I was terrified of taking the leap and getting microblading done. I tried to do as much research as possible and after looking around you will question do you really need to go to Beverly Hills or someplace fancy? NO! I believe pics and the actual artist talking about their work say it all. Christen is amazing! I've always had "barely there" brows. Without the use of a brow pencil, there wasn't much there to see, but at least I had enough to get them "shaped," which is how I met Christen. I had never heard of microblading before Christen suggested it to me, but once she did, and I researched it, I was like, WHY HAVE I NOT DONE THIS BEFORE? This review is long overdue. I have been getting my eyebrows done by Christen for about 6 years now. She has always been a perfectionist and her work has been nothing less than amazing. When she began to offer microblading services, I was not sure if it was for me. My eyebrows have always been pretty full, and thanks to Christen, my shape was perfect as well. I didn't necessarily think that I was a good candidate for microblading, but let me tell you, I was very wrong! Microblading is for EVERYONE. Mother Nature decided to bless me with almost-invisible eyebrows and having kids didn't help. I started to do it myself, so I went from no much eyebrows to crazy psycho look ( my mother started to say that I looked like some mad crazy person , not jk!). She suggested Microblading , at first I was like tattoo my eyebrows?? What??! But that changed so fast after I heard about Christen which is a true artist. I was so apprehensive about it but as soon as I walked in I felt so comfortable and that I could trust her without worries. She is so freaking knowledgeable, I didn't even had to explain to her what I didn't like about my eyebrows. She was right on it. Christen really over exceeded my expectations for eyelash extensions fill. I had been somewhere else before and needed somewhere local. She was prompt and ready, personable, friendly, and professional upon arriving. She has a huge space and a nice place for your purse in her room. She covered the comfy bed with clean paper. Her humidifier was blowing the nice air you can see it like vapor "smoke" so awesome! I felt so relaxed the whole time and the process was painless. She was efficient for three week old eyelash fill in an hour and a half or under the 1.5 really. She had an awesome chill playlist of music. She communicates clearly and seems very smart with her business. And she even gave me a couple of freebies to help care for my eyelashes at the end and showed me what to do! Christen is The Brow Queen! I have been researching and following many brow techs for the last 1-2 years (I do my research!!) And finally made the best decision to book an appointment at BrowTendre.. I lost my brows to chemotherapy about 8 years ago and have been drawing them on ever since. I can't believe I have eyebrows again! And way better than my original ones :-). I had been so unhappy with my brows for sometime and I remember spending a lot of time looking for a new place to get my brows done when I found Christen. I read so many reviews about how she's so nice and that she makes getting your eyebrows done into an experience and not just a chore and THE REVIEWS WERE NOT WRONG. My favorite thing about Christen is that she makes you feel like family when you're in her chair and I honestly love going to my appointments! I've been to Christen for about a year now and her services keep evolving, which I love. She stays with the trends and she goes to classes and learns new techniques. She had just started microblading when I started going to her, and I had been obsessed with microblading so I HAD to try it out. Christen was great and so thorough and she does not rush EVER. The whole experience was so cool because she maps out your brows on your forehead and is a perfectionist and does her best to get everything as even as possible. Absolutely recommended! Christen is so sweet! She makes you feel comfortable and calms any nerves you might have about getting your face cut up and inked (lol)!! Her work is amazingly beautiful; she takes her time to map your eyebrows and makes sure you are happy with how they will look. The tattooing part you can't feel it at all, she numbs the area with a very powerful cream, and then begins doing her thing. Afterwards, it does hurt or itch a little bit, but nothing unbearable; and honestly, for the upside of not having to do your eyebrows anymore for at least 6 months, it is completely worth it!! It is one of the best decisions you could ever make! You can literally wake up, wash your face and teeth and go out. No more time wasted drawing a face (we all know eyebrows are what shapes your face). It used to take me at least 12 minutes to draw and fill in my eyebrows since I barely have any hairs at all, so this is really a game changer for me. The first time it is a big take on your wallet, but the touch-ups are less if you've already done it with her first, but pricey nonetheless.
