Horribly slow service! 37 minutes to get one bagel with cream cheese! I used to go here frequently, but they keep going down hill. This will be my last visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is not welcoming. It looks worn and uncared for[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The chairs are now used only for waiting for your order. There used to be customers eating and having coffee, but not now[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Matter of fact, the self serve coffee pots were replaced by Mr. Coffee style containers and each looked like it only had sludge that had been there for hours. The three employees didn't seem to care and had no skills to keep things going. Silly me, I thought if I just wanted a bagel with cream cheese it could be done quickly. Wrong. Easy orders like a dozen mixed bagels just went to the back of the line behind the fancy sandwiches and large Door Dash orders. While two women worked on the complicated sandwiches, the cashier did little or nothing. Can't she glove up, count to twelve, and get the quick orders out the door? Seriously, I've managed customer service operations and this was beyond pathetic. The cashier started telling people that it would take about 30 minutes to get their orders. Customers then walked out. Once I noticed that there was a time stamped on my receipt, I had to see how long this would actually take. At least ten minutes in line before I ordered and then 27 minutes waiting for one bagel that wasn't even well cooked. It was pale white and doughy inside. Never again. read more

Wish I would've read some of these reviews before I stopped in. I usually stop at the Bruegger's in Edina and they have always been wonderful. Today I was in Eden Prairie and wanted to treat myself to a breakfast sandwich. I ordered the smoked salmon bagel (my fav) with no tomato, as I am highly allergic, and a cold brew. First they forgot to make my coffee. Then I drive all the way home with my sandwich and of course THEY ADDED TOMATO. Thankfully I notice something hanging off the side of the sandwich before I bit in. I emphasized my allergy when I ordered. Please pay more attention when someone tells you they have an allergy, this could've sent me to the hospital. Now I get to throw away a sandwich I just paid $10 for. read more

At the coffee station, there was only a flavored hot coffee, not other options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front eating area shares storage boxes on two sides.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not a pleasant place to eat so I left when my order was ready.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] That took awhile since there were only two staff doing everything at the front of the house. This was not during rush hour and on a Monday morning. As a former chef with many years in the food service industry, my urge was to step in and help. Every time I visit a brueggers I know I'll leave annoyed. Yet I still return on occasion when I have a bagels craving. Every single time no matter the time of day something is wrong with my order, the wait time, staff members, quality or availability of what I ordered. It seems like such a simple business model yet it is always wrong. Today I decided to order online long before I arrived to see if that would make a difference in my experience.. nope! Even worse! I arrived 20 minutes after my order was placed and waited for 5 minutes until someone notified me they didn't have the bagel type I ordered, and they would not be able to make any more of those today. To be honest, it was the only reason I came here. I settled for a plain bagel but it's just hilarious how every time I come something goes wrong... and looking at the other reviews they all have a similar experience. Every time I come here I know there's going to be an issue- either how the bagel is cut or the cream cheese. I asked for extra cream cheese this morning while ordering (and paid for it). I know Minnesota doesn't care about cream cheese like the east coast but in what world is this EXTRA? Such a bummer I was in process of paying so didn't see them making it or I would have asked them to add more, but they just handed me the bag and I left. To be honest, I only treat myself to a bagel once a month and just really wanted it to be how I ordered it. I very rarely write a review, but the service was so ridiculously bad I need to warn others. I have long thought service is bad in this location but today it was so bad I need to do this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]To note, this bad service was after a "renovation", and the place looks the same, just as dirty as always.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I made my order: 1 sandwich and 6 bagels. After waiting for 15 minutes, I asked if my order was still being processed, only then, they felt the need to tell me that I would have to wait for one kind of bagel, which would not be ready for 8 more minutes, or choose a replacement. I had seen that kind of bagel in the basket when I ordered, and it seems they used them for someone else's larger order, and not my small order, even though they acknowledged my order was first. There was no apology. I have picky kids, so I said I would wait. There was no thank you when I finally got my order 25-30 minutes after I paid. The onion and everything bagels were mixed with cinnamon raisin and plain (like most of the time, which I choose to let go), and my sandwich order was wrong, I said no egg, there was egg. The "manager" was all over the place, apologizing to other customers who were also waiting too long, but who had arrived after me. I got no apology, acknowledgement, or a thank you for the tip I had given in advance. Staff always looks stressed, sad, and unkept. I never see the same staff there, very high turnaround. This is the worst place I have ever been to, I had kept going there because of location convenience. I will now drive 15 minutes more to get better service and not ruin my morning before work. If there were zero star rating or negative stars I would use them instead. UPDATE: The bagel I waited 8 minutes more for, is flat and RAW!!!!!! A health concern on top of the bad service. read more

