I was wandering around Spokane trying to find a non-big-chain restaurant and I stumbled on Bruchis. The person who took my order was great. I Ordered a classic 12" and took it back to my hotel. This wasn't a fancy dinner, but I literally wrote home about it. The meat was so flavorful, the onions so tender, and the exact amount of cheese to saturate but not make a goopy mess. Been coming here for decades. Always the best meal. Can't get enough of it. They have Utah quality fry sauce which goes well on the cheesesteak and most definitely on the French fries. I recommend getting them extra crispy. My wife is always a fan of the chicken cheesesteak and tbh, it's a hard decision which meat I get when I order because they're both so good. Went for a walk through riverfront and wanted to get some food heading back home. Was craving a sub and this place is within great walking distance. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was clean and tidy. I asked for a recommendation and the cashier said the Italian was a good choice, so I went with that. They did not take long, at most what I waited was 10 minutes. The portions were generous, the price was reasonable, and the food tastes great. I'll definitely be swinging by here again. read more

First time here. Our friend recommended Bauchi's while in town. I had the Classic Philly Cheesesteak. My wife ordered the Pepper Steak sandwich. Both were delicious. Restaurant was clean. The staff friendly and helpful in ordering our food. Only thing I would suggest to Bruchi's, instead of frozen French fries, take it up a notch and make fresh steak fries to go with your delicious sandwiches. We have another layover here in Spokane next week. We'll be back to try another round of Bruchi's. read more

This place is a joke. Two weeks in a row, I attempted to place an online order for lunch for me and two other buddies. We ordered in advance so that it would be ready and we could eat right away upon arrival at the restaurant. So last week, I ordered at 10:30 and indicated a 11:30 pickup time. When I arrived at the restaurant with my buddies, I asked for my online order and they looked for a ticket, found it and preceeded to say they would make it now. I let the staff know that we did not have time to wait for them to cook the food and that they need to refund my money....without even so much as an attempt at an apology, the staffer said it's done...reminded. I thanked him and predicted to leave, no one ever attempted to make an apology, so I said, no need to apologize and the response from the staffer was, "Okay!" Unbelievable. So today, we decided to try again, i ordered online at 10:35 for a 11:30 pickup time. I then called to give them a heads up that i would be in at 11:30 to pickup my online order for 3 people. The staffer told me that the food was already cooked and bagged waiting for me!!!!! At 10:45!!!!! I told the syaffer that the pickup time is selected so they have the food prepared, hot and ready to each at the 11:30 time. I said i will not pay for food that was prepped nearly an hour before my arrival. We are talking hamburgers and fries, you want them while they are hot! Upon my arrival, the staffer handed me a bag of ice cold food and said, no, we did not make freah food for your order.​ I was shocked! I said, let me see if its still eatable, i opened one of the burgers and jt was dry and cold. The fries were cold as well. Inhabded the bag of food back to the staffer and asked for a refund. She told me she did not know how to issue a refund and the manager was out. I left the bag with her and said i would return later for a refund. I went next door to MOD pizza and due to their quick servicez was able to still have a lunch with my business. Later today, i received a phone call from a number i didn't recognize, it was the manager from Bruchi's downtown. I was walking into a meeting that i was running at that moment so is asked if i could call him back after my meeting. He responded with, i was calling to let you know that I will not be giving you a refund, so no need to call back. Needless to say, i was absolutely floored and shocked. I wont be eating at Bruchi's again and neither will my buddies. I wish i could give a zero star rating, the system does not allow it. read more

