This place is a class act. They really care about customer satisfaction and are in point with service. The food is always well prepared. I really enjoy their lamb chops. The only reason that I am giving this one less star is because they don't deliver and don't use a company to allow you to order for pickup online. Read all the positive reviews and gave it a shot. The food was a disaster, but that is not the only reason for the poor review. Unless we were willing to wait 20 min they were unable to honor our reservation, so we agreed to sit in the banquet room, which is sterile and devoid of charm, not unlike a school cafeteria. That would not have mattered so much but for the fact our we waited 20 minutes for our server to decide to ask us if we were ready to order. The time from order to delivery of the main course was about an hour. In between they brought our salads, which were limp and devoid of any imagination. As for the main course I had the pork chops, which were overcooked and dried out. It was like eating warmed up leftovers. Worse still they were super over salted - kind of like taking in a gulp of the Jersey shore with each bite. My wife's halibut was very average in taste and the plate looked thrown together. The vegetables were room temperature and also overcooked. Nothing worse than limp string beans. The one positive is that the potatoes held up and were OK. We passed on dessert as the dessert plate looked a few days old and none of the offerings begged to be eaten. Service? Please. We were neglected and taken for granted. It is New Years Eve and we went with some friends to eat an early dinner at Brunos. We are always happy with the food and the service is usually ok. However, tonight was awful. Ordered clams casino and they were really dry. Food was just ok and we were disappointed. The worst part was that they had overbooked the reservations. We were sitting there with our friends finishing our coffee and talking and the owner comes up to us and tells us that we have to leave since they needed tables!!! We were shocked! Ate here with another couple on a busy Friday night. Started with excellent bruschetta, which was complimentary. Bread placed on the table was top notch. Had the pasta fagoli soup for starters and it was good. My entree was the ma-hi- ma-hi special which was good. The entrees come with a small shared side dish of vegetables and potatoes. The entrees run anywhere from $20 to $25 and the portions are not big. The service was excellent from start to finish. We got complimentary anisette with our desserts. While everything was good to very good, nothing blew me way about the food. But overall, it was a very good dining experience if a little on the pricey side, even with the BYOB. read more

My favorites are the cajun calamari appetizer and the mushroom ravioli which is just bursting with fresh mushrooms. Its also BYOB, which is always a plus. Have been here many times. Have frequented all of the Italian restaurants nearby and in the general vicinity. Best one in the area. Very friendly owner and staff. Excellent food with ample portion sizes. Sauces are great. Nice selection on the menu and great specials. They don't rush you. Other Italian restaurants in the area such as Alfies and Prezzo's don't come close to this quality. One other thing; I hate when restaurants try to clear your plate when others are still eating. They should clear plates when everyone at the table is finished eating. Bruno does it the right way. Only clear when all are finished. I recommend this place very highly. read more

A warm welcome and handshake at the front door by the owner was much appreciated as was the tasty bruschetta we received shortly after arrival. Unfortunately, things went somewhat south thereafter. It was a very long wait until the Caesar salad and New England clam chowder arrived. The chowder had very little seafood. It was more like a vegetable concoction. The salad was just alright. For entrees, we had the halibut special. That was very good, but perched on nondescript spinach. Forget presentation. Vegetables on a side plate were all overcooked and seemed lukewarm. The lobster ravioli was a big disappointment. What lobster there was, was tough and chewy. We had to ask for bread much later in the meal. My dining companion rated the meal a 2. I rated mine a 4. I have ordered from here twice for lunch and have yet to be disappointed. The first time I ordered the chicken francese from the lunch menu I was taken away with the size of the meal. The bruschetta that came out when we first sat down was delicious and so was the Cesar salad so I had high hopes. The owner is very friendly but I didn't get the same vibe from the other servers. I ordered the seafood linguine (clams, muscles, shrimp, calamari and scallops with linguine and marinara sauce), the clams were very sandy and gritty to eat and the calamari, shrimp and scallops were frozen. After we were done eating we were ready to order desert but the waiter never came back. We eventually waited too long and after reflecting our dinner we figured we were better off to pass. We then asked for the check and the young girl at the front counter wrote us our check but didn't bring it to our table, we watched her place it next to her while she just gazed out the window and someone else had to bring it. Our table was one of three, no other waiters were working since one table just put in their food and the other was a large party so they were more chatting rather than looking things over so I'm not sure why she couldn't bring us our check or why no one else could check in on us. Lets start with the moment we walked in the door. Bruno himself greets us and escorts us to the table. Yes one of the owners. Ya see, at Bruno's, the owner is the main waiter and hostess all in one. Warm bread arrives shortly after with a nice triangle shaped small plate of butter. We had a party of six. Four adults and two young ladies ages 12 and 16. We ordered a dozen oysters and they were fresh and perfect. We ordered the following entrees. The young ladies ordered the Salmon and Ricotta Cheese Gnocchi except substituted it with Linguini. Personally, I am not a Salmon fan at all, but it was grilled to perfection, very mild, and melted in my mouth. The Ricotta Cheese Linguini was awesome. I have never seen my daughter eat an entire plate of any pasta dish until this one. I was in awe that she could eat such a huge portion of pasta. I was able to steal one bite and I understood why. The sauce was phenomenal. One to remember. Mr. K ordered the veal chop; it was excellent. Mrs. K ordered one of the specials for the night; Chilean Sea Bass and she said it was a the best she had. My wife ordered the Penne and once again; fantastic. The special I had was the Veal Chop pounded out and made parmesan style. Holy young cow!!!! It filled out the plate and everything about it was spot on. The sauce perfect, the quality of mozzarella was excellent, and the amount of cheese was portioned just right and not to much like a lot of places. Now for the dessert; we ordered 4 different desserts to pass around and share. The Tiramisu, Spumoni, Chocolate Ganache, and a marbled cheesecake all excellent. Couldn't pick a favorite. Can't go wrong with any of them. The adults also had expressos, which came with a twist of lemon rind. All prices were reasonable for the quality and service. No buyers remorse. Worth every penny. First time visit based on Yelp reviews. We were greeted upon entering and seated quickly even though we didn't have a reservation. Our wine was immediately opened and poured. Prior to ordering we were given complimentary bruschetta which was very good. We were then told the specials and given time to decide. My wife ordered Little Neck Clams as an appetizer and Linguini with Seafood as a main course. I ordered Pasta Fagioli as an appetizer and Chicken Giambotta as a main dish. The appetizers came out in a timely manner and the main dishes came out as soon as we finished the appetizers. Dishes were continuously cleaned off the table and water and wine were always made sure to be filled. The food was plentiful and we both thought our dishes were tasty. We ordered coffee and shared a almond shelled cannoli that was stuffed with a sweet ricotta cheese filling. Very good. All of this for $80. Not a bad value. Cozy place in a strip mall in Warren. We ordered the cold antipasto, which consisted of Italian meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, roasted peppers, and olives over mixed greens. Definitely enough for two or three people to share. The bread was served warm, which is always a plus in my book. My friend had the stuffed chicken, which was nicely prepared. I had the scallops and shrimp over risotto. This dish was very disappointing. The scallops were tiny and rubbery. The shrimp tasted good but were a little overcooked. The risotto was cooked correctly but was a little too rich with a thick butter sauce at the bottom of the plate. I ordered the Tartuffo for dessert, which was awesome. Espresso was also very good. The place is BYOB, which is always a plus. They also give you after dinner drinks, which is a nice gesture. Service was somewhat slow as it seems the owner is the only person who takes orders, but he was cordial and made sure to greet us when we walked in and to say good bye when we left. The owner needs to do something about the table by the window.
