The demolition of the old and rebuilding of the new balcony.
    Diane B.

We contacted Mike of Best Rate Repair to replace a beam that had dry rot. What initially looked like a small job turned into a major job with a complete balcony replacement. We found the crew that MIke sent to be very competent and professional. Mike suggested to not replace the tile with the same material because water can seep through the grout and cause the same problem down the road. We opted for a coating, different texture, similar to what the Hotel Del Coronado has on its decks. The entire job was done to our complete satisfaction . We are enjoying our leisure time now out on our new balcony.

Wow these guys are truly amazing! Benny came over to give us an estimate and he was super friendly and got us an estimate quickly. The estimate was very reasonable and less than the other estimates we got. They were able to schedule our project really quick too. Josh and his team were just as impressive! Wow they really work hard. Josh is a true professional and kept us updated every step of the way. We are beyond happy with how the deck turned out. Check out the before and after pictures!

5/5 on overall satisfaction 5/5 on initial visit and estimate 5/5 on professionalisms 5/5 on work crew-on time arrival, work ethic, ease of communication and friendliness 5/5 on clean up afterwards I will definitely use this company for other projects.

I'll start by sharing that my husband and I had a very vague idea of what we were looking for in a front porch/ deck. Admittedly we were nervous moving forward without a rendering of the project. After a few quotes, we felt Mike seemed the most confident in his assessment and we rolled the dice. I'm not sure there's been many times in my life that the result blew away my expectations! In fact, our neighbor who was skeptical about the process proclaimed it was the best craftsmanship she's ever seen. The process was very smooth. They came when they were expected and were very thoughtful with their work. We felt like they were treating our project like their own. We admittedly threw in a few curve balls with a stainless steel drink railing and our weird double pergola because of our entryway. Robert and Sean figured it out and even came up with a better way to utilize our space which was appreciated. Their work was overseen periodically by project management and our craftsmen spoke highly of them as well. Happy people do quality work. We (and all our neighbors) are so impressed. Highly recommend!!

The crew at Best Rate are absolute legends. The entire process from start to finish was super easy and Benny was very helpful and attentive throughout the project. Laz and the crew were not only great at what they do but also provided us with a variety of options and ideas to make our original ideas even better. Couldn't be more happy with how it all turned out and I highly recommend Best Rate to everyone.

This was on a Saturday afternoon, so I was impressed with his punctuality, a rarity these days across the board. We set a date/time and again, he was right here, on time, with a proactive text alert on his ETA. A few days later, I received a competitive quote/bid. Both my neighbor and I agreed Vinyl Pro was the preferred choice for our "good neighbor" fence project. The existing wood fence had been virtually destroyed by termites. A couple weeks later, before the Holidays, foreman Tony visited for a final field/project inspection and to procure a deposit (approximately 50%). Again, Tony was on time per agreement and sent an ETA text ... yes, punctuality and communication are important to me, so this was very comforting. Installation was promised on January 5th, 2026 and again, I was sent a text from the installation crew Joe and Cruz that they were on the way that morning. By the time I had returned home that morning, the old fence was gone and the new vinyl fence was already half installed. These men work efficiently and clearly take pride in their craft. Most of the installation was completed the first day (about 70-80' of vinyl with a gate on my side, fence on neighbors at the perpendicular). They informed me they'd return the following day and no surprise, they were here pretty early and had the job completed by early afternoon, with a text message and pictures to alert me the installation was completed. Very satisfied customer(s) here and I highly recommend Vinyl Pro. The vinyl fence looks fabulous and kudos to Johnny and his crew.

The price paid is worth the quality and durability. 5-star service and 5-star quality material.

He clearly explained all of our options and walked us through exactly how the process would go, which made us feel very comfortable and informed throughout the entire project. Communication was excellent the whole time, and everything stayed right on schedule as promised. The roofing crew was respectful, hardworking, and very thoughtful with both their work and clean up. They did an amazing job cleaning up at the end of each day, and we were in communication with Enrique and the foreman daily. We were so impressed with the experience and the quality of work that we're already planning to hire them again for additional projects. My experience with Peak Builders and their warranty:…read more This review covers my experience in hiring PB to fix a leak at our house (cost $20K+). The leak was via a wall or where the wall met slab, buried beneath an elevation. After purchasing the house, we discovered several leaks in different areas of the house. The leak PB was hired to fix was the only one that was found in a particular area/wall, isolated from other leaks. After completing the fix, the house was sold. Upon heavy rains starting again in San Diego, the leak was found to still be present by the buyers. This review is based on inspection reports and insurance claims, an engineering report, and documented responses of PB to the new buyers. I removed the first review owing to PB bringing up potential for a defamation lawsuit, so am keeping this one based solely on documented facts (inspections, insurance claim, documented response of PB to new buyers). Many of these are resulting from a very expensive settlement from us to the new buyers after PB declined to accept their responsibility to the failure of their fix and the related warranty, thus we have paid for the leak to be addressed a second time. Note that the lawsuit covered this leak, as well as other issues unrelated to what PB were hired to address. Note also that an engineering report of the house that we paid for separately from PB included input on how to fix the leak, which was more dramatic than what PB suggested. Based on oral conversations with PB at the time, we believed the scoped work was undertaken to address the leak, and that the warranty covered the leak being fixed. After we discovered the leak, the area was inspected by other contractors, as well as an engineer, and was part of an insurance claim. PB was hired to fix the leak. As licensed experts, PB determined the appropriate steps and scope of work. This was performed over many weeks, digging up the side of the house, exposing the wall and corner that the leak was observed from inside the house, waterproofing and treating the wall. The contract with PB detailed the intended scope of work. After the leak was re-discovered, and through recent conversations with PB, they are claiming they were not hired to fix the leak, but instead to complete only the details scoped in the contract, and that they are not responsible for the leak. Their claim (IMO) is that they did complete the scoped work and the warranty does not cover the leak, only the work that they performed, and that they are not responsible for the leak. Their interpretation, if accurate, is that we hired them to perform work unrelated to the leak. My recommendation for others that intend to hire PB is to ensure that the contract and scope of work point directly to why the work is being undertaken (e.g. fix a leak), and that it is stated within the contract that the work and cost, and the warranty, cover the GOAL of the work, not just details of the work they will perform. Otherwise, it leaves them an out to claim that they did the work that was scoped, and that that work was not necessarily done to address an issue, with the warranty not covering the issue.
