Mocha iced coffee

We love Bruegger's! The variety is so expansive; I would guess their menu is the most diverse of any bagel shop around central CT, and the quality is always excellent! We usually take our orders to go, but we ate in the other day and had a LOVELY server who was super informative and helpful!

A not toasted sad breakfast sandwich.

I ordered a whole wheat with 2 eggs and one cheese. I got a multigrain bagel with sausage egg and cheese. I don't eat pork. I went back in to get it remade. They prioritized new orders coming in over mine. The sandwich maker tried to put sausage on the sandwich again before I stopped him. Then when he was about to toast the sandwich, which while I was there watching I noticed they always put just one sandwich in the toaster at a time, they tried to toast with along with a sandwich covered in bacon and bacon on the side. I asked if they not toast mine with that because I can't have pork and instead of doing mine first they took mine off and was going to let the other one go first. I was over it then. Told them not to bother toasting it. This was supposed to be a quick stop with only three other costumers in the store. I had them not even cut it, just wrap it and give it to me. The food here has always been okay. Not amazing. Not great. Just good for a breakfast sandwich in a pinch. Oh also, my friends who actually wanted to come here used the bathroom and almost threw up with what he said was the smell of straight sewage. Not poop. Not pee. Sewage.

This wouldn't feed my 7 year old child

The Worst Bruegger's bagel in the State! The coffee at their place is ALWAYS COLD! It's Amazing how they can be SO Consistently Bad!

I'm becoming more and more convinced that Bruegger's customer care folks dont actually know what each other are doing.

I've waited a full 2 weeks to write this review. I had hoped that the District Manager would reach out to me to address what happened (I've submitted a review from their receipt system, and contacted corporate on social media as well) but that has not occurred. Two Fridays ago, a Bruegger's employee all but accused me of theft, and then subsequently loudly directed me to leave the store. The root cause of this incident was that the online order I had placed (and which was verified by another employee working that day as appearing on my app) had, for whatever reason, not yet shown up at the store itself. The order has also been verified by the Bruegger's staff who was handling the SM account I contacted the same day. The lack of attention to this matter of _Terrible_ customer treatment has cost Bruegger's not just the cost of one $6 sandwich (for which payment was never in question) but the loss of a 20+ year regular customer of this company. Technology can be flawed, and I had cash on me. I asked that the team please make my sandwich (hoping the online ordering system might catch up in the meantime), and the sandwich maker in question kept haranguing me about "YOU NEED TO PAY FOR YOUR SANDWICH". I have subsequently applied for a refund on the sandwich in question, as I paid cash for both the sandwich and the coffee which would have been free had it processed on the app. Contrary to typical Wallingford counter ordering, the sandwich maker in question (who was not the employee who actually made my sandwich...at least 4 employees were working in the store that day) hand-carried the sandwich to the register so I "had" to pay for it before receiving it. Typically, sandwiches made are handed to the customer who carries them to the register for payment. Clearly, this employee thought I looked nefarious. I'm sure Bruegger's can verify this via my online app - I've been a regular customer of this location since I moved here more than 7 years ago. I also have been an enjoyer of Bruegger's Bagels for at least 20 years, having been introduced to them in Troy NY. I dont see how - given the lack of response - that could be recovered. Luckily we now have more bagel options than we used to, so, I dont have to worry about changing bakeries. Make no mistake, I am utterly incensed by how this all has occurred. Also you should all know that the refunding system via the company-wide app is also slow, and I haven't heard from them either. I now need to figure out how to refund the balance on the app completely, as I don't think I'd ever need it again. Caveat Emptor. 4/21/23 - Based on "Robert B"s reply, I attempted to fill out the web form. IT BROKE. Brueggers, in all seriousness, WHAT are you doing?

i love Bruegger's Bagels, but after this, not sure I'll ever go back. my husband and i grabbed a couple of bagels to go and as we were eating them in the car on our way to a sport's event (hence why we could not go back to let staff know), he bit into his bagel and this came out. we assume it was a string of some sort, but nonetheless it was gross and would make anyone lose their appetite.

Solid food here for a chain. I hardly rate chains but wanted to give this place some props. I'll say the line was a bit long and the wait to get to the counter almost made me leave. That being said, I really wanted pumpkin coffee and a pumpkin bagel with pumpkin cream cheese (are you sensing a theme?). I love how the coffee is real pumpkin flavor without the sugary syrups. I ended up having ordering anxiety when I saw the farmhouse sandwich. It was delicious. That being said, I still had to get the pumpkin bagel.. after all, that's what I came here for... Man, I love the fall!

I will say that they were quick and efficient in making my bagel. I was in the area on Saturday morning due to an education test that I needed to take. I was a little early to the test center and I figured I might as well have something for breakfast, so off I went down the road. It was about an 8 minute 2.5 mile drive. It was easy to find, but the parking lot is not fun to get out of. Anyway, upon entering at 7 in the morning one of the employees was wearing her baby. This made my crunchy mama, baby wearing advocating, extended breastfeeding self extremely happy. As a mom who had to take a year off because it was difficult caring for a child and working, I was so excited to see this mom doing something amazing for herself and baby. My hats are tipped off to this Brueggers location for supporting their employee. The GM happened to be there that morning so it was an amazing experience. Way to go Brueggers! Now, if only your bagels looked as good as they do in the promotional photos.

As good a bagel as you can get in the area. Not quite the same as a New York bagel, but as close as you can come around here.

Just finished a full Philly cheesesteak and it definitely hit the spot. I went with onions,…read morepeppers, cherry peppers, and light mayo--the flavors were spot on. The Highlights: * Proportions: Excellent meat-to-topping ratio. They don't skimp on the steak, which is always the biggest test. * Flavor: The cherry peppers added a great kick that cut through the richness of the meat and mayo perfectly. * Quality: A really solid, hearty sandwich that feels worth the order. One Small Note: The full sub comes as one continuous sandwich. If you're looking to split it or just prefer smaller halves, you'll want to grab a knife or ask them to slice it for you, as mine came uncut. Overall, a great lunch spot if you're craving an authentic-feeling Philly. I'll definitely be back!

Krave Cheesesteaks has had a lot of good buzz from the CT Foodie, Blogger and Instagram Community…read more I was recently able to visit for lunch. I live in the Hartford area, Krave certainly has one of the better cheesesteaks within a reasonable driving distance. The seating area has two person tables. They were both full most of the time I was there. Luckily, one was opening up as my cheesesteak was done and I was able to eat there. They could fit one more 2 person table there, and that seems like a good idea from what I saw. Service was friendly. I ordered a cheesesteak, which automatically comes with onions, Cherry peppers, whiz and American Cheese. I added sweet peppers, mushrooms, Mamba Sauce (described as a sweet hot sauce) and mayo. The steak was obviously fresh. It was maybe cut a bit thicker and coarser than many places. My preference would be a touch thinner. I also could have used a bit more seasoning on the steak itself. I was looking forward to the cherry pepper flavor, but it didn't stand out. I wonder if they misunderstood and substituted the sweet peppers for the cherry peppers instead of including both. The bread was about average for a cheesesteak. I think there's an opportunity to level up there. The other toppings were generally good. I've heard good things about the "salmon steak" and the "shrimp steak". I'll possibly be back to try the shrimp steak at some point. 4.25 Stars

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.
