Went to this place looking for a car for my 16 year old daughter. Found a 2014 Ford fiesta only had 61,000 miles on. It is the reason why we went down for a 2 Hour Dr. when we got there we had an appointment with a guy named Marlin. The first thing that this guy said to us was I have to tell you guys something. The car is in good shape but it reeks of cigarette smoke. We have a machine that's in the car right now trying to make it smell better. it's not that bad but you can just pretend you're at a nightclub. My comeback was why didn't you clean the car out two months ago since you've had it he told me outright that that car is his bait car people come down to see it, and after they smell the cigarette smoke in the car, he tries to sell them higher priced vehicle. He actually said that to me, my daughter and my son, who is also with me on top of it, they try to add a $999 conveyance fee which everybody knows is totally negotiable. I told him I was gonna pay cash and also they sent me a $500 coupon. He said he would apply that and the car went from 6900 to 8400 and I told him the car stunk so bad and I'm not gonna do that to my daughter to make her drive around in the car and his reply was you can just drive with the windows down so like I said, I told him I was gonna pay cash into the best he could for me he said how much do you want to pay for the car? I said I didn't want to pay any more than $7500 for it so he was playing back-and-forth with me then left me and my two kids in a room and went and was taking care of another family at the same time so we got tired of him and we were leaving and when we are leaving, he came into the parking lot to my car and said hey you know what my sales manager said I can give it to you for $7700 all of a sudden and that he was gonna shampoo the car himself. There was also in the trunk a piece of plywood that was half torn ripped, and the carpet in the car was placed over the top so the trunk had no sturdiness to it all and I wanna question him about it. He said he never saw it and didn't know what I was talking about. He also told me that the reason why the car was so cheap is because it was in an accident, but the accident was minor to the door, but if you looked on the description for the vehicle, it was never in an accident so these people are shady as fuck. When we got there the person was talking to a different worker about their personal life and car was only shown after 15 mins of chit chat. Didn't explain anything about the car, just said here's the car. After I told the person I do not like the car the ride back to the dealership was questioning me why I don't like the car and when I said the condition of the car is bad for the price they said this is the best price in CT for this car and I won't find a better deal. read more

I cannot even begin to express my disappointment. In my lifetime I have probably owned 15 Nissans. The past three from Bruce Bennett. I've never felt more taken advantage of. I went to the dealership and was 100% honest about what I wanted to leave down and what I wanted my monthly payment to be. I understand the price of cars has gone up considerably ( what I paid and what I got is disgusting ) My one request was after the paperwork is all said and done. Please don't stick me in the room with the man or woman who asks you for even more money. I want a final price. I live on a budget. This is what I can afford. What happens????? I go into the room with the lady and all of a sudden the monthly lease payment is now $50 more than what I was promised. I start to walk out of the dealership and oh no oh no we found some sort of coupon. OK....fine I'll still go ahead with it. I knew at that point something was very wrong. I should have walked. The day I pick up the car (once they had my money) They couldn't even be bothered to show me the car. They gave me a BRAND NEW car with a horn that was not working. You'll never know how truly dangerous it is to drive a car without a horn until it happens. I had to make two more trips in order to have it replaced. Now not even TWO months in to leasing this car and the bottom bumper (with no damage no scrapes no nothing) has started to pull away and looks like it needs to be snapped back in. Once again I have to take time off from my job to go to the dealership. Thank God for the people in the service department. They have been nothing but wonderful, I cannot say the same for the sales department. I will never buy or lease another car from this dealership again. This dealership wrote my title with wrong lein holder. I've moved out of state and must have title but discovered the title is wrong. I've made 36 calls to this dealership since Dec 20, 2023 (over 8 months) to correct the title but they lie to me about the status continually and have not taken calls from the correct bank many many times. I've fed 3 complaints with Nissan Consumer Affairs one with CT Dept of Consumer Affairs and one wirh CT DMV. Don't buy a car from this dealership if you finance a car. We tried going back to get a new car just recently. What a difference. No call backs when you leave messages, no follow up. They just don't seem to care. I went with my elderly Mother-in-Law this past Saturday to get her a new Sentra to replace her Sentra coming off of a lease. She only has a fixed income and we were a little concerned about her ability to get a new car considering the shortage and other Covid fallout. All of those concerns went out the window when we met Tania! Tania is just a breath of fresh air and a ray of sunshine. She is an amazing saleswoman. She showed us the car that my MIL was interested in and the many color choices. She explained all of the new and improved features of the car since it was recently redesigned. Tania knows her stuff! Realizing that my MIL had difficulty walking, she brought the cars right to the door for her test drive which was super sweet. My MIL LOVED