Wish I could have given Bruninas 5stars but unfortunately the seafood salad and service was not so great. The seafood salad needed lemon in the worst way it was just too heavy on the oil. Our server was barely around but thankfully he had some help from the runners to pick up the slack they were amazing. Now enough of the complaints my lasagna was perfect. Asked for more bread to clean my bowl with the incredible short rib ragu!. We were so impressed with the menu. Tasted like Nonna's cooking. The wait staff was wonderful, we never had an empty glass. She directed us to two great gnocchi entrees that were obviously house made. We came in late in the evening and the ambiance was still warm and welcoming. The eggplant parmesan was sliced super thin and easy to eat. It was not greasy. It was a regular sized portion served over penne. The sauce was superb with a slightly sweet tinge. There was a large piece of fresh mozzarella on top. By the time I was able to eat it, it was not hot, so the pictures don't do it any justice. The three pieces of bread were excellent and fresh as well. The only thing missing was the dipping sauce or so wish maybe some butter would have been included if the dipping sauce could not be. I did take out. It was super busy & all of the close up parking was full, but since it is in a plaza, there was plenty of additional parking. The service was prompt, efficient & quick to pay. The outdoor ambiance was nice & everyone seemed happy to be outside dining in such perfect weather. All of the menu looks amazing so it was difficult to choose. I think dining in would be better (in my opinion), but I would like to go when it is quiet. I like peace and quiet. I have eaten here before, however, what I must enjoy is ordering a cauliflower crust pizza. I get it with the regular cheese and pepperoni and to me it is comparable to eating a regular pizza, but without the filling gluten dough crust. Why do I prefer to take it home? First, the pork chop is incredible! No, it's not the healthiest item on the menu, but it's worth the caloric splurge. It's a bone-in pork chop covered with cheese and prosciutto, then breaded. Crispy on the outside; moist and creamy on the inside. It comes on a bed of excellent fettuccini with a mushroom sauce that pairs perfectly with the pork chop. The Margherita pizza was exactly the way we like it - seems too light and fresh to be pizza, but offers full flavor. Seafood pesto pasta was another favorite at the table. Sometimes pesto can be too oily of the seafood doesn't meet expectations. People in Naples know good seafood, so they are using the good stuff, and the pesto is like homemade. OK, so everyone loved their meal at Brunina's, and we actually went back for seconds within a week. 5 Stars again! Along with the items above, we loved the Gnocchi (homemade!), the Bolognese, the chicken parm, and several appetizers. As a final note, one member of our party has diet restrictions: Gluten free, and no dairy. They were able to offer gluten free pasta alternatives, and the server knew the menu very well - knowing which sauces and entrees could be made without dairy by the kitchen. So impressed. Started out with the bread basket with enough oil to dip. I also requested butter as well. (Can refill that basket if necessary) Bread was very good! The cup of Pasta Fagioli (Pasta Fazool to us New Yorkers now living in Naples) was very good. Added some Parmesan to liven it up a bit. The salad was a nice size and looked great. Wasn't excited about the Italian dressing. No homemade dressing here. May want to try another kind. The Eggplant sandwich we ordered without the traditional bread was very good. Very thin slices in a very good tomato sauce with lots of mozzarella. (Mutzarell) We were very pleased with the food even getting used to the Blackened Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo sauce not being white in color. Was told that it was from the blackened chicken. but again, a generous, very reasonable. good tasting dish despite that. When in the area again next time, will try a pizza. If I can give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. First of all, the owner who was situated near the front desk has 0 personality, and basically ignores incoming and outgoing customers. We were 2 couples dining. The service was slow at best. Three of us ordered the gnocchi ragu with diced beef in a cherry tomatoes sauce. What we got was gnocchi over pieces of beef (like a pot roast) in nothing that resembled a red sauce. It was in a clear (almost water) broth. Absolutely terrible. So disappointed in our meals and the service. Of course the large table next to us (that appeared to be family) did not lack attention. This is the 2nd bad experience here. There will not be a third. This is suppose to be an good Italian restaurant. Labeling it as such doesn't make it so. Hopefully, for their sake, they will improve the quality of their food and service. read more

We placed an order for takeout last week which included an antipasto/charcuterie. The menu specified meats, cheeses, and olives. When we received the order there was no cheese and 1 crostini. We called and asked about this and were told that the kitchen gets busy between 6 - 7 and mistakes happen and they might have run out of cheese. Seriously? Why not mention that there isn't any cheese and they will replace it with another item.? Customer service was terrible and we will never order from there again. read more

We have been to this lovely restaurant several times. There are plenty of servers and support staff. I do prefer seating in the back by the small bar area. Very nice ambience there for a date night. The menu offers a nice variety from pizzas and appetizers to wonderful pastas, seafood and meatier selections. One of our party had a sturdy (meaning plenty of cheese and meat) lasagne, another had linguini with bolognese sauce and I had the specialty fried pork chop over polenta at my request. The food is remarkable...so many tempting options. Four of us each picked something different and everything was fabulous. The complementary bread is outstanding with a little Italian butter added. FOOD: I had the eggplant parm. Meh. Not bad but you're not going to rave to your friends about it either. People giving the 5 star reviews must be from the midwest or something because it was average at best! SERVICE: Our waiter was very young so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt here. Basically, the night started with him pouring a wine bottle size of water into 5 water glasses. Rather than just immediately get more water, he tried to give us each an equal amount of water which was roughly the amount of a generous pour of bourbon. We had to ask multiple times for another place setting and more water! He also failed to mention that the entree came with a choice of soup or salad which caused an issue at my table that I won't even bother to explain. It was mostly pretty annoying but again he was really young and totally in over his head. I blame management more than him. AMBIENCE: OK. Loud inside but thank goodness we weren't seated on the sidewalk right in front of car grills pulling in and out! Yes the prices are reasonable compared to what else is around, but I have to wonder what all the other reviewers were smoking when they gave this place five stars.
