One star is being very generous. I went to this place to get a waxing service, she was very thorough ensuring every hair was gone. She was rough, but I figured" not a problem, paying attention to detail. I left satisfied. That was until that evening, I felt some discomfort and the following morning woke up swollen and extremely bruised skin. Beware of this place. DO NOT GO HERE! Small salon. Friendly hostess greets you when you walk in. The threader I had didn't talk to me, just sat me down and started working. I told her I didn't want my brows too thin and she listened. It's cheap here so don't expect luxury service. Just the basics. But the short brow massage at the end was a nice touch. read more

Great place got my eyebrows threaded hear for the first here and they came out great. I will continue to go to this place. I previously was going to Sameera on Chapman Ave. but they WOULD just simply cleaning them and the process was a slower which meant it was more painful. This review is for Jeena. I just came here a few hours ago for my first Brazilian wax and she was amazing! She made me feel so comfortable right away. And for my first time.... It didn't hurt nearly as bad as I imagined. I don't know if she's magical or if it was my pain tolerance but I've definitely heard horror stories when it comes to first times. So I came here only because the place I usually go to is a bit far and I've had a busy schedule and badly needed my eyebrows threaded. I will not be coming back here again! I felt so awkward. Came in and waited for someone to be available, once I was next the lady took just a few minutes to thread my eyebrows. She tapped me on the shoulder and just stared at me. How am I supposed to know she's done? I felt like she half assed my eyebrows and just wanted me out. And so when I walked to the front desk to pay, she followed me and was just standing there starting at me. Of course I'm going to tip her, I just needed change. They obviously don't care about their customers and just want the money. I've never felt this uncomfortable when paying. I won't be coming back here again for sure. read more

My fiancée and I stopped by as a last minute thing. This place is quite a bit closer and slightly cheaper than the place we normally go, which is very nice. The staff is friendly, but we both felt like they could have done a better job with the hair removal. My fiancée thought her eyebrows were a bit uneven, which I didn't really notice until she said something about it and had me study them. My eyebrows were reasonably symmetrical, but there were lots of stray hairs that I had to go back and pluck with tweezers. They did come out pretty natural looking, which was nice, but I feel like I should not have had to do the touch-up work. read more

My brows. They have led me on all sorts of adventures and misadventures. I have them to thank for the many miles of asphalt I have travelled and the new places I've discovered along the way. So, thank you to my brows. I know we have many more places to discover, and it will be all because of you. My brows led me here to Brow Mantra in Fullerton. I moved about 6 months ago from the San Gabriel/San Marino area and was looking for something closer to me, rather than my former haunt in Culver City. Yes, that used to be a long drive! So now, when traffic is good and I am driving liking a maniac anyway, I can get to my new appointed brow haven in about 25 minutes rather than my past 1 plus hour of traffic into Culver City. Because my brows are naturally large and bushy...and because they have different patterns of growth, which make it difficult for ordinary brow stylists to handle- I am VERY picky about who handles my brows. When I find HER, I stick to her like glue. If she's not in, I won't be in. First, I went through my rules of finding a good brow stylist. Indian or Middle Eastern? Yes. A few good reviews? Yes. A few pictures? Yes. Comments about natural shaping? Yes. Off I was to Fullerton. The very first person who styled my brows was Jeena. I loved it and I have not had another stylist. Already I worry about what will happen if she moves or I move. I dread the thought. But Jeena is great. Not only kind and accomodating but attentive to what you want. Hey look, if you say you want half your brows removed, she will tell you, you won't look good, but will leave it to you to decide. I like naturally arched brows, not too thin, and definitely not bushy. She has done a great job of making my brows both look great, while one of them recovered from a missing patch of hair. She made them look synchronous, until finally they are perfectly matched. She has warned me when I say I want a little thinner. And looking back at pictures, I can only say how fantastic my brows make me look. Thanks to Jeena (Gina?) and Brow Mantra. Love them! And they've got great jewelry there too! read more

I'm really happy with the threading they do here. I've gotten a couple different girls and they both left me with even, perfectly-groomed brows every time. I was also pleasantly surprised with the little mini-brow massage they do afterward since I find threading to be really painful. They're not as cheap as the nearby Sameera, but I find the price more than worth it because they actually take their time with you to make sure you are comfortable and happy with the results. read more

I went in there with funky grown out brows that i had let grow out hoping that someone can create that perfect brow shape that i yearned for. And Mary was my savior....She is great. I told her to be patient since i had so much brows at that time and not to kill me slowly.. she did a great job and yes it hurt like crap..but that's the fault of my genetics of being over hairy as i call it. I have been getting my eyebrow/forehead threaded for years and my experience here is one of the worse. My only complaint is that they dont wash their hands in between clients. You're suppose to sanitize your hands to prevent infection and spread of disease. I dont even see a sanitizer bottle at their station. Hmmmm.. bad bad bad. They used some kind of toner/oil to massage the threaded area after. A few days later, i BROKE out. I had never ever break out before from threading. This was by far the worse... I reminded me of acne in high school! Either it was the sanitation, or use of toner/oil that made me broke out. It was pretty bad. I was very disappointed. Other than that, they sell random jewelries, and their waiting area is pretty clean. But their work station i highly doubt! read more
