Awesome customer service, awesome food , and the ambiance is great!! They are very friendly and helpful, ask you several questions about the food. I highly recommend this place to go eat breakfast with friends and family. They are very hardworking and awesome!!!

Good place to drink coffee and have a simple meal. Food is not outstanding nor do the give big portions but it is edible. Wish portions were bigger for the price. Owner needs to be more generous with the portions so more people come in and also come back. Other than that, good strong coffee. Friendly staff. Tasty food that I won't complain about the taste.

Decent diner food, with okay service. Lots of cops come here. Don't be mislead like me...some of the yelp pics aren't from this restaurant; ( I came with my heart set on a breakfast with salmon cakes/croquettes, but they don't have them. Their plates are square, so any round plates in the pics aren't from here.

Stopped by this morning for breakfast, it was pretty good. Had the breakfast special that included eggs, pancakes, and beef sausages. Liked it all. Pancakes were a little over cooked, but they weren't the worse pancakes I've had. I'll definitely come back soon to try something different. The staff is nice and very helpful, its family friendly and lots of seating available.

Today my boyfriend and I stopped in for the first time. The place is small but very cute music is nice jazz. The menu is very affordable. I had a hazelnut coffee and the combo with pancakes and turkey bacon and a side of hash browns. Food was good like a home cooked breakfast coffee was excellent! Overall nice little stop in diner . Would recommend staff are also very friendly

Sadly I won't be a returning customer. I recently ordered a grilled chicken "Greek" salad for lunch. The salad was slightly wilted and the tomatoes looked like beef chunks. The chicken was good although some pieces were hard and slightly under cooked. the cucumbers were soft, the olives were green and pitted. The grilled pita bread was the best!! I will say the person who took my order was very sweet as was the delivery man. Unfortunately I really wished I enjoyed my meal because working in this area we are challenged finding good eateries.

Solid, neighborhood diner. I went on a Sunday morning. Good service, good food. They have good breakfast specials too.

Service: 10/10 The employees were very friendly. They were kind and had a nice smile on their face. That is what customers should be looking for when being approached by waiters or waitresses. They were very helpful with the menu option. Food: 10/10 I started with their hot chocolate with whipped cream. Man! It was delicious. The whipped cream, by the way, is optional. It does not automatically come with the hot chocolate. The texture was just right. I picked a good day to drink hot chocolate. I have also ordered their standard Belgian Waffles with a side of sausage. I have to admit, I was slightly disappointed with the quantity of the waffle. They only give you one. Additionally, you'd have to ask for the butter. Butter does not automatically come with the waffles. The syrup is or at least should already be on the table once you're seated. Even though I only got one waffle, it was delicious. Furthermore, you have the option to add whipped cream to the waffles. They will add the whipped cream to the waffles for you. The same can be applied to pancakes. When all is said and done, they will offer you a blow-pop lollipop. Overall 9.5/10 I will be back. I am unsure if they do reservations. It wouldn't be surprising if they did. Their menu options and pricing were reasonable.

This place was an amazing find for us. It looks like, and kind of feels like, a diner, but it's so much more. We were super excited to find Latin American cuisine favorites that we love and don't often find near home. I had a Cuban Medianoche sandwich that was served on absolutely excellent bread, with curly fries. My husband, the carnivore, ended up with some kind of multiple meat sandwich that came on the same amazing roll. (Before you think it's weird for me to rave about the ROLL, where we live in central PA, there is no good bread. Just saying!) I also had to get an order of tostones because I love them so much. They came with a garlic sauce that was intense and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I got the impression that this is a neighborhood joint with lots of regulars. There was lots of chatter and conversation among the people around us. Seriously, if you need food in the Bronx, this place is a great place to eat.

When I requested lemon and an additional brunch menu so my husband and I could each review the options, I learned that only one menu was provided for the table. Since I tend to take my time deciding what to order, having a second menu would have made the process much easier and more enjoyable for both of us. I asked for the menu and lemon he said he would come back and he NEVER did.. we had to ask for it twice . And at the time of ordering our meals it's then when they beamy us the lemons to squeeze into our glass of water. Food: I had the chicken and waffles . Nothing difficult to put together. However if you are going to state on your menu that it's chicharrón de pollo was bland no taste I had to ask for lime to give it some salty mess to it. My husband steak and eggs which came with rice. You cannot order a fresh carafe or pitcher of sangria with the fruit in it here, which is what I was expecting from a place headlining sangria. So your experience of the Sangria Cafe for sangria will come down to whether you like yours fortified. I like my sangria freshly made to order with just the wine and chopped fruit, but you may have a better experience at Sangria Cafe if you prefer fortified sangria. So the Manager, Elios, was superb. He told me he would let me taste the red, white and lychee versions to see which one I preferred. Given they are all fortified to an extent, I chose to order margaritas. I prefer mezcal margaritas, but they did not have mezcal at the time. So I went with the tequila classic. It was good and I had it to go for my evening at a cigar lounge. I also ordered food to go: the French cut pork chops with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and the braised beef short rib with small potatoes and broccoli. Here's a twist: the food was better than the adult beverage at a place emphasizing the latter. At all times, my server, Hector, was superb in his own right. Service is probably the strong suit at Sangria Cafe, followed by the food. The French cut pork chops taste like they have been marinated or at least brined. You will eat these down to the bone and you will pick up those bones to clean them. The garlic mashed potatoes were great too, but the asparagus was a bit overcooked. On balance, this $30 dish was satisfying and would have been better had they included a little gravy on the side for the mashed potatoes. The beef short rib at $38 was even tastier. I appreciate the chef took the time to get a good cut of short rib and trimmed the excess fat down to a leaner cut. The meat is inherently marbled with fat, so the flavor is already going to be as present as the savory tenderness. If you dine at a restaurant where there is excess fat on the beef short rib, know the chef there is not putting in the work to trim all that fat. Coudos to the chefs in the Sangria Cafe kitchen for their trimming work. This is even better than the pork chops and you'll savor every bite. The broccoli was overcooked here, so the chefs could restrain themselves on the cooking time for the veggies. The small potatoes were perfect and what is not to like about marbled beef and potatoes. Here they have a little gravy with cooked onions to add to the savory pleasure. The Sangria Cafe is a great place to come with friends. This place will see lots of action as the weather warms. The atmosphere is upbeat and the music is in full swing. This is a Latino and Afro Latino crowd. The kitchen and service are very good here. Perhaps I'm in the minority preferring nonfortified sangria, but I wish that were an option with the chopped fruit in it. Perhaps the majority prefers the fortified hit, but it would be nice to have it more relaxed with just the wine as summer approaches or at any time of the year. Please keep the mezcal in stock as SOP for the mezcal margs. Thanks to Elios, Hector and the chefs in the kitchen. 3.5 stars.
