was happy with the outcome. That's very great customer service, right? I've had facials done and underarm waxes done and always were pleasant. They have a natural wax remedy that they made from sugar and honey. They tried it on me and it was cool. See if they still offer it! Ok. So I know I've typed nothing but great things up until now but here is the reason why I gave a 3 star instead of the 5. I use to be a regular at Brow Mantra. When you're a regular, sometimes you assume you deserve a little more service than others. I'm not saying they HAVE to do something special for me but here's my explanation. Whenever I made an appointment, whether I showed up early, on time or even 2 minutes late, I was kept waiting for more than 10 minutes. What would happen was, before my appointment time, Gita would start working on someone else; and usually that someone else took longer. Maybe because the girl was harrier than I am, I don't know but their visit always dragged past my appt time. I just figure that with them knowing that I take 10 minutes, they should know to wait until I'm done before seeing the other client. I guess it's a commen sense thing. Any way, I didn't appreciate that they would have me wait sometimes LONGER than 20 minutes when I was reserved for a certain time. After awhile, you wonder why you even need to make an appointment. But if you don't than you see someone you don't usually see or you wait longer for the one you want to see and in my case that was Gita. I value my time and when I'm done with work, I expect to be seen at my appt time and be done in time to head home or to whatever plans I have next. I didn't like that they didn't see THAT point? That It was rude to keep me waiting, especially for being a regular. I'm not saying Please treat me like a princess but you have to treat your long time clients with better care. I know how this works especially being in a customer service type of business. I recommend this place to those ppl who want great service but don't mind the wait. It's a fair price for what you are getting. If you don't have the patience to wait, than you need to look elsewhere. I miss Brow mantra But I will not go back because I need to stick to what I believe and I now see someone else who does a great job too and keeps my appt time. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE. I used to get my brows and upper lip waxed but then I discovered threading at this place and haven't looked back. They really know what they are doing. I will keep coming here. I also like how they have started giving out stamp cards where you get your thing stamped everytime you go in for a brow or lip wax. So I go here with my now husband before our wedding day to get rid of my mustache and to get rid of his unibrow. We made an appt but arrived a bit late, so we had to wait. I think the name of the guy that took care of me was Prince. He shaped my eyebrows and took off my mustache, just like I asked. I, however, really freaked out when I first saw what he did to my first eyebrow. It was way thinner than I usually have it and I thought it made my eyes look even smaller. He explained to me that he does this for a living and that he knows it looks good on my face. I was very weary but let him finish up with my other eyebrow. To be honest, I wasn't very comfortable with my thin eyebrows, but everyone I asked (I asked those who I knew would be honest/blunt with me) said that yes, they are thinner than normal, but they look nice. On the day of the wedding, the eyebrows worked. When I see the pictures, I know that Prince knew what he was doing. He told me that the old eyebrows made me look like a boy (don't think that's true, but it was funny when he said this) and now I look like a lady. Haaaha! I'm glad I trusted him and just let him do his thing. And I agree, those temple massages were GREAT. Also, it's very affordable. read more

Absolutely love this salon!!! and miss living close to it but It's so worth the hour drive just to get my eyebrows done! Everyone here is super friendly, ATTENTIVE, CLEAN and ACTUALLY LISTEN TO what YOU WANT versus what they think you should do. Honestly I tried several places closer to where I live now! But I've never been satisfied, it's so hard to find someone to listen and care and do what you want!!and I'm glad that Gita left. I tried a brow bar closeby to my new place but they only clean up my brow, and no one really shapes the brow like these ladies do. I'm from the Alhambra area but I will drive 30 minutes just to get my eyebrows threaded at Brow Mantra. Their performance and service is excellent, and they do your eyebrows in a reasonable amount of time. I've paid more for other places and have been less satisfied, but Brow Mantra is both good and inexpensive. I came here because it is close to where I live and I was sick and tired of getting my face waxed. As soon as I stepped in, I knew this place was different. I was greeted by their receptionist (?) and was asked what kind of service I needed and If I requested any particular "artist". I saw that Gita was very popular since there were about 5-7 ladies waiting for her on the list. Either way, I said I didn't care who threaded me and was given to Mary. Mary was nice and did a fabulous job on my brows and upper lip. I have gone twice now to her and she has been great. Although I do plan to try out the famous Gita one of these days. Definitely recommend. Super professional and way cheaper ($12 for eyebrows and upper lip) than most nail places. read more

Haven't had my entire face threaded before; it was a little painful, but the results are amazing. It is nice to walk out without having your face bright red or having left over bits of wax stuck ot the side of your head or intermingled with strands of your hair. It's been about two days, but I can already tell threading is going to last longer than waxing, and my skin is not irritated at all (this is coming from someone with nefariously oily/dry skin). I actually reside in SD, but might just find an excuse to visit my in-laws once a month just so I can request Mary to work on my face again! read more

I went here after seeing good reviews on yelp.l This place was clean and there was no wait. My eyeborws were horrible! They looked like grandpa caterpillar brows. I told the girl not too thin, but they were slightly a little thinner than I like. THe masage at the end was really nice. For the $9, it was totally worth it. I always go to Sara to thread my brows. She always leaves them flawless and knows my shape so she cleans them up very well.

This was my usual place to get my eyebrows done, but I will probably not return to this place anymore. I walked in to get a quick threading, and my usual lady was with another customer. The lady that worked on my eyebrows was threading so hard, that my skin swelled up in bumps and my eyebrows started bleeding. And for all the work that she was doing, she did a rush job, even though there was no one in line after me, and there were patches of hair still on the outside of my eyebrow line. She was nice when I complained about the swelling, but there was not much she could do. I'm very disappointed in the quality of work. read more
