I've been to Browdoc twice already and I love it. He has a chair at a hair salon in Lithonia, exit 71 off i-20. His space is clean and bright, plus he makes sure that he sanitizes in between customers. The reason why I like Jeffrey (the Brow Doc) is because he takes the time to listen to your concerns about your eyebrows and makes sure that they meet your standards. My eyebrows are very uneven, one brow is thicker than the other and the other has a different arch. I have to remind myself that they are sisters, not twins. He makes sure that they are as symmetrical as I want them to be. He uses wax and razor to clean and shape your eyebrows. Five stars for Browdoc. Now if only he was closer to Midtown, I'd always have perfect eyebrows. read more

I usually get my brows threaded and tinted so I was a bit hesitant to spend the same amount without any tinting but the Yelp reviews and pictures prompted me to give him a shot. So glad I did! My brows looked amazing and framed my face perfectly. For about a week I didn't need any brow makeup whatsoever and just used my brow brush each morning and was good to go! (For context, I usually have to add makeup by the next day to fill in.) His booth is in a studio in Ellenwood, just a few minutes off the 675. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Before I even begin this review I have to state that for me - it's more difficult to trust someone with my eyebrows vs trusting someone with my hair. Having recently moved to the Atlanta area from California, I was in desperate need of getting my eyebrows arched. After looking at several businesses on Yelp and Google, I came across the BrowDoc and was thoroughly impressed with the photos on Yelp, the company policy, the professionalism displayed on the website and of course the simplicity in booking everything online. I was looking for a place that does brow waxing near campus and saw the sign outside of Dobie. Honestly, this is my new favorite brow place. My brows look so good, waxing was pretty much painless, the guy who did it was so knowledgeable & nice and the place was clean & professional. Definitely would recommend and come back. Brow waxing are $10 for students. It's a bit hard to find but its downstairs below the food court in Dobie mall. read more

I have slightly thick eyebrows that grow long, so it takes a person with a lot of experience to arch and shape my brows. His work is amazing, and I must say there is hardly any discomfort. It's been a while since I got my brows done here but I still remember the experience as a very haunting one and had to share. I went in for a touch up, nothing too fancy, but I wanted my eyebrow shape to look more natural and less arched so I talked to the stylist about it. Once the process started, I could tell there was no going back. When I expressed concern about having thin and arched brows, I was told that it's a good style on latinas like me... what does that mean? I left with eyebrows that I had to hide for weeks. It was horrendous. The worst part was being told what style you should be happy with because of your race. I can't believe I'm being told I didn't go here. The comment about race was very subtle, yes, and perhaps I misunderstood it, but I am a real customer! Why on earth would I take time to lie about the experience? I am a UT student who went to get my eyebrows done about two years ago here when it was located downstairs at the dobie mall. I'm very offended that I'm being disregarded like this! I have little proof obviously but I still remember because I was told to download the app and everything for a discount, etc. I feel so attacked. :( not every customer will be happy with their experience and unfortunately that was the truth for me. I would suggest that even if the owner does not remember me that he would do well to at least acknowledge the possibility that he made a mistake. That experience may not be real to him but it was real to me. If I'm responding again it is because I'm being accused of trying to sabotage someone when I'm not. I was simply sharing my honest experience.I remember after all this time because it really was that bad for me. I remember crying so much that day because i'd have to wait for my eyebrows to grow back. I am by no means exaggerating or trying to sabotage anyone. I simply did not like my experience because my eyebrows were way too arched for my liking, and my disagreement was not acknowledged properly. Sometimes getting services from someone will mean that your stylist will disagree with what looks best on you, but as a customer, i think we have the right to bring an idea to the table of what we want to be happy even if that means the stylist's vision is different. I am sensitive to comments on race and ethnicity coming from anyone, and I think the subtle remark about me being latina was strange and irrelevant when I was just getting eyebrows done. I don't need people to guess my ethnicity or where I'm from or what race I may be just from looking at me. This applies everywhere. I don't need a stylist commenting on me being latina or white or brown or whatever... If I posted this negative review, it wasn't because I was angry or trying to attack the owner, or even because I was hoping for some sort of discount or apology. I just wanted to be honest about an experience I don't want anyone else to have. Looking at someone and just assuming their race or ethnicity isn't cool... ever. read more

Listen, I'm so used to my eyebrows getting done and them just being ok. There's was always something I wish the person did differently but this time I was extremely happy! I just moved to SA so I found the "BROWDOC" on yelp. I decided to give it a try since they opened pretty early and wasn't to far from my home. Jeffery was extremely knowledgeable about eye brows and explained to me that he has been doing eye brows for almost 2 decades which definitely made me more comfortable. Stopped in here on a lark on Friday, and I was impressed! Nice clean facility, friendly service, and great looking brows. It is on the bottom level of the Dobie shopping center next to a hair salon. They do not validate parking in the garage next door, so I recommend walking or street parking if you can. I walked in and no wait, but they take appointments too if you like to plan ahead. I think I have found my new home for brow waxing, and I'm so happy about it.