the car and I think that hardest part of this whole transaction was picking a color! This dealership has a lot of inventory whereas other dealerships closer to our home did not. Tania was so helpful and positive during every step of the car buying process. Tania's attention to detail and truly warm personality is a winning combination. Once my MIL was set on a color, we were introduced to Kurt, the Finance manager. Now, I have worked with many auto finance managers in several dealerships and they always seem disheveled and disorganized. Not Kurt! His office was so welcoming! Kurt is so knowledgeable about every step of the process and made a usually daunting process for an elderly lady on a fixed income, easy as pie. He understood that she was a great Nissan customer and helped her to get all of the paperwork completed quickly. Ting, the Sales Manager, is a wonderful man. While working through the deal with my MIL, he made every effort to make sure we received the best customer service and best price for her trade. He truly went above and beyond for us and we appreciated it. Ting definitely seems to love his job and the people that he works with. You can always sense when people enjoy working together. You can tell that he has the customer's best interests as his highest priority. I cannot say enough about how much Bruce Bennett Nissan impressed me! From the minute we stepped into the dealership until we were driving out of the lot. All of the employees were professional and always had a smile. They even had free BBQ that day! In the lobby they have all kinds of complimentary refreshments and plenty of seating for customers. Since we are getting into Fall now, the dealership was festively decorated with Halloween decorations and other fall décor. This just made the place fun from the get go. We knew as soon as we arrived that THIS was OUR new Nissan dealership from now on! My worst experience at a car dealership ever. Once we agreed on the price on the car, they proceeded to add roughly 1500,00 in "fees". Also, when adding the sales tax to the car, they didn't simply add the price of the car times the percentage of the taxes. They added the price of the car, plus all the extra fees, then that number multiplied by the tax rate. Clearly only the amount of the price of the car gets forwarded to the state, meaning they pocket the rest. Kept my deposit money hostage almost a week, making me unable to shop for anything else for almost a week. Completely unprofessional. To think I drove from Long Island to CT for that. read more

I called ahead asking about a specific car that was listed that I wanted to come take a look at. Upon arriving they asked what kinds of cars I was looking for. I mentioned the specific car and the salesman kept asking questions eventually offering to bring out an SUV for me when the car I was looking for was a sedan. He told me the car I had called a few hours ago about had sold within the last hour. I bought a 2011 Nissan Versa from here about 6 years ago as my first car. The buying experience was okay at best. I saw the Internet price for the car and it came with a warranty for $10k or 11k. I told the car salesman and he was arguing with me until I showed him the internet price and he had to go to the manager to see if it was correct. It took awhile to get him to agree that that was the price that brought me into the dealership or else it was a no-go. How can you lie about what's on your website?? After buying the car, it was really all down hill from there. My car needed continuous service and I ended up investing a ton of money into it. I went last year to get my car fixed again and saw that I didn't have a warranty on it even though it wasn't five years yet and I paid for the 5 year warranty. I went to talk to a manager about my coverage and sure enough, I signed on something that made no sense (my fault, I should have looked. Ended up that it was five years from when the previous owner bought the car). But the guy wanted to appraise my car and get me into something new. I took the bait and said okay to getting it appraised and gave him my number because I was leaving while my car was being fixed and appraised. I came back to get my car and never heard from the manager. Never received a call or anything. I keep getting about 3-4 emails from Bruce Bennet and letters in the mail about them wanting to buy my car. But no one has called me to help me out! I purchased the Nissan rogue of January 2023 and was going to have my tires changed over by Star Tire and it was brought to my attention that the tires were dry rotted. I set up appointment to go there the following Saturday to no avail. Service department told me I need approval from the manager to put on new tires, but they could see they were dry rotted. I could not get in touch with the manager that was on a Saturday five days later still did not contact me I called and they kept switching me around to various numbers I got into a heated argument with the salesman. He made is very clear that he was only concerned about making sales for NEW cars, rather than used. He left and came back with discounts and deals for a new car three times. He never came back with any actual numbers for the used car that I went there to buy. When I wouldn't budge on switching my car choice he got an attitude and I left. Took my car here last week to get my breaks and my 60,000 mile check up done. Their prices were pricey at first I thought, but then after checking with other places near by and learning they were about $2,000 cheaper, and able to get me in and out the same day, I went with them. I also drive a NISSAN Rogue so wanted to have parts from an actual NISSAN. The service was great. Jeff was very nice to work with. The only thing I would have to mention is that they did not wash my car after. I know from going to other car dealerships that they usually give your car a quick bath afterwards.
