Shut it down!! We were sat down, ordered drinks then 15 minutes later told by another server that it's a 45 min wait for food. We ordered and waited 55 minutes. Noticing other tables that were there before us still hadn't received their order after over an hour. Suddenly, this guy comes out saying it's now TWO hours!? What? Supposedly two cooks walked out. The reviews prove there's not enough staff. This place should be shut down instead of wasting people's time! Greedy! read more

We wanted to check this spot out today. Business was opened but front door closed and locked. It was open as we walked out. Went in through the courtyard. Sat at the bar, we were going to order a beer. Bar tender asked if we had any questions? We asked if they had a hazy and she glassed over and didn't answer....they don't. I don't like to leave negative reviews but....after being seated, we waited 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. There were 6 occupied tables. She brought 3 waters and never brought the fourth for our fourth person. We finally went and got one at the bar. She took our order after being there 30 minutes. A man brought our order about 15 minutes later. The burgers and fries were under cooked. We had to ask for silverware and wait for it to be brought to us after we got our food. My wife and I ate there on a Saturday afternoon. We actually were looking for the Brown Bag on Sheldon, but it is gone. I am not going to go into detail but simply put, our food took over an hour (close to 1:20 minutes) to get our food, watched three other tables order after us and get served way before us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It actually was pretty quiet in there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My wife ordered a "very well done" burger and it came out medium. I ordered a well done, also came out medium. I could eat mine with effort but it certainly had a taste and texture I didn't enjoy. My wife couldn't even eat hers. Fries were good though, I gave her mine so she had something to eat. I think I would try it again, maybe. I miss the location on Sheldon. The food was good. But there are a several other place to grab a burger that I love. read more

Went with a large group of people and was told that they could not make separate tickets. They had to put at least four people on each ticket. Not that big of a deal, but then..... A friend ordered the "loaded fries" after asking the waitress if they were hot/spicy, as she cannot eat spicy food. The waitress assured her they were not. After a couple bites my friend returned them because the cheese was way too spicy for her. She then ordered the fish and chips. After a long wait for the replacement meal, she took one bite of the fish and discovered it was frozen in the middle. My friend sent that meal back as well and gave up on eating lunch. Parking in the area was a two hour limit and we were getting worried about receiving parking tickets as the service had been so slow. This restaurant is not capable of handling large groups efficiently. Other orders were messed up and had to be sent back for correction. On a better note, the grilled cheese I ordered was delicious. (But it's hard to mess up a grilled cheese). Maybe smaller tables of 2-4 people get better service, but I can't recommend this restaurant for a group larger than that. read more

Decided to try Brown bag's new location. It was busy, but there were several empty tables. We waited at the Madre de podium for about 10 minutes when a portly older gentleman came to seat us. We asked for a table near the window and the gentleman said he would have to clear and clean it first. We never saw him again and waited another 10 minutes before a younger gentleman cleaned and cleared the table. He then lead us to the table with menus. We never saw him again. We looked at the menu and were ready to order, but no one approached the table. We saw servers wondering around.....some busy some doing odd jobs. We desperately tried to get someone's attention, but after 15 minutes we walked out. The whole Madre de and server scene looked confused and disorderly. It appeared from conversations that we overheard that several orders were mixed up causing confusion. They have lost a customer and his wife who were going to order a meal and sample the various beers. Our previous food experiences have been good but if it's good service you're after go to the Palace restaurant around the corner. read more

