Of course, ice cream is the most popular item. They also have many flavors of slushies. I like this place on a hot day. It can get ridiculously busy in the middle of the summer. The locals go here because there's not that many places to go to. People visiting the area need somewhere to get ice cream. When you put both of these factors together, you get a busy experience. Big portions are what everyone talks about. They put more than physics should allow inside their cones, so if you're getting ice cream, then you should come hungry. A slushie is a good alternative. It's easier to carry around than a cone that's overflowing. The last time we came we each got a watermelon slushie. It's $1.75 for a medium. This was the most refreshing. It also has a menu of hot food Most things are greasy like fries. This is a must stop for a frozen item though. read more

Old school ice cream place that always has a line -but that is how you know it is good. When the peaches are in - the sundaes there are so special. The Sunday's were excellent. Just the right ratio of strawberries to ice cream and the Coney dog was perfect. The Chili was thick enough to stay on the dog for every bite. This little gem of an ice cream shop was the perfect end to our day! There are so many amazing choices! The hand dipped ice cream was DELICIOUS! It's hard not to love Brown's Dairy Dock. Although now closed for the season and opening in the spring with new owners, the tradition of the best strawberry sundaes and peach sundaes will continue. Not to mention the orange/vanilla creamsickle ice cream twist cones! This year because of covid they had a limited menu, and yet it was still delicious. Well marked and masked, long lines didn't seem so long and everyone seemed friendly. As a life long Marbleheader, I can't remember a time when Brown's wasn't wonderful. I look forward to it opening again late in the Spring to experience the new owners and of course, for the wonderful ice cream. read more

My family and I come here every time we visit the lake. I order a small sundae and am given a heaping cup of ice cream, almost as big as a pint. My mother got a small orange sherbet-vanilla swirl cone, and it's a half-foot in length. There's seating on both sides, some in the sun and plenty in the shade. That is hard to find these days, but this place has it! The staff even provided extra napkins and offered a cup to use if the drips became too messy.
