Everything is cooked like home cooking, Good old fashioned service as well. Tables were clean, people in the restaurant were great, and the restroom wasn't far from the diner. Parking might be the least fun thing about it but it's all right there in front of the truck stop. You don't have to walk far or anything like that. Went with my Dad today, for a late lunch. Nice little diner that's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Surprisingly we both had salads, both were pretty good. I would say my Dad's Buffalo Chicken Salad had close to a pound of chicken on it. He also really liked the Bleu Cheese dressing. Most all the new restos in the Spokane/Cd'A area do not interest me, and they haven't for several years. Call it age, expense, horrible downtown locations, whatever you want. To satisfy my yearn to review, I've turned to updating info on tried and true dining experiences. Broadway Diner is about as consistent as it gets, and I danged well wish there were a dozen more like it. We are losing traditional diners, regardless if mom & pop or national chain, and it's a trend I sure hope reverses course. Came to Spokane Valley for a girls volleyball tournament. My daughter's team went 4 and 3. Pretty good showing. My daughter and I were sharing a hotel room and I would get kicked out because my daughter and her teammates would be hanging out. On Snapchat. Whatever 16-year-olds-do. I was kind of lonely and hungry and googled DINER. Thank Goodness Google took me to Broadway Diner. The menu was vast. I went with PORK CHOP AND EGGS. HIGH RECOMMEND. Great spot. Go on Friday - the clam chowder is really really good! Had it 2 weeks ago and was impressed with that it didn't come out of a can. Can't go wrong with the cheese curds and a side of brown gravy to dip them in. I know, sounds weird, but, surprisingly delicious! Haven't tried the pancakes yet, but my friend swears the Sweet Cream Blueberry pancakes are worth breaking the diet! This is a very reliable diner, and I do believe they are open 24/7. My Hubby adores truck stop diners, and has been here dozens of times with friends and our kids. The times I've gone it's been the same every time, with friendly older ladies as waitresses, who never let your coffee or ice water get empty. The food is as you expect, and really that is a good thing because I've always had a decent meal. They don't have a bar, but as another reviewer mentioned, they do have a lot of pull tabs though. If you're looking for a late night, sit down meal in the Spokane area this is it, literally. You don't have any other options. As the saying goes, beggars can't be choosers. And that is good for Broadway Diner, b/c if I could choose to go elsewhere, I would. I've been to Broadway Diner three times and have experience varying levels of dissatisfaction. It does need to be stated that all three times have been in the early morning hours. And each time it has been relatively busy with minimal staff (only one waitress). The service is hit and missed. It has ranged from pretty awful to really rather good. The food is also touch and go. It's not bad, but it isn't particularly good. The only real appeal is that it's the only spot open at odd hours of the night where you can sit down with friends and/or coworkers and get some food. I doubt I'll ever visit during hours when I have other options. But the truth is, despite how underwhelmed I've been so far, I'll probably end up here again at some point b/c there simply aren't any other options. read more

Great service and food but a current phone number would be helpful and would probably increase sales!