Been here to dine-in 3 times since grand opening, hoping for the best that maybe the service was just poor because it was fairly new... all times were bad service. No improvement. Tried take out to see if maybe that would be the trick. Placed order at 5:18pm. Was supposed to be done at 5:33pm, it is now 6:18. Husband just walked out with food. ONE HOUR LATER. Was handed a lemonade (only because their soda machine was broken) as an "apology" courtesy... after my husband had asked several times, he was told a cook had walked out. My family and I just happened upon this restaurant during a walk through Whiskey row. We had looked at a few menus of a few places but something just didn't feel "this is the place", not even BBB. However, it was getting later, and the options were slimming this was the closest spot the food sounded average so we just rolled with it. As we were being seated after only a few minutes of waiting because they were a little understaffed this day, we could hear clearly the table behind us being very upset over a local discount being only 5% and wanting 15% instead; threatening to leave a bad review. The waitress/shift leader handled herself so well and gave them 50% their meal ticket. After, she came to our table with a great smile and an even greater attitude with the most professional. Reine (Ren) was incredibly polite, vibrant, attentive, engaging, and insanely grateful for the entire duration of our stay. Reine, Holly, and Cameron were just such a beautiful set of servers, the 3 of them took such great care of our food and our table of 5 and a quarter. The food was a delight, personally my burger was one of the best I have had; the buns are so light yet full and delicious, the salad was delicious the dressing was not overwhelming, and buffalo wings had an excellent cook. There was not a single complaint from our table, which is unusual as it is hard to please everyone. They had many options for beverages both adult and regular drinks. The menu had options but was not overwhelming. Overall our experience here was nothing short of above average. We would HIGHLY recommend grabbing a bite or a brew here. 12/10 would come back again, and again. I also just really cannot praise the service enough. There was also a young gentleman, that I regrettably did not acquire his name, who while we were waiting to be seated mixed a perfect temperature bottle of water for my daughter so that I could make her a bottle. He said it was too hot and first so he added cold water and thought it was a good temperature. It was perfect and his genuine tender care was so valuable and refreshing. REN and Buckey were amazing... they made sure I got fresh fries without even asking.. REN recommend the crack sauce for the fries... I also saw some burgers had a siracha mayo and was curious so she brought me a side..will definitely be back.. they also have a locals discount which is pretty cool since the square is a tourist place. My Mom said the rice bowl was very good and she was looking to get a bun-less burger so this was a nice addition to the menu read more

"Sorry, we have been busy" is not sufficient when a table of 4 has been left waiting without explanation for nearly an hour. By the time someone came to explain the situation in the kitchen, the ice cubes in our drinks had fully dissolved. A couple sitting next to our table waited over an hour for their food, and when it was finally brought, it was promptly left on the table with zero silverware, and incomplete items. The poor older gentleman was eating a salad with his hands. (The same happened to me, 20 minutes later with my own salad). No dressing. No fork. Saw the server for absolute second before she dashed away as quickly as possible. No refills. It was only after nearly an hour had passed where they finally informed us of "how busy they are." And at length, when they FINALLY brought us the WRONG FOOD, they completely omitted my four year old daughter's chicken tenders. At this point the manager was was supposed to have talked to us a half hour ago. It was nearly two hours altogether. Spare me the "you don't know what it's like to work in a restaurant" because I have managed two restaurants and work in inpatient medicine which is 10 times as stressful and demanding of strategic thinking and professional communication. What a train wreck. Service staff all look like deer in headlights. I've been to 100's of restaurants across the world. I've walked out maybe 4 times, but never after ordering food. Until now. Place was half full so sat at the bar. After seeing the interior, I thought I better make it easy so ordered a burger. Didn't matter. 30 minutes later after sitting in front of an empty wine glass a waitress came behind me and asked to pick up the glass. No "your order is coming? Another glass? ". The food, is great when it comes out warm. Service? Definitely lacking. When the food comes out fresh it is great but the waitress tend to be lacking and slow. I've been twice and both times the service has been poor. The first time we waited about 10 minutes before we even got drink ordered and they weren't really that busy. We went to the new location yesterday. We both ordered burgers. My wife ordered tater tots with hers and I had fries. One burger was the Hawaiian and it was asked to be no cheese or mayo and well done. We asked what sauce came on the burger and it was a glaze which she said was ok. When the burgers arrived, the burger I ordered (BLTCA) was on the plate with the tater tots and my wife's burger was with the fries (Mine). No big deal we just traded burgers. BUT, my wife's burger was not well done, there was NO glaze sauce of any kind and we were upcharged for the tater tots ($1.50). When ordered the waiter did not mention this....My burger was good, but the fries were tasteless. At no point were we asked if we wanted anything to drink. We were brought water with lemon (not requested). The attention to detail was terrible. Also, there was an odd smell in the restaurant...it could have been a cleaning solution? We used to eat here when it was Prescott Brewery. We were never disappointed. We probably won't be going back here again. read more

