After being in the area for almost a year, I was so excited to finally try Ninos. With many spectacular reviews both online and through those I've spoken to in person, I had such high hopes that I was going to find my new go-to pizza spot, but I don't think I will ever return after this encounter. We dined in on a snowy evening when there were no other patrons in the restaurant. Very few stopped in to grab to-go orders, but we were the only group to actually sit and eat dinner here. Upon reaching the counter in search of a menu, our first negative encounter occurred. We asked an employee if we could see a menu, and he dismissed us quite quickly in a rude manner, telling us to look on the counter as if we were blind. No menus there, nothing was there actually, leaving us standing confused. Once he realized his mistake, menus were thrown onto the counter without another word spoken. During this time a family did walk into the restaurant to pick up a to-go orders, which was not yet prepared, leaving them to stand and wait. When we decided on our order and approached the counter once again, we were told we had to wait 5 minutes for them to take our order. Understandable if the restaurant was busy and the front of house staff were in the middle of doing something, but no - the person who told us to wait 5 minutes was just standing there, doing nothing. This employee was not actively making the other guest's order (as there was a back kitchen responsible for that), leaving us even more confused as to why we had to stand there waiting, face to face with the employee, who was just standing and staring at us. After a few minutes of standing in confusion, the other employee who we encountered prior began arguing with this one, in front of the guests waiting for food, leaving us in a very awkward position. Only after the employee was scolded by his coworker was our order officially taken down. Once we received our food we sat at the few tables Ninos had to enjoy our meal. Throughout our dinner the two workers remained arguing with each other, outwardly discussing staffing issues and leaving us to feel unwelcome. Upon leaving, we packed up our leftovers and returned to the counter in search of a bag to place our food in. When asking the staff for a bag, we were thrown a stack of paper bags and told to take what we needed. Since the bag looked to be on the smaller end, we asked if this bag would fit the aluminum tray of food that we had leftover, to which the staff replied "I don't know, go figure it out for yourself." The food was decent, the pizza was crispy but nothing to write home about. During the time we dined in the options for pizza were a bit limited (understandably). The penne vodka was just okay, we felt as if it was pretty bland and heavy on the cream. The best thing consumed here was the Philly cheesesteak - messy and cheesy in the best way, but also lacking flavor and could have used a sharper cheese or even some salt. The bread was fresh and soft, which would be great for other hero sandwiches they serve. With the food being mediocre and the service horrific, we definitely did not feel welcome when dining in here. Throwing items at customers seems to be a common activity here, along with dismissive remarks and constant arguing between the staff making you feel as if you've intruded on personal matters. If the service were better my group would have considered returning, but this experience has left a bad taste in our mouths overall. read more

Seems like overall good pizza. The staff is nice to me. And it's pretty easy to get to, right next to a Krauser. Never a lot of people inside but you see the amount of pick ups they have. The price is out of league, I think. There are other shops around, not as expensive and for better pizza. Just a heads up. read more

Ninos is definitely North Brunswick best pizzeria.... The owner is a cool guy , the staff is always on positive vibes and good spirits which is the best ingredients in any meal.. Their garlic knots and pizza are the best! I love their penne ala vodka too. They have so many things I like, since I've been going there since I was five years old back in the 1990's. That is friendly and the service is always fast. Truly an Italian restaurant. Decorated nice too! read more

Ninos is consistently fresh and delicious. We have had the grandma, which is garlicky and crunchy by the crust. The center can be soggy, but I don't mind because they aren't skimping out on the toppings. We have also had the cheesesteak slice/pizza, which is awesome! It can be expensive, but it's basically a Stromboli. My only wish is that they delivered! read more

I first are here in 1980, I was a student at a tech company. I would come in Sunday night, get a large pepperoni pie and sausage parm sub, it would last most of the week. This is a North Brunswick Pizza institution, owned and operated by a local family for two generations. A spot locals come for a quick bite. The decor is clean and comfortable, not pretentious at all. Pizza is my go to when I'm in a new area for work and I've ate just about every place in the Brunswick area and this is the best by a mile

Food is always good, people are friendly the only problem I had is outside of this. Today when I paid I used my debit card instead of paying cash like I have every other time this was around 12:15pm today. The employee made a big deal about it being a NASA Card (my mom worked at Nasa & I have had an account there since 10th grade) By 1:30pm someone had attempted to use my card for a $1,339 AT&T purchase that was declined three times then used some Delta D account to charge $799.60 and unfortunately the second attempt work. I just came from the location and and all I had was smoke blown up my but. Either an employee or patron did something and they have a camera inside the store but was told the owner has the key. If the owner would just let me know when he will be there I will show up and we can handle this like gentlemen. I have been going to this place for over 5 years and work near by. This time I had the Penne Vodka with grilled chicken and a slice of pepperoni pizza. My thoughts remain the same based on my previous review regarding the pizza (have to love consistency). For the Penne Vodka, it was a lot of pasta especially given the price ($15.95?). The vodka sauce was creamy, not spicy, but still very pleasant. There was also plenty of grilled chicken present. Twice in two days, I must say the owner is really nice as you know he is being around when he knows his customers by name and he calls them by it and know their choices. The food is really good and they know what they are doing. Had a little concern based on the few negative reviews, but figured they wouldn't be around as long as they have unless they knew what they were doing. I was told by a lot of folks that I HAD to try Ninos pizza, "it's the best in the state" , pretty brash statement! Of course I had to give it a shot. Now granted, I haven't bought a full fresh pie.....yet. But I did stop a couple times. I had their regular slices, and even reheated it was pretty damn good. I tried a couple slices, reheated it was good. A bit greasy, but they use a nice spicy pepperoni that I really like. I tried a meatball parm sub. The Freaking thing was the weight of a baby!! They Def give you your money worth, BUT the meatballs had a little too much garlic for my liking. I need to try a sausage parm sub next time I stop by. The reason I only gave them 4 stars is probably why a lot if people do, they DON'T deliver! It's hard to believe in this day and age that a pizza parlor doesn't deliver. But from what I've been told they have been this way for eons, so more power to them. Which leads me to my second complaint, those close early. But since they don't deliver there probably isn't a good reason to stay open later on Friday and Saturday night. read more

Wow! Talk about great tasting pizza!!!!!! We ordered a sausage pie and man oh man I would place Nino's in my top 5 for best pizza and I love pizza so I've tried a lot of places. It was good quality cheesy goodness and the sausage was sliced (vs crumble which I don't like). I also appreciated that all workers had their masks on properly which I'm finding is not always the case especially in smaller establishments. The only downside was that I didn't think the pizza tasted quite as good reheated but ultimately I can't wait have them again! read more