Unfortunately this Bruegger's is the closest one to my house. I just had the worst, barely cooked bagel after waiting for 10 minutes. Staffing is an issue - they seem to be understaffed. There was an employee mopping the bagel cooking area for 5 minutes while a line formed to order, only one person taking orders and prepping orders. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a mess, dust and dirt everywhere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Still no booths 5 years after the pandemic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I know it was a corporate decision to stop cutting the bagels unless you ask but still annoying. We are staying in town a few days and decided to try this place out. Saw several comments about staff, but we had no issues. Food was good. I got the bacon, egg and cheese. BF had the salmon, tomato and onion. Both were cooked good and taste was good. They do not toast their bagels super crispy, so if you like crispy, tell them to toast it longer. Good amount of options to choose from and several spreads. They offer both breakfast and lunch options, soups and coffee. Place was quiet so it makes for a good study or out of office area. There's just something off about this Brueggers location. Customers don't know where to order. The employees are not focussed on the customers. It's strange. Have to leave a comment for this place. We have been coming here for years. My kids love this place and they get bagel breakfast sandwiches at least twice a week. My son always orders sausage egg and cheese and adds bacon. He's young and growing. Loves it. Went in today and ordered that for him and his friend. When ringing it up, noticed that extra bacon is now $2 making the sandwich almost $7 total. Seems kind of ridiculous - extra bacon has always been $1. Asked the manager about it and his reaction was a shrug and , "yeah, we noticed that too, that's just the way it is" and he turned his back on me and walked in back. Honestly thought the guy was pretty rude. The woman ringing me up looked at me sheepishly and said "sorry about that ". Hate to stop going to this place but they could stand to think about how they talk to customers and review their pricing. read more

I was then upset to see the little to no amount of cream cheese he put in my bagel when I opened it especially since I paid full price!!. Our order was messed up. However. I am very satisfied with the service we received at this location. My hubby and I came in for their western bagel Sandwich and the beljapeno bagel sandwich. We also ordered a cinnimon sugar bagel with strawberry cream cheese to split. We were called to the register before our order was done, i repeated what we got to the woman at the register. After mentioning the sugar strawberry bagel over three times the people making the bagels forgot our cinnimon sugar one... little frustrating but we let them know. When we did finally get it the bagel had plain cream cheese. I told them the issue only to find out there were no more sugar bagels left. Anyway. We were given a full refund and even two extra bagels. One to replace the messed up cinnimon one, and an extra cinnimon one right out of the oven to take home. This is a great bagel place, conveniently located next to a coffee shop (in and out breakfast!). The bagels are always good...there are always lots of options to choose from. Pick out a spread or create your own sandwich. And, if you don't feel like walking next door to the coffee shop, Bruegger's serves pretty decent coffee itself. Bonus! The female worker named Sam is rude and unprofessional. There were three of us at the counter waiting to order when she announced to her co-worker who was in the middle of taking an order "screw it, this isn't getting cleaned" about the oven. Um, gross? Then she kept complaining about things while we were ordering. I work in food service and yes complaining happens but not in front of customers. The service was also slow it took a long time for our food to come out compared to many other Bruegger's we've been to. read more

The manager here needs to do some serious staff training. Two visits ago the person at the counter didn't know what she was doing and took a long time. That's fine, everybody has to learn. The other employee at the cash register checked me out as I waited. As I was leaving the first employee yelled, "Did you pay for that?" Embarrassing. Today I ordered a Leonardo da Veggie, and paid $8.50. When I got home and sat down for lunch I found they'd made a bagel with cream cheese instead. $5.00 wasted. The service is consistently inconsistent. This location also changed their hours and doesn't open until 6 am weekdays which now shuts many people out who start work early and love to grab a bagel and coffee on the way to work, unlike their competitors. They are frequently out of most selections if you go early in the morning, unlike their competitors. Customer service is lacking. This Bruegger's location is in a sad state of affairs. read more

Let me first start by saying this is my first review ever for any restaurant or service provider. I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. So I'm usually the one responding to a review or survey. To be honest I rarely can find the time to write a review. In this instance I will make time. My family and I recently moved to the Eden Prairie area and I stop into the Bruegger's Bagels there about once or twice a week. I keep going back because of the product and the location. I will not return because of the customer service. The manager or at least I assume she is the manager, is from what I can tell a pretty poor leader. Some of the young staff that work there are fantastic! But unfortunately their supervisor puts them in a position to fail. The majority of the times that I have visited the store there have been arguments between the manager and the staff. Out on the front line. Makes for a pretty uncomfortable experience. The manager is the one who usually cashes me out. She is very kurt and acts as if she is really do you a favor. My order is the same overtime I visit. Which includes a iced tea with one scoop of ice. Every time she let's me know that it comes with two scoops. Gives me the whole "Ok I'll do it for you today" like it's a big favor for me. Are you serious! You have a repeat customer that obviously likes your product. All you need to do at this point is not mess it up. Right? Look I know that folks have good days and bad ones. Sounds like your current manager at this location has more bad than good, and is creating a culture that will drive customers (and staff) away. Yes I am only one customer.
