Needed dinner on the go the other night for our family, so we randomly picked this place since it was nearby. We got a cheese pie with meatballs and a white. Classic NJ pizza and delicious. No complaints. Ordered online and it was ready when we got there. Friendly, quick service. Place is spacious and has plenty of seating, but we took it to go. I ordered from here a few times with no problem's. Today I received my Pizza and all the toppings were on one side of the pizza and in the box. Without blaming the driver I called to inform the shop that the food wasn't edible. To my surprise the pizza shop stated we turned the pizza over upside down and tried to say the driver had no fault. He had the nerve to tell me my son messed up the pizza. I asked for a refund which they denied and sent a new Pizza. Today the staff showed themselves to be r@cist and openly mistreat a Black woman in front of her 5 year old daughter while she was there to make a purchase. We don't throw accusations around lightly but that's what it is. I can't attest to many of the reviews and most of the items on the menu, but this has been my go-to place for just one item: the Eggplant Parm Hero. Something about this place where the eggplant parm hero is just so good. The cheese, size of the hero (get half even if you're splitting with someone else), and the eggplant itself is just awesome. I don't even come here for the pizza or really anything else outside of occasional garlic knots, but this is the go-to for the hero. It'll take around 15 minutes or so to make, so do call in. When you enter, you'll think you're flashing back to the early 90s/late 80s with the decor, seating, old school menu, and TV, but it's got a charm to it. You don't see too many pizzerias in suburbia like this. I'd see it occasionally at my pizza shops when I'd live in NYC, but even those are going away for more hip, modern looks. Oh - the price isn't too shabby either. Maybe it's because I'm getting 1/2, but for $8 or so, good deal. read more

Food is always hot when we receive it and delivery is fast. Their pizza is really good, just as good as pizza over in north Jersey area, crust is crispy and thin which I love. I like that they don't put any kind of breading or flour on their wings. Only one time so far they are overcooked but I for me that's not a deal breaker, they're still really good. Today my Husband and I ordered, two Beef Gyros, Onion Rings, Chili Dog and a Chef Salad. The Gyro has to be the best I have ever tasted. The beef is delicious and perfectly seasoned and there is lettuce and tomato and Tsaziki Sauce and atop of that is Oregano. I love this so much and I am ordering this next time. The Onion Rings, they are fried and they are thick sliced and reminded me of the onion rings, I had at the Seaside Boardwalk of yesteryear. My Husband loved his Chili Dog and he also agreed, the Onion Rings are the best he has tasted. We had our food delivered and I was able to add the tip to the credit card that I used. The order arrived within 20 minutes, amazing! The driver always thanks us for our generous tips that we give. I am recovering from foot/ankle surgery and this is so perfect that they have such delicious food and the menu is large but not scary large. If you do not want onions on something or if you want to omit anything from the salad, there is never a problem. Customers get what they want. I had a strange request with my last order when I placed my Cheesesteak Sandwich, I wanted American Cheese on and there was no problem. I just was not in the mood for Cheddar Cheese that day as I had some in our breakfast eggs that I made earlier that morning. I mean really, this has to be the best food around! I never had a bad experience ordering food from Brunswick Pizza & Grill on Route 27, North Brunswick, NJ. They are located next to Buy Rite Liquors and Provident Bank. A 15 count of wings ($9.95) and 2 large pizzas ($23, it was a coupon in their menu) was ordered. The one pizza was a little more because there was pepperoni. The wings were great. I usually get the cheese pizza and wing special as my 'go to'. The pizza has a thinner crispy crust, extra large cut slices and good portions of cheese and sauce. Always happy with the consistent quality. Overall, they make a good Jersey pizza. As for the wings, I'm a personal fan of BBQ sauce on them. Very sweet, not too sticky nor overly sauced. I have NEVER in my life cursed at a service person. Until now. This was BY FAR the WORST customer service I have ever gotten. To start, I order a pizza for delivery. Complicated? I think not. But somehow the girl taking my order seems to think it's brain surgery so it takes nearly 15 minutes to get her to understand a pizza and bread sticks. Ok..... Next, the delivery guy calls me (after an hour) to say that he can't find my address at 178, but that he's made it as far as 102 and isn't that close enough?? WTF! Sorry, monsieur, but I'm staying at a hotel and no, I can't give you directions, because wait! I'm at a hotel! 