Let me start off by saying that we have been loyal to Brown Bag Burger before it was a brewery and in this new location. We used to go here when it was just a cute 50's-style diner in a shopping plaza. They were always solid burgers and chili fries. We decided to finally try the brewery because it seemed to have potential after being open for a couple months and finished working through their inevitable kinks of being a relatively re-branded business. Wow, we had an AWFUL experience. We were greeted by a host, who seemed nice enough. He seated us, and then he had to be the one to come back and take our order. There were at least two servers that were running around the dining room, but there were only like 3 other occupied tables in the entire dining room. Not very full or busy. We didn't think much of it at the time, but soon we saw the place easily crumble. He took our order and I asked to add bacon to my burger. I know he heard me because he made a joke about it (because I ordered a side salad). My wife and I ordered the burgers medium and medium-rare. The burgers came out fast, but upon picking up my burger, I noticed the bottom bun was absolutely ROCK HARD. Like fossilized. It was pretty much inedible. We dug into the burgers anyway because we saw zero wait staff around for a while and were starving. My burger patty was tasteless, not cooked to my liking, (it was very well-done), and it was just a crumbled mess because it was so dry. And no bacon like requested. We also ordered an appetizer and two chicken tacos. We did not see either of those until over 15 minutes after our burgers came out... we thought they just completely forgot about them for a while. My wife ate her chicken tacos and noticed that the red salsa that came with them tasted exactly like pizza sauce. I tasted it and had to agree with her. No one really came up to ask how our food was or if we needed anything for the rest of the meal. The server that was serving everyone else's tables was taking orders and dealing with her guests, but didn't even look our way. (This was after we already started eating because were so hungry, we did not have the opportunity to correct our order's mistakes.) And we never saw the host who seated us and took our orders ever again. Basically we just probably won't ever be back. It's such a shame because their burgers used to be so delicious and we wanted to stay loyal through their re-branding journey. We didn't even get to try the beer. Oh well. read more

Stopped in with our cranky 2 year old around 6pm - The staff was so amazing coming by and talking to our grumpy toddler. They made us feel so welcomed there. Service was phenomenal! Bartender stopped in to get apps and brought the kids some ice cream. Truly went above and beyond. We go out to eat a lot and this is one of the best experiences we've had with our kids in a while. We got the nachos and the bartender recommended we added carnitas and it was really good! My husband had the Amber and enjoyed it. Family friendly, great service, good food, Good beer. Well... I was pretty excited to try this place because I missed prescott brewing and had eaten brown bag burger when it was a small shop just around the corner and I liked it. If this is in fact the same business, they should have stuck with what was good. So the food was decent overall, I had the Cajun Burger which was pretty good overall, good flavor, everything seemed fresh, fries were good, they had a batter which was ok but I heard some people behind me asking the server why the fries were different so not sure how they usually are but they were ok. Buddy got a vegan burger and fried pickles, he liked the burger and the pickles were ok, a bit salty and had some type of cornmeal batter. So again, food not too bad... but they now claim to be a brewery. It was Saturday afternoon, they had no bartender working. It did not seem too busy in there however one server made it seem like he was overwhelmed. We were excited for beer...until we got it. Tried zeds dead, crazy 88, and something else. None of them were very good nor would I plan to go back there for beer, maybe if I just wanted to eat. Would probably be better if they just got some other local beer and served those. I've been to Lazy G a few times and the beer is much better and food is solid. Maybe my expectations were high but I was pretty hungry and thirsty so it should have been easy to hit both spots however I was left pretty disappointed on the thirsty part. read more
