There's lots of options so it's a little overwhelming but this place can get super busy so you should have time to mull it over. There's tables outside as well. This Toft's Ice Cream Parlor is located inside Cedar Point near the front entrance. On an overcast afternoon, the place was empty with no lines and the staff was eager to serve. There are some rides inspired ice cream flavours or you can also opt for their classic. Price wise is reasonable for gourmet ice cream in an amusement park. There are seating both indoor and outdoor. FYI, if you time your visit perfectly, you might even able to have front row seats for the Planet Snoopy's Parade while enjoying your ice cream. read more

We came here for a second time... we enjoyed our first visit several weeks earlier. We are an hour drive away and this time brought all of our sons. Specifically, just to have an afternoon at East Harbor and your ice cream before the summer ended. Our first trip was so memorable with my youngest that we looked forward to making it a tradition. My husband and 2 older kids ordered/ finishing their ice cream order. As I was still deciding which I was sharing with my 5 year old, I remained at the ice cream bar. As I was the last of my group to decide, another group came in and ordered and went to register. Meanwhile as a small family of three was looking on. I asked for another sample, my third one and the lady told me that there is a two sample limit. As I looked back at her in disbelief she continued to stare back at me. So I asked if my eldest son had his sample limit that I'd take his. She responded that she's not sure, she wasn't counting and just stared at me. She finally said did you want me to get you one more sample and I said yes, as I was truly uncertain what I wanted to buy. I wasn't trying to be a sampler but buy and be happy with the flavor I'm sharing. She returned with what would be considered a seriously small baby bite, a flick of ice cream. It was not the portion, but the whole attitude. It was the words and her stare that was not appropriate in a happy ice cream parlor. I walked to the register and said that I wasn't getting anything and couldn't believe how this lady just treated me, I lost any interest in even eating ice cream here. My husband paid and I asked the older man at the register if infact there is a sample limit. He replied ahhh, yes if there is a line. And I responded that I would happily waited. I couldn't believe the rude worker. I have no desire to eat any ice cream or return here based on the attitude of the workers. Sadly, this place was somewhat exciting to drive to after a family beach day. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. It was cringey, rude and left a bad taste in my mouth. Sadly, a thumbs down... so much so that I'm actually writing a review. That of which, I don't normally do. My oldest son said her name was Jennifer. For the record, of there is a 2 sample limit- then post it. But clearly it's not the rule of thumb but one of herding to the register. And it's contingent on if the line is vacant. Customer service is relational. Secondly, if your business is concerned with a sample limit then take them from adults not a happy 5 yo asking for flavors and you give them even without parental consent. I've worked in customer service for many years, and it was a huge turn off. Set better training standards... like try smiling. Real customer service that's positive and excels doesn't drop the ball in a moment of a very, very, small pre-dinner time rush. read more

I gave it three stars, but consider this like a 3.5 star review. My daughter and I wanted some ice cream after a not so good experience at Bay Harbor...so we walked back into the park looking for Toft's. There was a line of about 10 people, and the park was closing in about 20 minutes, so we hopped in the line. My daughter decided she wanted a strawberry shake, and I was going to go for a half chocolate half vanilla shake, quick & easy right? Well, when it was my turn at the counter, the strawberry shake order was understandable, but for whatever reason, the half chocolate half vanilla request caused some mild confusion and some looking around by the woman who was helping me. I understand that the park employs people from around the world and I applaud this, but this was a case of a simple request becoming an issue, and it was frustrating. Thankfully, another worker was nearby helping another customer and he said he could do it once he was done with that customer. Yay! So in the interest of time, I went over to the register and paid for the two shakes, then waited and watched as they were being made. The only problem here is that it took another 15 minutes to get our shakes. They were being made one at a time. The strawberry one took 7 minutes to make, and then another 7 minutes for mine. Seems to be a bit long to make a shake. However, once they were done, they were darn delicious. I just didn't really like the initial experience and then having to wait so long. There seemed to be a bit of disorganization and some lack of efficiencies, but at the end of the day, the ice cream shakes were enjoyable. read more

let me start by saying i love cedar point with all of my heart. i also love tofts ice cream. it tastes delicious and you get a lot for the price. however, the service i experienced today was incredibly slow. the people scooping ice cream were scooping at snail speed and then dropped my sisters ice cream on the floor and had to scoop it all again and at that point i was so annoyed with their speed and clumsiness that i just wanted to leave. this place would get a 5 star if it weren't for the terrible customer service. i will still come back but this was so incredibly annoying and put my sister and i in such terrible moods for the rest of the day. read more

Lines were long during peak times but that's expected and true of any other place. I'd be worried if it wasn't lol. But I went at about 4:30 and only had to wait about 10 minutes. This was a fun stop on a long trip. Toft's dairy is the large building here and at the front is the small ice cream parlor with lots of fun photo ops and many covered picnic tables. We came in at a very slow weekday hour and were the only customers, so we were treated to great service from a friendly staff member. He chatted with us but wasn't too pushy at all. The prices seemed a little bit high to me but the portions were huge, my "kids cup" was what I'd call an overflowing XL scoop (for an adult portion) and that made the price seem more than fair. My lemon blueberry cheesecake choice was good, but a little too lemony, almost like disinfectant...I can't lie though, I enjoyed every bite. My husband tried two flavors, loving the Mackinaw fudge flavor yet not sold completely on the black walnut (but he's spoiled by a place local to us that has the best black walnut we've found). Overall, Toft's was very good, and with the old school decorations and original wooden seats for enjoying our ice cream, we would have liked visiting this place even if they didn't serve ice cream at all. read more
