We had a wonderful time at Brunswick manor. The people that took care of everything we needed. We stayed in the downing room and it was filled with all types of antiques and pictures of dogs in formal dress. Very nice. The breakfasts we had were very good. Enjoyed the time there very much. It is worth the time to find this b and b. One thing about the downing room and the shower in the bathroom. The hot and cold water in the shower are switched. Just for future reference. The Brunswick manor is a lovely place to stay when it comes to a bed and breakfast. Having seen it on the travel channel with its extreme Christmas tree I knew I wanted to make the trip. Exceptional decorations and truly lovely antique furniture, you know you are in a grand home. Breakfast served beautifully on china in the dining room. Fun time, great hospitality and yummy food. Stayed in the Downing suite and the bed, bedding and pillows were all very comfortable. There was plenty of. Loser space, sitting area to get ready, unique, fun and interesting decor all through out the house. Rusty gave good recommendations and was very accommodating to requests. There's also free drinks, non and alcoholic, lots of different sitting areas outside and Henry the cat! :) There's a lot of history in the area and overall I highly recommend a visit here and to the surrounding islands/area. I'm hound and like to explore and have fun,this was a great balance of things to see, drinks and live music, beaches, restaurants, history and shopping. A marvelous home filled with history. If you enjoy stepping back in time, then this B&B is for you. Thomas was the innkeeper for our two night stay. A very polite young man who not only made us feel so welcomed, went the extra mile to make our stay most memorable. And can this young man prepare breakfast. Staying two nights treated us to two of the best morning meals we've had in quite sometime. The manor is located in a very quiet part of town. Just around the corner is the Yellow Deli. Do not stay here! If you like dirty bedding, concrete like mattresses and bad food this is your place! Upon arrival the outside and inside of the building was picturesque however upon closer inspection of the room we rented, the bedding was dirty (top sheet, fitted sheet as well as mattress protector). Even after changing the pillowcases, they stunk of sweat. We tried to shower and only half of the water pressure came out of the shower head and the rest came from the spout causing an uncomfortable shower experience. When we moved the magazines on the chaise in front of the bed we noticed that they were strategically placed to hide the stains. The next morning our breakfast consisted of hard biscuits and sour fruit. After notifying them of everything they stopped responding to my request for a refund of the nights we didn't stay. Do not trust this B&B with your time or your money. NOT WORTH IT! read more

Loved our stay at this historic BnB during the holidays. They has a spectacular Christmas tree adorned with 3000 antique glass ornaments! Breakfast was delicious, comfortable rooms and large outdoor porch to lounge in. We were especially happy we could bring our dog and she was made welcome. read more

We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over wine in the evening and eating breakfast together in the morning. The breakfast was superb. Very rustic, and historical BnB. Stayed in the Cumberland room. Very spacious. Comfortable King sized bed. Private bathroom. Flat screen TV. Clean, And eclectic. No individual AC control for the room. Almost like an English manor, or museum with all the antique decorative pieces, and art. Open wine bar. Breakfast was great! The live in, innkeeper Tracey was very helpful, accommodating, friendly, and gave great info on places to visit and eat. Limited off Street parking, but plenty of on street in front. A nice koi pond and orchid greenhouse, with statues about the property add to the feel. Pet friendly BnB, and a few kitties roam the property. Very conveniently located to St Simons Island. Nothing bad to say about this place at all! If they had a pool I would give 5 stars! read more

I'm local and was celebrating a big birthday. I wanted to do something special, so I invited some dear friends from out of town and we spent the weekend at the Manor, in the three upstairs rooms - Downing, Sea Island, and Cumberland. What a wonderful experience! It's very conveniently located. The rooms are beautiful, very comfortable (we all slept like rocks), spotless, and well stocked. The house is gorgeous and a feast for the eyes. And the breakfasts were DELISH! Rusty was the consummate host - charming, funny, welcoming but not intrusive. My friends were delighted with the experience as well. I may never get them to come to my house when they visit, now that they know the Manor is there, ready and waiting for them. And I'm going to try and find a good excuse to go back as soon as I can! read more

Very nice large front porch for relaxing with a drink and talking with other guests. Sort of normal atmosphere for old fashioned B&B's. Bill, the host was extremely friendly and fixed a mean breakfast each day. Complimentary wine from 4-5pm each day. Supposed to be a snack too, but it never appeared. Nice place. read more

We ended up staying at Brunswick Manor after the folks over at the Hostel in the Forest messed up our reservations. While we were a little disappointed that we wouldn't be staying in the woods that night, those feelings of disappointment quickly dissipated as we arrived at our "Plan B" for the night, the spectacularly beautiful Brunswick Manor. Rusty welcomed us warmly & we brought our things up to our quirky room, complete with dog paintings all over the walls & other unique decor. We enjoyed complimentary wine out on the porch swing while watching the kitties roam around as the sun set. Breakfast the next morning was super tasty & the guests were all friendly and sweet. I would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone traveling through the area! Thanks for the hospitality, Rusty! read more

Not typical of your fancy hotel with gadgets the Brunswick Manor has something even better. Honest history, a sense of "being" there and the soft music of the 20's & 30's in the background. The decor is of the time and you can spend hours taking it all in and be swept back in time to a less hectic era. More importantly, Thomas and Bill there to make it an all around fantastic place to stay. Can't wait to see them again, as they are now a part of the family (as far as we are concerned). They even made room for our granddaughter to stay the night in our room with us and set a place for her at breakfast. They treated that little 6 year old like a princess, and she absolutely loved it. I am going to miss the mornings on the beautiful front porch, with a cup of coffee and watching the sun lift the dark away from the moss covered majestic trees on the property and the park across the street. Can't get down there as much as we like, to visit our granddaughters and our son and daughter in law, but when we do, we will be staying at the Brunswick Manor from now on. Wish we didn't have to come home so soon, but when we are able to go back, we have another "home" waiting for us. read more

Extremely charming B & B. It's in a beautiful, old historical area of town. The manor itself is packed with history. The yard is gorgeous and the front porch is lovely for reading and relaxing. The Sea Island suite is spacious and the king sized bed was comfortable. The whole house is very dark which was only an issue in trying to get ready in the morning. Honestly the bathroom in this suite is pretty bad. Everything is miniature sized (tub, sink, toilet). No lid on the toilet which only flushed (kind of) about half the time, crappy water pressure, and no cold water in the sink, only hot. Also there's a full kitchenette in the room which can't be used, it's only for show which is really weird. Of course I wasn't expecting a kitchenette in a B & B and did not need one but they just need to get rid of that in my opinion. Heather who was the innkeeper the days we were there was very accommodating and sweet and her breakfasts were delicious. The bathroom certainly isn't enough to keep me from coming back but I'd try a different suite next time. We were the only guests there the second night because it was a Monday so Heather let us poke our heads in and take a look at the other suites and they're all very pretty.
