"I want a love that's right But right is only half of what's wrong I want a short haired girl Who sometimes wears it twice as long Now I'm stepping out this old brown shoe Baby, I'm in love with you" (George Harrison) Brown's Harvest is so huge, I always thought it was an oversized farm-stand, with fruits and vegetables and refrigerated cases everywhere for your shopping pleasure. But that's not the case. It's more like an event venue hosting a variety of activities like a corn maze, cutting your own sunflowers, berry and pumpkin picking, hayrides, and birthday parties. We stopped in today and walked around the store that had expensive and pretty limited selections. I saw jars of pickled vegetables, jams, jellies, pickles, relishes, and a $9 jar of salsa for example. We also saw quite a few flower baskets and pots that were gorgeous There was an outside sales booth selling bunches of asparagus on the honor system for $8 a bunch. I ended up buying an $8 jar of Bacon Bavarian Sauerkraut for hot dog night! Well, at least I satisfied my curiosity about Brown's.

So many activities for the family. A hayride and can do a haunted one at night, a corn maze, and a family play area with a gigantic trampoline. For the adults there are many decorative gardens with sculptures. There was a small vendor fair of local goods. A local musician was playing in the background. There is a fabulous story on signs in the children play area-that the families can read together that teaches the lessons of recognizing bullying, saying thank you to others, recognizing the differences of others and who can help someone if and when needed!

Came here for a team building event! Employees were super nice and helpful. We did the hayride through the woods, a corn maze and had cider and donuts. The hayride was pretty quick but it was refreshing and peaceful to ride through the woods in beautiful weather. There was paintings and dream catchers in the woods so it was like a moving scavenger hunt. The corn field was pretty basic, there was only 4 stations for information so it went quick. They gave us samples of the cider and donuts. They were pretty good! No complaints. The cider was smooth and sweet. I like mine a bit bitter but it was good for being sweet. They sell all the "fall things" and have a cute tiny market inside where there's more merchandise you can buy. I bought honey sticks (they had berry flavors so that was interesting and unique) and I also bought cherry syrup! Looking forward to that!

Cute little farm. I stopped by to cut my own sunflowers. They will supply you with scissors and you can walk through the sunflower field and cut your own stems at $2 each. They have many kid friendly events and play areas. The farm stand sells corn and produce.

We had a great time at the flashlight corn maze here this year! My husband and I got lost a few times cause the maze and map and our eyes tricked us it was pretty funny! LOL I plan to come back every year if we can it was a blast together!

Attended the Sunflower Fest yesterday at Brown's Harvest and it was fun but extremely overpriced for what is included. I'm all about supporting small businesses and farms but this was just too expensive. I would have given three or four stars if the price was more reasonable. The price point will leave out a lot of families that just won't be able to afford it. It was $20 for each adult. If you didn't purchase a ticket in advance then it was $25 at the farm itself. Children were $10. $10 would have been a better price for everybody. The money included a very short hayride that took you to sunflower fields that to be honest, we're not that nice and there were barely any sunflowers. You got to cut one sunflower. That was what was included in the price. Each additional sunflower could be purchased for three dollars. So basically a hayride and one sunflower was $20-$25 for each adult and then if you wanted any more you could pay three dollars per stem. There were some pretty sculptures made of recycled material that were neat. And a few things to play on for the kids. One slide, a tire swing, a random tire track that looks like it was supposed to have bikes on it but it didn't, wooden horses you throw rings on. One of the News channel websites advertising what to do in town that weekend said there was going to be a bounce pad, but there was no bounce pad. I asked about it and they said not this early in the season but for fall they'd have it up. I don't know why they couldn't have their bounce pad out that would've helped with the cost at least thinking that the kids got to bounce. There were fun little water pumps and you can put a duck in, for sale of course, into the water pump track and pump the water to make your duck move and have races. Again that was an additional cost for the duck. There was a face painting booth which was extremely overpriced. It was $18 for just a few designs near my daughters eyes. I will show you the picture below for what $18 paid for and it rubbed off after a few hours.Killed some time on the weekend but too much money. Now the zinnia picking on the other hand was quite reasonable. You got to cut 12 zinnias for seven dollars. In hindsight I almost just wish we did the zinnias as you would have gotten to experience everything else for a much cheaper price and my daughter had fun cutting more flowers than just one sunflower.

We wanted to come here as a yearly tradition as a young family, in 2017 they let us take this picture for free and now you have to pay. We didn't pay for the other side cause our daughter was too young to enjoy it. We had wanted to do the hay ride with her this year but now we will look elsewhere cause when we tried To take a simple photo they demanded money!

Very disappointed that they closed off the kids area and some picture spots to those that want to pay $8 per person!

I'm not sure if it was a shift change or just timing, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it felt like we were left a bit on the side for a while. Nothing major, just something noticeable. Also, while the food is creative and well made, some items felt a bit pricey for the portion size (for example, a meatball serving), so value may depend on what you order. That said, it definitely wouldn't stop me from coming back. Good food, good beer selection, and overall a solid spot.

I would bring everyone there. When they opened the new location in Windsor , it was still great. It was a birthday outing type of thing. I went again last week, which was likely my final time. For the past few years, I've been giving it a pass... growing pains, maybe? But the food is not what it was. The succulent, juicy brisket that I used to dream of has been dry and cold for the last year or so (probably 3 or 4 visits). The burnt ends, which used to be as addictive, are now no longer made from brisket...but what seems to be cubed chuck...again, dry. Texas sausage and pulled pork are still ok, as are the sides. On top of that, they are always short staffed, and the staff that they do have is not helpful...not friendly.. Just a big NOT anymore. I haven't been to the Hartford or New Haven locations recently, but as far as Windsor is concerned, it will not be going back anytime soon. I don't mind paying the premium prices for quality food and service, but you are no longer premium. Please figure this out. My favorite place no longer exists.. and I really want it to return to the quality of the past.

Like any other supermarkets, you need to shop sales, although produce is usually fresh and sale prices very good. But, actually, this review is mainly regarding the lunchtime steam table. During weekdays, it's usually available from just prior to 11A until about 1:15 P. Pay by the pound ($9.99). Huge variety, including items like zucchini fries, eggplant fries, fried pickle chips, yada yada yada. Pot roast and roast turkey appear regularly, as do various style wings and tenders, a fish entree (or two), and an Italian entree. It got to the point earlier this year, that I was visiting several times a week. So, no lie, I actually gave up the Geissler's steam table FOR LENT, FOR CRIPES SAKE!!! It was difficult, but I managed to do it. Not sure if all 7 G's locations offer similar steam tables. Thankfully, Warehouse Point does. BTW, right after Lent ended, I think I got about a lb of food... 5 steamy stars

Greeted warmly, I placed my order for a Polish plate, consisting of Golobki (stuffed cabbage) a generous serving of kielbasa with sauerkraut, and three pierogi. Rye bread was served on the side. Let me tell you, the reason why I said it was like going to my mother's house was this place is culture at its finest for the Polish heritage I absolutely loved the Kielbasa and sauerkraut, and the pierogi were out of this world and you could tell they were homemade with love. The Golobki was good. If I said it was better than my mother's, there would be hell to pay! Serving containers of spicy mustard for the kielbasa, sour cream for the pierogi, and a beautiful horseradish sauce was for whatever your pleasure. This had a kick and it was amazing. The restaurant is super clean, and decorated with lots of thought. I loved the menu. Thanks again Belvedere of East Windsor for your gracious service and delicious food. You are well deserving of the five stars. Until next time!