Food is good but the service is not. I like their sandwiches and their burgers are good. People tell me the salads are good too. Ironically their cheesesteaks are my least favorite item on the menu. Service is terrible though. I think they're probably way too busy a lot of the time. Result is you'll wait quite a while and if you order delivery they may not bring it at all. Decided to try Bruchis for the first time on Friday 10/4/18. I ordered my sandwich in the morning for 12:15pm delivery. I have an email confirmation of the order and know you've delivered to my location to coworkers before. My order literally never showed up. I called the downtown location 8 times and the phone was busy or no one ever answered when it did ring. I have messaged through Facebook and posted twice asking for someone to address this. I need my money back ASAP. This is absolutely ridiculous. Order # 1246402 Update: Finally got a hold of a person and the manager was too busy to speak with me and told the guy on the phone to just process the refund without even hearing what happened. Even when he didn't know how to process the refund she didn't get on the phone. A refund isn't enough to keep me as a customer at this point. OK now, I afford a lot of latitude for businesses delivering food downtown during lunch hour, but this is the 3rd time I've paid far more for a sandwich than I feel OK about. After almost an hour for delivery (again), the sandwich I was handed is barely warm, not to mention ultra-dry because they didn't include either of the sauces I ordered. I've stopped preemptively tipping their drivers before delivery actually arrives (yea, check their website, it's a real thing), because I've come to expect this - and not getting a tip before you've even done anything is no excuse for service like this. It's up to the business to earn their money, not to mention gratuities, and this kind of crap does not earn a driver a tip. I hate to slag a local legend like Bruchi's, but this location is apparently not worthy of the name. Of the half-dozen times I've ordered from them, one has been good, two have been less-than-good, and three have been so bad that I've wanted to write this review. Well, I'm not going to hold back any more - now I have to take an extra lunch break to go somewhere else. First, he commented to MY BOSS "GOOD DIRECTIONS" because we have more than one suite, he had to walk his bike down two doors. Hey guys, I'm not one to complain, but I got time today. Today I skipped breakfast and was looking forward to my lunch. I was like I'm going to order Bruchi's. So I put in my order, stoked...45 minutes pass, I wonder if I'm getting stood up. This hasn't happened before. I call in, your system had been down or something and so are my feelings now. Someone on the phone finally finds my order and say they're gonna get that fixed and ready. They apologize, it takes some of the sting away but I'm still starving. 30 minutes later my meal gets here. It's colder than my ex-girlfriends heart. The meat drier than some elbows in the winter. The ultimate kicker? There's no cheese! How are you going to have "cheesesteaks" without the cheese? Now I usually tell people you got the meats and not Arby's. This situation makes me look like a liar. I'm all for forgiveness and don't learn from my mis-steaks so I'll probably be ordering again sometime soon. If you ever got rid of the Raspberry Seltzer it would be the final straw though. If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered sandwiches online for a client meeting with a promised Noon delivery time. Ended up having a lunch meeting without lunch. Stopped by the store after the meeting and the clerk told me they had been busy and there is nothing they can do. Horrible customer service. I will not be back. I can see from other reviews this is typical with them. I'd highly recommend ordering delivery somewhere else if you want your food on time (if you receive it all). Update: The owner responded (below) on 11/16, the same day I posted this review. I immediately followed-up to explain that while the missed delivery was unacceptable, I understand that we are all human and mistakes can be made. I stated that the way I was treated by the manager was inexcusable (and just checking in with her will not remedy this). And not answering your phone is not acceptable either. I pointed out that many reviews on Yelp and other sites show a recurring pattern. It is now December 5, and I have received no response. Clearly the initial response was just lip service, and the owner of this establishment does not care either. I've had issues with the downtown Spokane Bruchi's location. I've overlooked the issues because I do like their burgers and fries. Last November, I placed an order at the counter. No one was ahead of me, but there were five behind me. All five got their orders before mine. A burger takes longer, but I know for certain that my burger was on the planar grill for 20 minutes, then on a plate for another five minutes. When I complained to the person who cooked it, she actually argued with me. I took the to-go meal and it was hockey puck with over-melted cheese. I called, complained to the manager, and got a refund. I haven't seen that cook there since that time. I did online orders for pick-up after that. They know me by name (I wonder why). Yesterday, I walked in to get my order. I did the normal thing - get a seat near the online-order pickup spot - and waited for my order. Turns out they'd put the burger in the delivery area and it sat there for ten minutes. I finally walked up to the designated online order position and asked about it. That manager knew exactly where it was (not in the online order area). She walked directly back to get it (she knows my name and saw me waiting for it, but it seems she chose to make me sit there and wait). She plopped the burger down on the counter sans fries. I asked, "Where's the rest of it?" She went to get the fries and disappeared for about four minutes. The fries were under-cooked...imagine that. I just feel like I've been treated differently because I voiced a valid complaint over the service and quality of the food...and probably got someone fired for arguing with a customer. This Bruchi's location has some really bad reviews and I've experienced firsthand what many others have complained about. $20-30 per week from me...now down to $0. I went to RR today and they put the Bruchi's jerks to shame with their level of service. read more

I literally joined yelp to leave this review. That's how bad it was. I'll never eat food from here again. Placed my one sandwich order online at 10:20 AM and requested delivery at 1pm. My office is less than 10 minutes away. At 1:25 I called and asked where my food was. They said any minute. At 1:50 I called again and asked where my food was. I said well just refund me and they said ok when he shows up send the food back. UM NO. Manager got on the phone and said if you want a refund, return the food. I explained again the fod wasn't here and if it showed up, I didn't see why they needed it back. After all, it's over an hour old now. About that time a woman from my office showed up and provided me the inedible food pictured below. The delivery driver gave her my food to deliver to me on the way up the elevator. . . I literally never saw his face to even return the food. WOW. I happened to still be on the phone with the manager when my coworker walked in with the "food". I told her you will give me a refund and she said ok whatever. It's been a full week (order placed on 11-4) and NO REFUND. There is something I really like about Bruchi's sandwiches. They are hot and delicious and decently priced. This location however took a very long time preparing the food. With no one in line my food took almost 20 minutes to prepare which is outrageous for this type of establishment. Food looks decent but staff is not knowledgeable about food allergies. Cashiers are clueless and cannot answer questions. Highly NOT recommended for those with gluten sensitivities/allergies as they make everything in a tiny work station, use the same tongs to flip meat as they do to handle bread, and put meats and breads in the same place on the stove. The food came on time, but one sandwich was wrong (came with cheese and my co-worker couldn't eat it). Since it was already paid for, we called to have them re-make the sandwich and re-deliver. After waiting 45 minutes, there was still no delivery! I called to cancel the order and get a refund for the 1 sandwich, and the manager wouldn't speak to me. Didn't get order correct. 2. Didn't re-deliver sandwich when asked. 3. Lied to me about the refund process to get me off the phone during their lunch rush (I would think since they already took my money though, I am just as important as other customers at this point.) 4. Didn't even care why they were refunding the money. They didn't ask for details on what went wrong, which a business usually does when they screw up. Typically a place would want to know they could improve the experience for their customer so they wouldn't make the same mistake again. They suck.
