I did not check the reviews before stopping in and I regret it. My mom & I went in to get our brows done, there were 2 ladies working when we went in, no customers in sight. We got our brows done by different people and neither of us were impressed with the work they did. My issue is I don't want my eyebrows thinned out, I usually opt for threading for cleaning only and sometimes with cleaning they take too much off trying to match the sides evenly even though I make them aware of the situation of missing part of the left brow. When they show me after I kind of feel like I have to accept it because I don't want them to mess up my brows more. Not a good feeling. My mom's brows are thinner and hers still looked a mess afterwards and they messed up the shape of her right brow a bit by making it too thin. Overall not impressed with the work. It was like $17/ea ( not incl. tip). For sure only opt for the brow studios with the lines out the door, worth the wait. read more

I am in shock. I have been going here for over 11 years. I am there every month for full face threading. Price has been rather steady over the years $40 + tip. Today.....$55. On the pricing board, the new price was added on a torn piece of paper. That is over a 30% increase. Seriously???!! I'm literally so disappointed. I drove to this location from St. Paul bc they usually do a good job. But after my terrible experience and price increase ($14-$15) it's safe to say I won't be making the trek anymore. It seemed like my girl rushed since they were closing soon (I was the only one in there w 30 minutes til close, so not an excuse). As someone who sucks at drawing/maintaining her eyebrows I learned to love threading because of this place and prefer this over waxing any day! It's simple, quick, and pretty painless (I always cry because I'm sensitive but it's not bad). This location is conveniently located inside Rosedale Mall (2nd floor near JC Penny), the staff are nice and some usually ask what you think but I can definitely see that overtime the service has went down and it varies staff by staff on how your brows will end up looking like. The price also went up, when I first started going here it was $12, now it is $16. But I like to think it helps with paying the staff better. This place used to be the best! It's alright now, still a 4/5 but something has changed. I've gone here for over 3 years and had the same woman thread my eyebrows. All of a sudden she says she's leaving to another location. Maybe management changed but I haven't seen most of the other threaders I saw around consistently the last 3 years... I think there's only one man working there now but he did my eyebrows yesterday. The woman who did them last month (who wasn't my regular threader) majorly messed them up and threaded them too short at the ends and didn't clean up the arch correctly. A decent threader should know how to give you a shape, especially if you verbally indicate what you do/don't want like I usually do. The man had a bit of an attitude when I told him that last time someone didn't listen to my requests but after we got over the awkward tiff he did a stellar job! He shaped them nicely, didn't take too much off and told me what I should do/not do before I come in next time. He might be a bit rude (although that was most likely a misunderstanding) but honestly I could care less if he takes these hairy babies to the heavens! I've been getting my brows threaded for a year and a half now, and absolutely refuse to go back to waxing. However, I've been struggling to find people in Minneapolis that do it. For a while, I was going to an awesome lady who worked out of her home, but she moved to Chicago. I also tried the place in Midtown global market that I had heard a lot of good things about, and was pretty disappointed. So, alas, I ended up venturing out to Brow Studio 7 to take a chance with a new person, again. My friend and I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a tad busy, but not terribly so. We waiting maybe 10 minutes or so before getting in, because there was only one woman working. I don't recall her name, but she ended up doing a really good job on both mine, and my friend's brows. She was quick and efficient, and it was very painless compared to some other experiences I've had. I really liked how sharp the lines turned out, and how defined my brows looked, after. The only downside, I think, is that there is no guarantee that you will see the same person every time you visit. So, it's hard to say if everyone will be as good. I'm planning to revisit to get them done again, next week. I'm hoping for a similar experience. Finally, a lot of people mentioned how "cold" or "unwelcoming" the employees here seemed, but I didn't notice that at all. Awesome! I have ridiculous thick eyebrows and always hated how quickly they grew back after a wax. And that most of the waxing places near me charge 16 bucks. So my friend recommended me Brow Studio 7- she's Greek and has the same eyebrow complaints as I do. And boy was I impressed! Not only was it cheap, at ten bucks, but it didn't hurt any more than waxing and was very quick. Another plus is that it grows in more slowly (I got mine done almost a month ago and am just beginning to see any growth) and, unlike waxing, you can go back as soon as you need, versus waiting until the hair had grown in long enough. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because you cannot trust every employee to do a good job and because the prices are ridiculously high. I am used to paying $10 for eyebrows at other places, not $16. I only trust Sidra and Harika at this location with not just my eyebrows (because the shape is critical part of eyebrow threading) but even for upper lip threading. Others seem to pluck and hurt me so much that I'm better off just tweezing them at home. But again, Sidra and Harika are worth 5/5 and know what they're doing! : ) read more

The ladies who run this place are quite rude and do a rushed job. They don't seem to value customer satisfaction. They keep chatting in their local language all the time while working on a guest or even if one is working and the other is idle. They just do a high level clean up and don't go deep to remove hair from the root, so the regrowth is fast. Neither do they clean up around the eyebrows or chin. If u ask them to do something more than what they did they are rude , they don't offer much, appear indifferent and act like they have done their job perfectlyThere are other ladies who work there and do a nice job! I told her that it's almost been 2 years since I have had my eyebrows threaded so it's probably going to hurt. She threaded my eyebrows quickly and they looked great! Amazing! And it was only $10. I love getting my browns done here. They always look fresh and fabulous, and they taught me how to use a powder to fill in my brows. At busy times be prepared to wait, but usually I get prompt service from a friendly professional. You do get gawked at by mall goers, but it's more secluded than other locations which are just a chair. read more

