First off let's start with Trev who is the actual artist that transforms eyebrows into works of Art. Trev is one of the sweetest most cheerful business owners I have yet to meet. His style is flawless and he's so beautiful to look at. Ok now let's get to the reason that I am writing this review. In the past I had been getting my brows done from nail salons and threading establishments. I was never fully happy with my eyebrows. I just had accepted that this is what they would be like. Too thin with no shape. My best friend recommended I go see Trev at the brow bar working at the Benefit counter. It took me awhile, but I finally decided to go. As Trev was waxing and plucking he spoke to me about my brows. I looked in the mirror after and was like oh.. okay my brows don't look much different, but then he said I don't want you to touch your brows at all. No plucking! This is what I'm doing & then he explained to me why. He said that they were over plucked and needed to grow back. He told me this brow is this and that brow is that. Come see me in 4 weeks. Let's book another appointment. I was like ok I'm going to give this young man another try. I went home didn't touch my brows at all like he instructed. It was so hard not to pluck. Every time I went he would say DON'T TOUCH YOUR BROWS! Fast forward a few years later. Now Trev owns his own business in downtown Sacramento. Yeah Trev!!! I would NEVER EVER CHEAT ON TREV.. I don't care what you say or how you try and sell it, I will not go anywhere else. He is like a rehab for brows. I took my daughter at 15. She is now 17 and travels on her own just to see Trev. I am always bragging about my eyebrow guy. Yes,MY eyebrow guy. He gave my brows shape and life again. I live about 20 minutes away and don't mind the drive He is so worth it. I make my next appointment while I'm there because he can book up quickly for the time spots that I need. He is amazing at what he does and I love him!!! Let me start off with: I don't believe in 5 star reviews; nothing is perfect. I believe most places can get 4 as their highest rating. But Trevin has shown me that 5 star businesses are real! I haven't had my eyebrows shaped in almost 2 years because the previous place I went to in Roseville was highly rated (numerous 5 stars), and I was left underwhelmed. Like, SUPER underwhelmed. I finally got the nerve to browse Yelp because I was tired of trying to figure out what to do with my sparse brows. I was getting along OK, but I wanted a cleaner look. Trevin was excellent! Responsive to my text messages, appointment reminder the day before (helpful, because I forget to check my calendar), and a cheerful greeting when I arrived for my appointment. I was offered something to drink, and we got started. He had me hold a mirror so he could show me what he planned to do, and made sure I was on board. I really appreciated that because even though I trusted his expertise, it showed that he wasn't going to rush through this. The appointment flew by! I asked if he could show me how to fill in my brows because I'm looking for the easiest way to look put together. :) He had me hold the mirror again, as he explained technique on how to fill in my brows, with powder. I didn't realize just how much my brows had been suffering til I started seeing Trevin! I was strictly threading for the last 10 years but I got tired of watching my brows grow thinner and thinner every time no matter what I told the person holding the thread. Trevin understands what I want (full brows again!) and really took the time to make a plan for my brows instead of just attacking them. The best part is no irritation at all from the wax! I found this place on yelp and I a very glad I gave it a try. The place is located on E street in a cute little place where here is a yoga place and a coffe shop. Let me tell you I grew out my eyebrows for 2 months and I decided to stop having them threaded since I cannot deal with the pain and I feel like they just kept getting thinner and thinner.
