Called to set up an appointment, he was in the area and asked would it be ok if he came today. I said that would actually be great. He came an hour and a half later, exactly the time he said he could be here after his previous job. He was very informative explaining things we should do and not do to keep our tank and drain fields healthy and functioning well. Very nice man. Price was very reasonable. The son, Derryk, who was super nice and friendly back in feb, before we moved in, was paid to inspect and suck out the super tank. I was there that day, got pics and even video of the "event". He said it all checked out ok but after we moved in, there was constant issues of the basement toilet not flushing right. I got a new toilet and the same thing happened. Then, while the husband was taking a shower and then i ran one load of clothes, i was downstairs and saw sewage water coming up and out of the shower and toilet onto the floor! I tried to reach them but it said mailbox was full. I verified the number and called again but no answer. So, in a panic and hurry, i called anyone that would come out. The workers today said that Derryk should have inspected both openings to the tank but he only looked in one side. If he had looked in the other, he would have seen this massive tree root(s) that grew around the inside in the square shape of the inside of the tank and partly blocking the pipe going in. I called Browns asking to at least give me a courtesy pump out as the father said the son should have checked both sides but didnt, but Derryk said no, that he will charge me. So, I called a more reliable company that i know to do it tomorrow (as today's crew doesnt sucks out tanks) so that we can see if all the roots are in fact out or if there is wall damage or not. Shame on Browns for not standing behind their work. They got my money, and wanted more instead of doing the right thing. I will post pics above, after this post. read more

We had a complete stoppage of our system. We called Brown and Son and they came out very quickly. They cleared the stoppage and tracked down the cause to a bad section of pipe between our house and the septic tank. The came back and replaced the section of pipe in a timely manner. We were pleased with the work and the cost was reasonable. They even covered the bare dirt where they replaced the pipe with grass seed and straw so that mud would not get tracked into the house. I called Brown and Son on a Tuesday and made an appointment for them to come out on Friday at 9:30 am. They showed up on time located the septic clean out and were careful to put the dirt on a piece of cardboard that i provided, so that the yard could be cleaned up quickly. He did the work and looked over the system and charged a reasonable rate. read more

I would never do business with this company again! Derek, whom I spoke to one the phone, was very courteous, prompt, and eager to help. He explained he would be sending his father out the next day to pump my septic tank. The father arrived right on time and seemed very knowledgeable at his job. He did the job that was asked of him, but complained and gripped the entire time as to why we didn't already have the lid to the tank dug out for him. His "time is very important and time is money." And before I could walk away feeling utterly disrespected in my own home he went on to chastise "the parents of today" and how "lazy" we are and how lazy our children are. All the while bragging about how great and hard working his children are. He continued on to complain about how he hates to work with real estate property companies because he feels they don't have the best interest of the homeowners in mind. I don't need to hear him disrespect others while doing a job. The man was opinionated, bigoted, and misogynistic. After some research on the company I discovered they are not allowed to work in Fauquier County (don't know why) and I'm not surprised. This was one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences in my life. I don't care how good the work is if you treat your customers with blatant distespect. read more
