We stopped in here for a quick bite between Sedona and Phoenix. The restaurant is in the bottom of the inn (hence the name) but has a beautifil view of the creek (also in the name:). The decor is "early Western farm" with saddles and saws and such. Our server Rose was top notch. She was quick without making you feel rushed, and was attentive even after our meal was in front of us (extra napkins? refill on the lemonade?) I had the BBQ which was delicious although the sauce was sweeter than I usually eat it. My companion had the ruben which was piled high with all the good stuff. I couldn't decide what to do about dessert (two kinds of cobbler??) so Rose to the rescue again and she gave us a half portion of each! After staying overnight at Arcosanti for the first time, we were thrilled to find the Cellar at Creekside nearby, about 15 minutes away. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. You enter and immediately turn left and walk down the stairs to then be seated by the host/hostess. We opted for a table by the window, for a view of the dry creek. We ordered the: CROQUETTES Lightly fried potato dumplings filled with sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onions & bacon, served with a creamy jalapeño dip. 10.99 The croquettes were so crispy but soft on the inside and PACKED with flavor. Paired very well with the jalapeño dip or sour cream dip also offered. We'd give this dish alone 5 stars. THE COPPER Prime rib & Swiss cheese on a 6" hoagie roll, with a side of au jus. 16.99 This was our least favorite of our foods, as we thought the au jus, which is obviously the main source of flavor, was not very flavorful. We'd give this dish alone 3 stars. BACON CHEESEBURGER 15.99 with a runny egg add on +$2.00 Though not specifically included on the list of burger add-ons, I'm grateful my request for a runny egg was accommodated. The burger's meat was so juicy and flavorful along with everything else in it. Very reasonably priced since it came with a side of fries and was huge. We'd give this dish alone 5 stars. This restaurant is interesting, as there's a courtyard in the back near the creek seemingly for weddings? I'm not very familiar with the area, but given the hexagonal archway and covered tent with a banquet table, I can only assume. There's also ample bungalows lining the perimeter of the property. Overall very delicious food with a cute getaway opportunity, just outside of Phoenix. I'd most definitely come back to try more items or get my beloved burger. read more

Stopped for lunch in a Sunday afternoon on our way home to Prescott. My husband and I both got salads, a chicken Caesar with avocado for me and a house salad with chicken for him. They were both large and certainly filling. Our server was Rose, she was awesome. Very sincerely friendly, and attentive. read more

What a gem! This is a really good restaurant. Our party had a Patty melt, burger, garden salad, macaroni and cheese, and pizza. All of the food and drinks were VERY fresh and perfectly prepared. The dining room is spacious, has a wonderful view (and large open outdoor area), and everything is very clean. Well decorated. Our waitress was wonderful - she did her job and conversation with her was very easy. It's very nice and comfortable - we had come from out of town on a work errand and this was a nice end to our day! We will remember this place, it's worth the drive from Verde Valley and would be fun with friends. read more

What an amazing gem! The people who run it are so nice and walked us around the little seating area. The restaurant and bar and really cool too and the outside area is beautiful. Honestly never have had a issue until tonight. I ordered the pretzel bites last time i ordered it i got a full container of nacho cheese sauce. Tonight i put a order to go. I got home and the sauce is maybe a third full. Not even enough to finish the pretzels. Pretty disappointing. read more

My kids had the pizza and the sauce tasted like it was Ragu from a can, not very good. My friend had the meatloaf and it wasn't very good either, they should add a veggie to the plate for $18. We've driven past this place a bunch of times. Today we decided to go there on the spur of the moment for an early dinner. Since it was a Sunday afternoon, there was no live music and it wasn't crowded, which suited us fine. NOTE FOR THOSE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES: When you enter the building, you must descend a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. Alternatively, you can walk down a fairly steep asphalt ramp on the east side of the building and enter through the restaurant's back door. There are no railings on the ramp. My husband had the "Copper": Prime rib and Swiss cheese on a 6" hoagie roll with a side of au jus ($16.99). The side he chose was onion rings with honey mustard sauce. I had the "Smoke Stack": Slow cooked BBQ pulled pork on a brioche bun with a side of pickles and extra BBQ sauce ($12.99). I chose a side salad with ranch dressing. Both were fresh and tasty. My husband said the onion rings were especially good, and he brought several home to eat with tomorrow night's leftovers. For dessert, my husband had cherry cobbler and I had a brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and both chocolate and caramel syrups. The brownie was enormous, and half of it came home for tomorrow night. The total with tax and tip was $70. The service was prompt and friendly. Also the view was beautiful (see photo). Omg! This was one of the worst meals I've had in recent memory. I ordered a chicken breast for 17 dollars. When it came it was so thin it was over cooked and dry. So she substituted a peice of meatloaf. The thing fell apart it was not even binding. My wife's burger was extremely dry. I'll not recommend this restaurant at all! Restaurant to located on the rear bottom half, prime rib was Ok, but came back a second time had a burger and pizza and both were delicious, drink are reasonably priced too! Me, my wife and my son decided to take a day trip. We stayed at the Creekside Inn. We had a really nice stay in our room and had a heart-shaped hot tub. For dinner, we decided to stay on site and eat at the restaurant located on the property. Boy, I am glad we did what a pleasant surprise! I had a house salad to start. It was made with mixed greens and candied walnuts that they make on site. It was really good. For dinner, my son and I had the rib eye with bake potato. It was amazing, completely surprised how good it was. My wife had a cheeseburger, and she said it was very good. For dessert, I had a peach cobbler withvanilla ice cream. It was not spectacular, but it was good. The ambiance of the place is kind of rustic lot of antiques all over. The service was good, not exceptional. The server was kind and attentative but very busy. Overall, I was really happy with the experience. The meal was great. Our stay at the hotel was a really good time. They also have a bar on property with a pool table. We couldn't avail ourselves of that since we had our son maybe next time. We will definitely plan to go back. I would recommend stopping in if you're in the area. It's near Prescott and Cottonwood, so there are lots of lakes and hikes, horseback riding lots of stuff to do in nature. read more

The service here was great!! We stumbled in late on our way from Phoenix to Prescott. The place was packed on a Saturday due to the live music so there was a short wait, but the hostess was very accommodating for us with our four year old. Let us sit in the bar area which really wasn't used as such. Had a pool table and tv. She brought our hungry 4 year old crayons and coloring book as well as a glass of chocolate milk. The atmosphere was great! A little loud due to the live music, but other than that no complaints. Service was very attentive. The food was very delicious! Burger was cooked to perfection and the best I've had since in Arizona! (The one with the green chiles on it) The kids hot dog was ginormous!! The wife had a sandwich of some kind that was very good. We both had side salads that were over the top with garnishes. (Pickled beets, tomatoes, croutons, onion, cucumbers, cheese, and candies walnuts)!!!