20 minutes later, the driver calls back, announcing happily that he's at 102 again. Ummm... sorry, I'm still not there! In his defense, the poor driver barely spoke English, but if we can't understand each other and I don't know how to give him directions what's the point in calling? No matter how new the dude may be to New Brunswick, I can guarantee it's longer than the 3 miserable hours I've spent here thusfar. I've been meaning to review this place, and after a recent disappointment elsewhere, I realized I need to call out a more outstanding pizzeria, although from an old neighborhood. I have not one complaint about this place. I'm surprised it hasn't been reviewed before. I lived in the area for 2.5 years and was a loyal customer and so often ordered pizza from here. Always outstanding, always delivered hot, great flavor, sauce, cheese, crust, plentiful toppings, etc. I always tipped nicely the older Italian gentlemean that always delivered to my apt as he was well deserving. I normally ordered strictly pizza - their regular crust and sometimes the sicilian - always a great freakin' pie. I also ordered wings a few times for visiting females that have an affinity for such, and they always seemed to enjoy those as well. Not a bad Italian Pizzeria spot! Stopped by here one time after a nice hard workout at the gym ;) Needed some protein so decided to get stromboli with spinach, chicken, meatball, and pepperoni inside. I asked for extra marinara sauce on the side. I inhaled the whole thing in 6 minutes. ;) I picked up a couple slices of buffalo chicken pizza since my girl loves that stuff. She toasted it when she got home, and she enjoyed it. She loves the buffalo sauce that they use. I was glad to hit this place up, I never even thought about going here since I have so many Italian pizzerias near my home. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger w/ saute onions, they forget to give the onions. The owner only offered for us to bring the burger back to add the saute onions, and refused to make a fresh burger. I live right down the street so I always pick up, my food is always hot and tasty. I order the 18" pies as well as tuna subs (lettuce, tomato, toasted bread) and Jalapeño poppers. I tend to be a creature of habit but sometimes I get radical and order a dinner, everything is always delicious! It's a father/son operation for the most part and as a regular you get to know the disposition of your favorite haunt, these guys are super friendly, we always chit chat but it's always busy so we keep it moving. Worst white pizza I've ever had, and I love white pizza! My mistake was ordering it with eggplant and tomatoes. Apparently, both are added after the pizza came out of the oven, not baked on. That's not a terrible thing when it comes to basic diced salad tomatoes sprinkled on a pie, but the eggplant must have just been deep fried and placed on the pizza. The result: a pizza soaked in fryer oil! I'm not one to use the term "literally" alot, but this pizza literally tasted like deep fry oil. The pieces of eggplant were crispy on the outside, but held a horrible secret when bitten into (or peeled off as I vainly tried save the rest of the pie from greasy hell): a pocket of oil was trapped inside each piece of eggplant! My regret deepens by the minute. I'm seriously considering going bulemic after this one in order to cut my losses. I probably won't go back again. read more

Side note: I could be wrong but I feel as if this place may be under new management. The person who answered the phone and the person who took my order (a little dry but nice) both had accents as well as the delivery guy, but I remember the owner and everyone working there sounding to be native Jerzian. Pizza this time around, fantastic! The pizza was delivered fairly quickly. Pizzas were huge compared to the personal sized pies offered by the other establishments in the neighborhood. Crust was thin, crispy and not salty. Toppings were fresh and very generous. The white pizza which seems hard for some shops to nail was executed very well. Prices were fairly reasonable as well. To top it all off, I looked like a hero...everyone asked where I ordered them from because they enjoyed their slices so much. I think Brunswick Grill needs to bump up their advertising strategy a bit to get the word out because they really have a great product but even my friends and their families who live 2 min up the road have never heard of them. I only knew they were still around because I frequent the liquor store next door. Visiting my parents this week and went to order pizza from my LPS, but their phone line was not working, so I searched around and found Brunswick Pizza, which has 4 stars, decided to give it a try. Pizzas were really good. No, seriously. I normally like thin crust and am not a huge fan of thick crust, but their Sicilian pie is really good. Crust is not too light, not too dense, right amount of sauce and toppings. Also got a thin crust pepperoni...also very good. Chicken parm was decent, Stromboli's were ok, salads were enormous, with crisp lettuce (= fresh, not sitting around all day). Maybe a few minor tweaks to the parm or boli's and I'd rate them higher, but for sure you won't be disappointed by their pizzas. read more