Since moving back to MN I had a hard time finding a place that did a great job on my eyebrows, til my best friend talked me into getting them done here. Of course I told her to go first since I was skeptical and she talked me into going here. She got her dones and I was amazed and how great they looked *they were pretty rough before* lol. During the process of getting them done she informed me that whoever did them last time messed them up *Maplewood location* she did a wonderful job amd shes the only person I will allow to do my eyebrows now. Second time going to this place.. both times it was quick.. you're in and out in 10 minutes, and I love that it's only $12 compared to every other place in Minneapolis that's $25-40. I'm not going to lie.. it's not the best quality in the world. They forgot some pretty obvious hairs and seemed to be in a rush because there were other people waiting, but they got the outline done which is what I needed help with, so I will continue to go back. The staff isn't friendly, they keep on conversing with each other even though threading other customers. When I sat on seat shown to me, the lady just started threading without even asking me the service I needed(whether cleaning or shaping etc). In my last few visits, I have been unsatisfied with the service , it seems they all are trainees and not gentle in doing it. I got scratches/cut while threading and they don't apologize. Too pricy ($14) for just a cleanup and they barely knows how to thread brows. read more

I have gone here previously and saw Hariku, well she is gone for 2 mo so I saw some one else. She did a horrible job, she did not know what she was doing, it was painful, I actually got a cut (not sure how); additionally she removed most of my brow. I was not happy. I expressed my opinion that she took off most of my brow and she said she "evened them out". I had pain for the rest of the day and am putting Neosporin on my cut. Horrible! Never again! read more

They seem to go pretty fast. It was my first time having my eyebrows threaded and it took about 3 minutes. Didn't hurt that much. But afterwards I noticed that they didn't get some hairs and my arches where uneven. Otherwise the price is great. And they did a pretty good job. read more

I always come here because they usually do a great job. However, it seems like every other time I come in they no longer offer tinting services. This time I waited for 15 minutes only to be told that they don't do tinting anymore. This would be less frustrating and avoidable if they had a receptionist or greeter there to welcome people and answer questions. I will be finding another brow studio. read more

I'd never had my brows threaded before and wasn't sure what to expect, especially from a mall store. I popped in on a Tuesday evening and didn't have to wait more than 3 minutes. The threading chair was pretty uncomfortable and made me arch my back in an unnatural way. The process is pretty quick though so it wasn't horrible. The threading was kinda painful, much more so than waxing but not more than tweezing. I was shocked at how well it worked though. They got my brows nice and clean, with a great shape in about 7 minutes. It's amazing how accurate they can be at such a speed. He offered to put some lotion on after to calm a bit of the redness but it had fragrance in it so I had to decline because I have sensitive skin. They were a bit red and sore afterwards but I didn't feel like a freak walking around the mall. At the end, it was just $12 and he explained that they did not expect a tip. They also have a rewards program and your 7th service is free. I didn't like the pain but it's definitely not painful on the wallet! read more

i never usually write reviews but i had to because my experience was so horrible. if i could give zero stars i would. i wish i never went to this place. right when i sat in the chair i specifically told the woman i did not want the shape of my brows to change & i did not want them thin at all. i looked in the mirror & not only are they super thin, but completely uneven & overly arched. i have the meanest eyebrows ever now. SO disappointing considering prior to this i grew my eyebrows out so they could be shaped perfectly. i guess now i have to be penciling in my entire eyebrow until they grow back... i seriously barely have eyebrows left & i used to have pretty nice brows until now. they are a night mirror. not only did my brows come out looking horrible, but the lady did not listen to my wishes & was not very polite at all. im so sad. read more

So, I will admit that I get my brows done from time to time. Most of the time, though, wax isn't strong enough for the thick hair of my brows, which leads to either a patchy job or repeated treatments, which starts to really hurt and leave my skin raw. I tried threading here for the first time a few days ago and it is significantly more effective and faster. The girl who did it was pretty good, but the studio itself is not very well managed. There was one person working even though there was a line of people waiting. The girl's trash can was over-flowing with thread and cotton balls. Literally. There was garbage all over the floor. I'm pretty sure it's a health code violation and a slip-hazard. She didn't even bother to sweep up or try to get her trash into the can. She also didn't wash her hands between clients, either, even after handling money, but I don't know if it wouldn't have done much good anyway because all of her fingers were bandaged. I guess maybe she's new and doesn't have the callouses? Also, they don't have a number system or anything, so people have to just remember who's next in line. In all, I think threading is a good way to get your brows done, but I wouldn't go back here until it gets some better management. read more

I've been going here for awhile, but lately one of the main girls has been rude. They asked me to sit in a chair and then short of yelling at me told me to move to the front chair. I had no idea she was talking to me because she was at the register with a customer. While she doing my eyebrows she kept turning my head forcefully instead of asking me to move my head in the direction she wanted.