We stopped here at midnight on a road trip and were BLOWN AWAY. The food was delicious, and the service was INCREDIBLE. We had a fantastic server named Katelyn. Katelyn was truly the best! She was the only waitress working, but that didn't stop her from being attentive and friendly to all of the tables. We were exhausted from driving all day and were not expecting high-quality service or food at this hour, but Broadway Diner and Katelyn gave us the pep we need to make it through the final two hours of this drive. This place is comfort. Old school truck stop diner with a great menu of good old fashioned favorites. I've always dined in and was happy to see a delivery menu. I was craving a good, old school burger and fries. My meal did not disappoint. I got a basic burger but there other delicious options on the menu. Ample portion sizes. It was nice to have leftovers! Been to the broadway diner once before to eat inside. The food was amazing and the waitress was even better! Went again tonight for a late night take out dinner and OMG the roast beef sandwich was soo good. Im a trucker. I got the shrimp and sausage spicy Alfredo pasta and a side of their pancakes because everyone on yelp says their so good. I agree. I will definitely be coming back. The restraurant accepts pilot points all you have to do is go to the cashier in the convenient store and print out a ticket and use it to pay at the restraurant. You can only print out tickets in increments of $5 so like $5 $10 or $15 . I printed out a $15 ticket and only paid like $2 dollars out of my own pocket. Food is great. Dropped into the Diner for dinner on a weeknight. We dined in the bar section of the joint. This is your classic spot "where everybody knows your name." Full of regulars from the local businesses and neighborhood. It is loud and friendly. Our waitress was the classic server of this environment: brassy, loud and a sweetheart. I was discriminated against because I wouldn't disclose private medical information. My family went here for my birthday and we were told that unless someone has a seizure disorder or something, our service dog is not allowed. (We have taken him here with us many times without issue, but this server was on a power trip or something). I tried to calmly explain the ADA laws and gave the correct responses to the two legal questions, but the waitress didn't understand and just sneered and was dismissive, condescending, and rude the entire encounter. We decided to leave rather than argue, but I met with the manager so this wouldn't happen to someone in the future. He did not seem to care at all that she violated our rights and the law and let her continue arguing, being snide and rolling her eyes at me. They both quoted the rules for the establishment and then told me to read a website link to ADA which confirmed everything I had been saying to them, that they had no right to do what they did. This is a violation of federal law and punishable by fines of $75,000 for a first offense, but the way they act, I'm sure they will get many many more without the proper employee education. I will be reporting them to the ADA and I hope an official investigation and appropriate training are the result. This ruined my birthday and now I'll never go to my favorite diner again, which is very disappointing. read more

Yes, the Broadway Diner is a truck stop right off I-90, but you don't need to drive up in a Kenworth or Peterbilt to feel welcome there. The menu has all the variety you would expect from a 24-hour operation. The dining room is big -- no waiting to be seated. The food servers are friendly, and so are the customers -- truckers as well as local regulars, whom the food servers greet by name. We had nice conversation with a couple of folks. The servings are generous, the food is tasty and well prepared, and the service is prompt. The atmosphere is fun, the restrooms were clean, and my wife and I are glad that we went. read more

We ordered a delivery from this restaurant, and ordered 5 different breakfasts. They shorted us a side of bacon, all three sides of hash browns had melted into the styrofoam and were inedible! The eggs were cold, and one order of biscuits and gravy was put into the bag upside down, so there was gravy stuck to the top of the container. It was very unappetizing, bland taste(what little we did try, and basically the whole order went into the garbage can. Over $70 for inedible food! Before the pandemic forced many meals to be delivered to ordered to-go, I had not even heard of the Broadway Diner. In the mood for some breakfast foods and seeing them for delivery, we decided to check them out. In general, the food is good and a great value. We ordered a variety of food to try including an omelet, biscuits and gravy, French toast, pancakes, and hash browns. The eggs looked a bit processed and were not the most flavorful. However, this might simply be due to the nature of delivery which is not ideal for eggs. In any case, they were edible just not great. Everything else was very good. The pancakes, which count as a side, are the size of a dinner plate and very good. I will definitely be getting those again as they were better than most of the more popular breakfast restaurants I have eaten at. They are sweet with a very distinctive vanilla smell and taste. I was also pleasantly surprised by the biscuits and gravy. While biscuits and gravy is a simple dish, I grew up in the South and have been disappointed in several other Spokane restaurants' attempts at creating biscuits and gravy. The Broadway Diner does not have the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had, but I certainly would order it again as it compares favorably to anything I have had in Spokane. The gravy is thick and biscuits were soft and flaky. The omelet was large and packed with bacon, sausage, and ham. Again, the eggs were not the best but the meats made up for that. Overall, I would recommend the Broadway Diner if you are in a mood for a traditional breakfast. I have not tried their lunch/dinner options but perhaps I will next time. When this pandemic has passed, I hope to visit them and see how well everything tastes fresh. read more

I just love this Diner. it is in the Broadway Truckstop. The food is just like home cooking. Real feel good food. The Chicken fried steak is great. the Pot roast sandwich is awsome served open faced with gravy it is real good. The dining room is clean has TVs and is a great place to have a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. Ordered a comfort food meal for my mother who is In a nursing home, for her Birthday. Ordered though Grub Hub and had very specific requests for the food, and driver. My mother finally got her meal, she said it was aweful, the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, were all covered by the gravy! Looked like soup. No flavor.
