The problem? It's a sauna. Probably too close to 125 St train line to crack the door, the room is so hot! I almost didn't sit down, but wanted to give the place a try as I had been here during a winter weekend. The staff has one fan running from the back corner, but the lack of windows makes for an environment where everyone is productive and glistening. I've managed about 25 minutes to finish my coffee and get a breeze when someone enters but can't last much longer. AC must kick in at some point, and I'll come back

The design of the cafe is so intentional... the decor shows Rupsi's desire to have a space that radiates good vibes. I came here after a lackluster, first visit to the Ripped Bodice. This experience made me not regret my book trip to Brooklyn. From the moment I walked in, the solo bookseller was the kindest human ever. She was genuine and authentically engaged with me, as I shopped the small store. She literally made the visit. I came in with a coffee, so I wasn't able to try the cafe part of their spot, but I want to come back to try it and many other reasons too. I appreciate that, despite having a smaller inventory, they are very selective and intentional about the authors they sell, which in turns means they support. Their merch is so dope! I have enough totes, but I HAD to snag one of theirs to commemorate my visit here! I left happier than when I arrived!
