You pick your protein (beef, chicken, lamb, roast pork, fish, shrimp) then decide if you want it on a bun, over rice, on a salad, or on a platter, and add any of a whole bunch of toppings like onions, pickles, beans, fried egg, pico, bacon, mushrooms, jalapeños and others. Or you can build tacos! The angus burger is vey good. The fries are pretty standard, but the onion rings are thick, crispy and flavorful. I always have too many. The slow roasted pork is very good, and I always get it over the white rice, which is tossed with olive oil and cilantro. The rice is very aromatic,I think it's basmati.I also like the salmon, but sometimes it can be a little dry. This is probably due to getting it to go and it steams more in the packaging. We also really like the tacos, having tried the shrimp version, AND the fish tacos, AND the chicken, AND the pork. After waiting a few minutes, someone who appeared to be a runner or assistant eventually approached us. We had a reservation and were offered a high-top; when we asked for a regular table, it felt like a reluctant accommodation. We were brought bread, butter, olives, and an eggplant caponata that was extremely oily. We booked through OpenTable because we had an $80 reward card, and the restaurant loudly advertises a prix fixe menu on its website. Oddly, we were never offered the prix fixe menu, and we noticed no other diners were either. It felt intentionally hidden. When we asked for it, the waiter (Hector) seemed visibly annoyed. We ordered eggplant rollatini and shrimp appetizers, and the angry chicken parm as the entrée. If you order off the prix fixe menu, expect noticeably smaller portions. Two pieces of eggplant rollatini instead of three, about a third of the usual shrimp portion, a tiny piece of chicken parm, and a small cannoli. At $55 per person, that feels excessive. The chicken parm was thin, burnt, and came out slightly cold. Easily a 2/5. They also charge for soda refills, which genuinely surprised me. I dine out frequently and almost never see that anymore. When the bill came, we tried to use the OpenTable reward card and were told the waiter had never seen one before. There was supposedly no manager on duty, and we were told the card couldn't be accepted and that we had to put the full amount on a credit card instead. Between the unfocused service, the awkward handling of the prix fixe menu, and food that didn't come close to justifying the price, this was not a good experience.
